Clems Bait and Tackle

Coming from out of town. I was fishing at the spillway, and saw the bait shop across the street. The owner was very friendly, and knowledgeable about the waters. Unique lures for many species, and fair prices. If in the area again, will definitely be stopping in!

Went in to get some worms for my granddaughters turtle w VERY little cash and the gentleman GAVE them to us!! Was not expecting that but it absolutely made my day…

I was looking for a big fishnet for a funeral. Low and behold the wonderful man found me exactly what I was looking for! Walking into Clems took me back to my childhood from fishing with my Dad and Uncle's ❤❤ Thanks again.

Old school bait shop located right near popular fishing location. Prices aren't the cheapest around, but still a very nice spot to stop for bait and a few items you may need. It's always worth stopping in to talk about what's been biting with some locals that may be also stopping through. Staff have always been friendly.

I Really enjoyed stopping at this quaint little Bait shop . Had everything my Grandson & I needed , had nice size Leaches and the tackle we needed along with a couple bags of ice and bottles of water . Will definitely will stop by again when we come back to Alpena !!!!!!!! Also the Location was great, right across from the Dam we were fishing at . Easy in , Easy out .

Clem is a super nice guy, very helpful, and friendly. So nice in fact, he ended up giving me a few new hook to try. The hooks worked awesome I might add. Definitely recommend this place.

Best baitstore experience ever. Told us what to use, where to go, and even where to find the best burger and beer in town. Can't wait to come back and get some more bait!!!!! Was so happy I almost went back to ask Clem to be in my wedding!!!! Lol.

Clean store, easy parking access, and the shop owner was friendly and gave us a bunch of great tips on the local fishing spots.... Plan on stopping by next time we're in town

Nice small shop with near everything you need. Bit light on fly equipment but overall good experience here.
