Food was very good. Best breakfast sandwich I have ever had! They were very busy, the poor guy at the counter was taking nonstop orders. Our food was done in a decent amount of time. Definitely would go back.

This place keeps me coming back to Alpena. The staff is so friendly and the food is so good. I recommend the Ruben.

Five stars don't even come close to enough for the Take Five Deli. My usual is the turkey bacon melt and broccoli cheddar soup which honestly makes me smile every time I have it. I've never been disappointed though with any other choices from here. You're greeted with a smile and everyone is always cheerful and friendly. If you're a local, you already know how great it is. If you're just passing through, DEFINITELY stop in! You won't be disappointed!!

We stopped by to get a quick lunch. It was so good! We tried the Turkey bacon sandwich the tomato soup, my son got the Rueben and the broccoli soup. Very nice owners! The food was amazing you can tell they put so much love into what they do! Must try!

One of the best Ruben sandwiches I have had. Fast and courteous staff. Good place for a lunch and great soup of the day selections.
Update: still go here regularly for lunch and still love the Ruben sandwich as much as the first time I had it. And the homemade soups are still delicious. This place always seemes to deliver!

Awesome food and superb service. I had a wrong order that was partly my fault (sandwich) and partly theirs (tea instead of soda) I called and they made it right, even though it was partly on me. Thank you again Take 5. Like I said, awesome food and the best service

We travel 1000 miles every summer to go camping in Northern Michigan, and this place has become a staple of our family tradition. Every year, we’re met with awesome hospitality, delicious food, and a neat atmosphere. The menu is pretty extensive, so there’s guaranteed to be something everyone will love. But if all else fails, try the Apple Pie Cookies. They are easily the best type of cookie I’ve ever had!

I Had a turkey bacon ranch wrap that filled me up.
I had half a wrap left to take with, walked off and left it behind. Was so disappointed. I Was really looking forward to having it later. 😥

Food was absolutely amazing and by far best customer experience I have had in Alpena area. They offer a lot of different items on their menu. Had the broccoli cheese soup and tuna melt and plan on coming back to enjoy more while here on my trip

Clearly a superior experience. Owners are "hands on", from the order/preparation/delivery/service, and much more. You do not get the computerized and sterile fast-food treatment at Take Five - you do get excellent tasting sandwiches and personalized service. Take Five - take five stars!!!

Take 5 Deli is family owned and operated. I should know, considering it's my family that owns it! But that being said, the food really is excellent. If you are looking for a good sandwich shop that makes an outstanding Ruben, great Burgers and Coney Dogs, and has the beat Pretzel bread sandwiches in town, this is the place to go! And don't forget the Homemade.Chilli and Broccoli Cheese soup that is served daily.

Great place to eat during the day. That being said they truly are only open until five on weekdays and not open at all on weekends. They have great tasting food and almost always awesome service. A little bit more expensive for the amount of food you get but well worth it. Great place to eat.

Worth! The staff is VERY polite and friendly! The food is reasonabally priced and is of good quality. The atmosphere was laid-back and I didn't feel weird about asking the local staff about the area we were visiting.
