Days Inn by Wyndham Alpena

Needed access to ice, a restroom, and a clean sink to wash dishes when we ended up staying in town later into the day than I originally anticipated. Couldn’t think of anywhere to go that could give me all three. We were near the hotel so I stopped in to ask. They graciously allowed me access to all three - including offering me dish soap (I’d purchased a small bottle when buying cups and drinks for the road). Pretty sure I interacted with the owners. Whether I did or didn’t, the “after care” speaks to the the quality of the people who work there. We have at least two more trips to make in our home buying process and will definitely stay here again just because of the after service that they did NOT have to provide. We were HOURS after check out. Clean, quiet, dark room to sleep in, too!

We where in the area looking for a vacation property and had driven most of the day. We just happened to pull in to the Days Inn looking for a good night's rest. I was skeptical as I've never been a DI fan. We asked if a handicapped accessible room was available. To our surprise there was one! The room was awesome! I had plenty room to maneuver my wheel chair around. The bathroom was perfect, with a zero clearance shower that I could roll right into and the vanity was the perfect height! Seems most hotels think that a shower seat and some hand rails make it "accessible " but this was over the top convenient. On our way out my husband had his hands full with me and all of our things, housekeeping noticed this and graciously opened the doors for us. Only complai t was the TV seemed to be freezing up. Honestly, we were so tired we hardly watched it at all. Thanks Days Inn, Alpena! We will definitely be back!

Friendly staff, clean rooms and close to Alpena. Only complaint is I wish they had soft closing doors; especially the side glass doors that slam numerous times. Overall, a nice place to stay.

We stayed December 29th. The guy who checked us in was very friendly. The lobby was clean and inviting. Upon entering the room, it smelles good and was updated and clean. There was a nice couch in our room as well as a desk. The bathroom and towels were clean and the shower was hot with good pressure. The bed was comfortable and the heater worked well in our room. Breakfast attendant was very friendly. And the breakfast area was clean. Options included yogurt, oatmeal, waffles, bread items, juice and coffee. Food was fresh and delicious. We did not use the pool so I can't review that. The $60 price was very acceptable and we will stay again if we need a hotel in the area. Highly recommend!!

Excellent stay excellent room!! U know the light gray wood style flooring microwave fridge everything so clean and modern. Monthly visit to grandkids was a sucess!! Pool n jaccuzi was nice too

My dad used to work here when I was little so he always tells me to stay here when I'm in town. We stayed 6 nights and never had an issue. Room was clean, everything worked properly, best hotel shower I've ever taken too! Pool was fun, too. Fridge kept all my food nice and cold. Wifi was on-and-off working but I wasn't really bothered by that since I have unlimited data. If you're looking for a good, cheap stay in Alpena, come here!

Me and my husband stayed here April 8th and 9th.. Our pleasant encounter started when I made reservations and they were very polite and accommodating, The night we checked in the fella working the desk was very friendly and helpful as to suggest a place to grab dinner, it was getting late and we were tired and hungry, The room was a king bed and it was very clean and smelled refreshing, it had a desk and chair, and Chair and ottoman, a fridge that was nice size, along with a microwave and TV. Plenty of room to move around, the shower was amazing with excellent water pressure.. We are very pleased and look forward to the rest of our weekend, and will definitely stay here when we're in town!!!

The room was updated and clean. Conveniently located close to the ball fields. The pool was nice and lots of different breakfast options.

Continental breakfast included (waffles, toast, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, apples, precooked ready to be microwaved omelette, juice, tea, coffee).
There was an indoor pool, we didn't visit.

The staff here put a lot of effort into making their hotel comfortable for guests while dealing with covid and renovations. We appreciated the breakfast that was still provided, with individually wrapped bread, yogurt, and other standard food items. Their pool was also a nice bonus, although if you want to swim laps, two people is probably the maximum before you start running into one another. There are laundry facilities, and the pet fee is $20. Our room was clean and fair for the price. The AC unit is very loud, and the walls are very thin, but other than that, can't complain.

The staff was very helpful. My son overflowed the toilet with toilet paper one morning and the staff was quick fixing it and very kind about it. Also I forgot my glasses at the hotel after checking out and the staff mailed them to me.
The room was clean and comfortable and the pool and hot tub was nice.

The staff is super nice and helpful. The place is clean, quiet, and kid-friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the Alpena area. I have stayed at 2 of the other chain hotels and this is the best by far. Customer service is top-notch despite the known labor shortage.

I live in town and my sister came to visit from downstate, she has a lot of health issues and mold and things like that really bother her. The room was so clean and fresh and they were just wonderful all around. I would recommend this hotel to anybody and it is the only one I will recommend other than the airbnbs I work at LOL. Also, if there are any people who enjoy Rock hunting like fossils Petoskey stones and such their entire outdoor area has tons and tons of rocks like that

Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was slim. My only complaint is that the bathroom vanity is not meant for a person over four feet tall.

The staff are pleasant and very accommodating! The rooms were extremely clean, mattresses were so comfortable I was able to get a great nights sleep! They also opened their small conference room for about 15 of us to bring outside food to enjoy! Thank you!

This waS 5 star for location and room. You are 5 to 10 minutes from downtown Alpena and Starlite beach. Meijer and Walmart are right down the road as well for supplies. The pictures of beds and room online were spot on. Beds were comfy and TV you get direct TV with tons of channels. Pool was nice for our kids on rainy days and the outdoor grass area was nice to relax outside after a long day at the beach. Room service staff was 3 or 4 people they will get your room just takes time so be patient. Will stay here again.

The motel was very clean and appealing from the outside to our room. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. It had a great Continental breakfast. We we're very happy with our stay and definitely will be coming back.

I was very surprised when I stayed there a few nights it’s actually very clean comfortable and quiet. Friendly professional staff and the only thing I can say is from the outside it doesn’t look as nice as what it is on the inside. Could use a bit of a facelift up on the exterior but overall it was great.

Newly renovated! I have been staying here one night every 6 months or so for work and I was pleasantly surprised with all the renovations the new owners are doing! My room was fully updated and I have never stayed in a room so clean before. I look forward to the next time I get to stay here!

This place was awesome!! Very clean and comfy beds. Bathroom was very clean. They have a pool and hot tub. They also offer a free breakfast which had a decent selection. I will definitely stay here again!!
