I love the food here. The onion rings are battered and fried to order so yes they may be greasy but they are delicious. The food is hot and good. Service has been great all 3 times I have been here... all different wait staff.

This place has great food at good prices, I haven't had bad service and the atmosphere is rustic. Great little hometown restaurant.

Great food. Friendly staff. Even friendly others at the bar. Great portions. Cold beer. Can’t beat it. Was up in alpena for work. It was walking distance from where I stayed. And after 7 hours of driving walking distance was a bonus.

It was our first time there. We will go back. The food was very good. The service was fantastic and friendly.

Everything was great, the food was yummy, our waiter was friendly, kind and knowledgeable. Our water glasses were never empty, our food was quickly prepared hot and fresh, from the kitchen, to our table. The menu, has a lot of variety, something for everyone. The restaurant has several comfortable dining areas including seating at the bar. The restaurant was clean, the windows were clean and the restroom was very clean.
We would definitely return and wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend THEM to anyone.

was invited to a birthday party here. pizzas were served along with a house salad. We had pictures of beer and gathered in a room on the side. place seem busy on a Friday night but all was good with us. Service was right on the ball. would return seemed like a fun place was pretty busy.

Always a great experience! Kind and professional staff! Great quality food, that comes in generous proportions. This restraunt has stood the test of time and economic droughts, as it is a great part of Alpena. If you have not visited this restraunt/bar, the only one missing out, is you!

I really enjoy conversations with their staff. They really know how to welcome patrons. A Home town feel with charm and good eats.

I enjoyed a pulled pork sandwich and house fries. It made my week.

Absolutely loved the meal we had. The steak was made. Service was very attractive. Prices were what you would expect to pay for that kind of meal.

Went for my birthday with my husband and parents our server was terrific and the food was very good also. The cod, chicken fajitas and the prime rib was great

Nice atmosphere, great food!

We went for lunch and it was enjoyable. The sandwich I had was delicious and the fries were good. The server was pleasant and attentive. While nearing the expensive side for a lunch, overall the experience was enjoyable and I will return periodically.
Update: still good place to go.

Their website was a little outdated - food cost a little more (thank you inflation) and menu had a couple less items, but the food was excellent and we had a top not service. We will definitely be back.

How refreshing, great service, great food and very reasonable prices. I grew up in Alpena/Ossineke , now days you are lucky to be taken care of with the service I used to expect. Kudos to Chloe, great server. I highly recommend the 19th hole

Food was wonderful! My chicken was cooked perfectly, as well as the tendercrisp fresh (NOT FROZEN) vegetable medley. My husband said his coconut shrimp was very good, as well! Service was excellent.

Great food! We had a party of 6, and everyone was pleased. Good Bloody Mary. Poor waitress/bartender was slammed and working alone. We were patient and rewarded with a great time.
