My Prius had a noise which was noticeable when driving over 40mph and got louder when turning right. Southdale Firestone in Edina near my house misdiagnosed it as front suspension replacement $1600, which was done and the noise was still there. Next was a BP gas station shop on hamline and grand in St. Paul diagnosed it as a defective transmission and recommended replacing it with a new one. They said it has a CVT transmission and continued to tell me that cvt stood for constant velocity transmission. I don’t know too much about transmission but I do know cvt stands for continuously variable transmission. I ofcourse didn’t go with there recommendation and decided to get a diagnostic from Richfield transmission. They were upfront about there diagnostic fee and were efficient in finding the root cause. Turns out it was the right front wheel bearing. Replaced it and no more noise. Thank you Richfield transmission for doing an excellent job.

Best repair experience ever! Chuck is awesome plain and simple. My transmission started going out last week and he tried everything short of replacing the whole thing because that is one of the more costly repairs for a car. I was notified with step by step progress in regards to the diagnostic process and given options at each step which made me feel comfortable and also that I wasn't being taken advantage of. My part was delivered late from the distributer and while it was not the shops fault, they helped me out with transportation so I could continue to commute to work and that was greatly appreciated as rentals can be very costly. They didn't have any loaner cars available at the time and I was allowed to use the "shop van" which to me was the difference between getting to work or not! Much thanks to Chuck and the team! You guys are awesome!!!

I'm glad I found this shop. My truck wasn't running correctly and had several issues, chuck and his crew took care of it and had it back running in no time, they really know what they are doing. His prices are reasonable as well. I would strongly recommend you to use this shop to do any service on your vehicle.

I am certain that other garages might have done the work and not told us of about the little know warranty we were able to qualify for. Having Chuck look at my car was awesome! Super nice guy; kind, professional and laid everything out for me. Labor cost was perfectly reasonable and he gave me plenty of options for fixing it. Definitely would bring my car and any future cars to him again!!

Good shop. Chuck and the techs were able to describe what they intended to do, gave me exact prices (down to the penny) and let me make the call on if wanted it done or not. I had most of what they recommended done. The work order was very clear in regards to work performed. very professional. You might find a cheaper place out there, but you get what you pay for. I will bring my vehicles there again.

Amazing customer service. Even drove me back to my office personally so I didn't have to summon a ride. They were very effective at describing and diagnosing my issue and I found their pricing to be more than fair. Highly recommended and I will go back. Thanks Chuck and team!

I usually never leave reviews but this shop is the best I've been to. I talked with Chuck about how I had my car in multiple shops and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. Richfield transmission diagnosed all issues and did multiple repairs at a reasonable price. The car had a small issue a few weeks after all repairs were done. Brought the car back in and some of the wires were loose from the ignition switch. Got it all taken care of and didn't charge me any additional fees. I appreciate the honesty of these guys and willingness to work with their customers. Thanks!

Specifically told me NOT to put a transmission in my 99 Chevy and save my $(I did so against his advice at his shop) truck still runs great 2 years later no issues.

Besides that Chuck has went above and beyond getting my 2017 Ram into his shop finding and fixing the issues and getting me back on the road and working.

You dont find honest business owners like this often where they will give a professional opinion and aren't just about the sale. Thanks again!

Chuck and the guys are top notch! Had a few issues with our 14 Grand cherokee and some scheduled maintenance to be done. They used oem parts as requested and labor was very reasonable.

Much cheaper than the dealership and you get much better personal service. I'm very picky when it comes to mechanics working on my vehicles and I was comfortable throughout this process.

I strongly recommend Richfield transmission for all your service needs and we will certainly be using them again for any future repairs.

I have always have the best experience here. Just going there telling the problem or symptoms they will make sure it is in good working condition. My last visit was not too long ago I had something leaked and they check every possibilities and made sure it is all good and they endup not fixing it and didn't charge me anything. This is the shop you want to make sure to take xare of your vehicle. It is not all about money, I am very proud of them.

After being told by another shop that my car most likely needed a new transmission, I brought it over to Richfield Transmission Center. They checked it thoroughly and determined it only needed transmission fluid. They even offered to check again on the fluid level for free to rule out a leak. I appreciate their honesty and great service. I will be bringing my car here for regular maintenance from now on!

Chuck, the owner, went above and beyond with installing the transmission in my 2006 Nissan Titan. In the past year I have had to do a few repairs as one would with any high mileage vehicle. Every time that I have done business with Richfield Transmission they have been very professional and preform high quality work for a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this shop.

This is the best place to get your car serviced, in my opinion. The mechanics here really know their stuff and I had a problem with the van a bit ago. I was afraid that it was a really bad scary & expensive problem. It wasn't. I won't be able to tell you about it because I think my mechanics took a vow of silence for new drivers problems on my behalf. Suffice it to say, I sure learned something to watch out for. They have never thought less of me & all of my questions even though I am a driver who learned how to drive later than most. I love the way that they gave me a schedule for the van system and parts of the van to be looked at. You keep your car better with preventive maintenance. Actually, anything else is kept better that way as well. Bodies,Houses, Cars, or Relationships.

Great place to have work done. They do pretty much anything, and better yet they don't jerk you around. I can really appreciate a place where their goal is to service the customer. They went above and beyond my expectations when I dropped my vehicle off and they gave me a ride to where I needed to go, and came and picked me up when in was done. I would recommend them to anyone, good people and great service.

I dealt with Chuck only I brought in a vehicle he knew some history on not only did he go above & beyond but very helpful in pointing out other concerns . Very stand up guy I'd go back anytime if I didn't live 3 hours away. If you want a trustworthy mechanic Chuck is your guy very knowledgeable & helpful .
