Half Price Books

An unusually good selection. They had 3 books from my youth that I'd been searching for.

Our grandchildren LOVE to read and we often take them to get new books. When my husband suggested we go to Half Price Books, I thought they would be dirty 2nd hand books, to my surprise most of them looked very good and a lot were new. I would definitely suggest trying this place out!

I love browsing through the selection of quality publications offered at Half Price Books and have added many books not found elsewhere to my collection.

Great selection of books and well organized store. Love the deals on books and you can even bring in your used books to sell to them. It's often not a lot, but I love the idea of getting books into new hands who want them. The store not only has books, but also games, Legos, vinyl, and some other great gifts. You can also shop online and pick up in store, which is very convenient.

It's my favorite HPB to go to! I can always find something when I come here. It's always clean and organized and the staff is so incredibly friendly here! I love that they stopped using paper bags! They do have reusable bags available for purchase, but I have so many I always bring mine in with me!

This is such a neat Half Price Bookstore. Everything is clean and pleasant, and there's such a great selection of books, games, toys, and blank notebooks. The employees are so kind and very knowledgeable. They also have a great selection of classic tabletop role-playing source books. I always love coming here!

Bought four used books for a total of $8. You can also sell books here - plus they also have used DVDs and video games. Very cozy boutique bookstore atmosphere and friendly employees.

Absolutely love this place!!! They sell, obviously, books but also cds, movies, calenders, games, puzzles, and so much more! New and old....i saw a mad tv comic book!!! They buy books too! Bought 6 items for less then $40. Book worm or not this is definitely a place to check out

Great place to shop for books that will not break your budget. I usually shop for programming or business books and seem to have never left this store without finding something worth getting as you can see by the picture attached.
Employees are helpful and very friendly and books are always in great condition.

A large selection of books with amazing prices. Shelves are stocked and organized very well along with their game aisles. The cashiers were very kind and helpful

Half Price is the best. Great books, great prices. Special editions, vinyl, comics. They have it all. And they buy your old books.

Spent an hour wandering, and reading. Very stress relieving. Not many bookstores around to do that in anymore.

This store is definitely a hidden GEM! My entire family loves coming in there. The staff is so great. Definitely one of our favorite stores to find that unique treasure weather it be a book, music, game, action figure, music or special trinket, we never leave empty handed!

I am giving this store 5 stars initially because of an employee by the name of Corrin out of the Downers Grove location where I shop regularly.
So, I called the store and Corrin picked up the phone very friendly, she smiled through the phone!! This young lady is a customer service guru!! Corrin went above & beyond the call of duty to help me, she took the liberty of locating a book that she didn’t have in store, she did ask if I wanted to order it however, because I needed it immediately, she then located it and placed it on hold for me in the Naperville store! Corrin was super friendly, patient, energetic, enthusiastic and then some! I just can appreciate great customer service. If u ever need anything please check out the Downers Grove location or the Naperville one where I was dazzled even further by a great employee by the name of Jonathan also, a guy I encountered over the phone by the name of Steve: great guy! He was very kind & professional! Thank you Half Price for hiring superstars!!

I love half price books! On my recent visit, Casey was a huge help! She took me to where they had the books my sister was searching for and helped us with figuring out the order of the books to read! Great experience!
