Truly, the best place to rent a bike for cruising the carriage trails in Acadia. I have rented at least three if not, four times from Lucas and Sarah the owners of this small business. First class service and great people.!!! Wicked convenient to downtown

One of the best things to do in Acadia. We had never ridden E-Bikes before and these did not disappoint. We rode all through the carriage trails and boy did it help going up the mountains. This was by far the best experience we had.

Awesome experience riding these bikes through Arcadia on the carriage trails! Reserving our bikes was super easy and they answered all our questions before we booked. The bikes are electric assist and really fun to ride. Just start peddling and the bikes electric motor takes off, hills are super easy. I might have to buy one for at home! The morning we picked up our bikes was pretty hectic but went smooth and faster than expected. Customer service was top notch and we really appreciated the quick itinerary laid out on the map. Thanks for a great experience!

Had a full day reservation for two e-bikes and ended up with some unforeseen problems that made me unable to walk. I called the morning of our reservation and asked if there is anyway we could get our money back (the cancellation policy is 48 hours notice). I was not hopeful as I know they probably deal with entitled tourists all too often and we missed the cancellation window. Talked with Sarah who was quick to cancel our reservation with a full refund. Phenomenal customer service. Didn’t end up using the bikes but wanted to leave a review seeing as other reviews historically complained about bad customer service. When we come back and can try again for round two we will most definitely use Pedego!

We were happy to see there was a PEDEGO dealer in Bar Harbor because we are PEDEGO owners for the last five years. So was great to have the opportunity to ride bikes in Acadia National Park we reserved the bikes two days before we were going to ride the owner of this PEDEGO shop is LUCAS he lived there on Bar Harbor all his life so he is very informative and helpful about things to do and restaurants on the island. We had a great ride through the park and if we ever travel back, we will do it again. I don't think you can't go wrong if you rent PEDEGO's on Bar Harbor.

Walked right in on a Sunday afternoon with 3 other friends to see if they had any last minute rentals. Thankfully they did, I would recommend a reservation in busy season, because it was so much fun.

After a quick lesson, we were handed a map and given recommendations for our journey. Biking from town to Acadia was a breeze! These bikes made the Carriage Roads possible for anyone to enjoy. Our three hour rental took us on a 20 mile tour of the island and all the way to Jordan Pond.

Couldn't recommend more! We did have an issue with a bike at the beginning, but the shop owner and her daughter fixed the issue right away. Great customer service!

My wife and I were looking to view scenery of Acadia National Park. We were weighing kayaking vs. ebiking as we already had hiked multiple trails. Naomi at Pedego was so kind and helpful as we decided to rent the ebikes. Was a short ride to the carriage roads and 21 miles later we were able to obtain memories we will not forget.

First, Sarah and Naomi are amazing and honesty the nicest people you would ever want to meet! Secondary, this was first time for my wife and I on ebikes. It was awesome, easy to get used to and the BEST way to see the beauty of Acadia National Park! This is a must for when visiting Bar Harbor.

Great experience! The best way for a group of all abilities to see Acadia with the option to get a good workout or not break a sweat. Covered about 25 miles of the park in a couple of hours and could to the park right from Pedego without having to load the bikes. We had plenty of battery charge remaining if we had time to do more. The staff members were great and made sure we had a map, made suggestions and gave explanation of how to operate the bikes. I would highly recommend this event and service, you won’t regret it!

Went through the carriage trails did a 3 hour rental. We did this on our last day on a whim and I wish we had rented them more! The trails were awesome and only thing I wish we did differently was rent earlier and plan to get lunch at Jordan House. We did the trail around Eagle lake and Witch hole.

My husband and I spent a week up in Bar Harbor and rented bikes from the Bar Harbor Pedego store for two of those days. My husband is an avid road cyclist and rides thousands of miles each year so he's hard to impress when it comes to bike stores.

But we were both blown away by the level of knowledge and service we received. This is a family owned business and they are one incredible family. We were greeted by Phoebe behind the counter who is only 14 years old but don't let that fool you. Her level of maturity and knowledge about the bikes was well beyond her years. She even went over all the trails up in Acadia National Park with us and told us all about the best place to have lunch up there.

Then on the next day, we were greeted by Mallory who is Phoebe's 17 year-old sister. We also had another great conversation with her as she made sure our bikes were ready to go. This family has four daughters and everyone of them work at the store including their 7 year old who sells water and other snack items to customers.

We loved this story and hope to see them again next summer when we come back to Acadia National Park.

We would highly recommend making a reservation and renting early because they are a busy store in a great location and the bikes go quickly.

AMAZING time e-biking on the carriage road in Acadia National Park! Could the owner be any sweeter?! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. Keep in mind, the tandem bike is not as easy to catch on to, with children. After getting the hang of it though, we all had a great time. I highly recommend! Side note- the bikes have cute colors too!

I reserved my bike online last night and picked it up this morning for the day. The bike was great and the service was helpful and friendly. I hope to return to Bar Harbor and rent from here again. I loved riding the carriage roads and the ride to Acadia from the shop was not difficult. You just have to pay attention to the bike path signs to go the easiest way.

This is the absolutely BEST way to see Acadia! My wife and I did 30 miles around the carriage trails without breaking a sweat! We would never have been able to do that on regular bikes. We had never done e-bikes before and it couldn’t have been easier. I would definitely recommend!!!

I highly recommend Pedego Bikes in Bar Harbor. The staff was friendly and helpful. They made sure we had a good biking plan and that we knew how to operate the bikes. It is a great way to explore Acadia with a group of varying bike abilities. Thank you for a fantastic day!

No better way to experience Acadia. I rented e-bikes for myself and my athletic parents, who had never been on e-bikes. They mostly stayed in level 1 pedal assist, which was a good pace to enjoy the scenery.

Having been in the park to hike two days earlier, I wasn’t sure I wanted to return because of the crowds and traffic. The carriage roads are not busy at all and we were the only ones at many of the stops we made. I’ll be renting these e-bikes for future Acadia trips.

The shop staff was helpful in explaining the bikes, as well as highlighting best routes and trail closures.

We rented the bikes for the 4 hour block. The morning and time of our reservation it was pouring. We called and Jonathan was very accommodating, he suggested we take a later time slot in the day or he would refund us completely. We took the later slot. Jonathan have us a map of the park to which he went over and highlighted the Acadia route and told us about some of the more scenic spots to stop. It was by far the best thing we did our entire trip. We would rent from him again in a heartbeat. This was so much fun!!

We had such an awesome experience renting E bikes. The pick up/drop off process was easy and the staff was very helpful when determining our bike route through the park. Highly recommend!

John, the manager, was very reasonable! When we found out we couldn’t take the tandem on the carriage roads, he offered to let us take single bikes at the same rate! When my girl friend didn’t feel comfortable handling the single bike, he let us switch back to the tandem. Since nobody else had reservations for the tandem, he let us take it out for the whole day at the half day rate. He gave us a map for free so we could find our way around the park! Also, the metered parking by the shop will only let you park for four hours so I left some quarters with him and he offered to feed the meter for us until we came back.

Overall, this was a great experience!! I recommend the tandem because it’s a relationship builder and you have someone to talk to the whole time. It takes lots of coordination and teamwork!

Highly recommended experiencing Acadia on a bike!

This was by far the best thing we did on our vacation and definitely recommend this to anyone looking to visit Acadia National Park in a fun, exciting and adventurous way! Jonathan was nothing but helpful and professional assisting us with the best choice spots to stop, map review and bike tutorial. Also, comparing rental pricing elsewhere, they are very reasonable and this really is a must do for anybody looking to have a great time!!
