We recently had our house and garage sided by Gold Star Contracting. Jake and his crew did a wonderful job. The customer service of this company was exemplary. Jake followed up on all the details. When he said something was going to be done, it was done and on time. Jake's crew worked hard even when Jake was not here. Jake told us the job would take four days. They completed it in 2 1/2 days. We would recommend them in a heart beat. Even the clean-up was fast and efficient. Gold Star Contracting is definitely a 5 star company!

Jake and his team are phenomenal! They do top notch work. The crew was here at 7:30 and wrapped up at 3:30. Jake was super helpful in selecting a great color. Totally recommend them!

Jake and his crew from Gold Star contracting did an exceptional job replacing our roof and siding. Jake made the process painless and worked with our insurance company to resolve several outstanding issues, which was a total pain to deal with, but he did it anyways. And let's be honest... some siding companies do a really poor job with the install. Water gets in, things look sloppy and corners get cut. Gold Star did not do that. They really went the extra mile to make things look great and function properly, even if it took a little longer. I can't recommend them enough.

I called Gold star desparately very late the night before my insurance roof inspection since the other company had stood me up and Jake returned my call pretty quick. He listened to the situation we had and sent Frank to my house the day after, even though it was last minute. Frank was very experienced and told me its promising for insurance to accept the hail damage with the high percentage and that’s exactly what happened. After my insurance approved the Roof damage, both Frank and Jake went through the details of what will happen and in fact to also repair the portion of the roof that always was leaking. Jake was very cooperative with the contract and not only he scheduled the roof replacement right away, in a higher temperature day, but also they repaired taht problematic part of the roof. They listened to our instructions of how we want it to be fixed and dis exactly what they were supposed to. We have a big house and they finished in 1.5 days including cleaning up. I asked for double checking all the eay around the house to make sure no pins are around left and the crew with Frank instructions dis a nice job on that, spen a lot of time to make sure nothing’s left. Both Gutters/ down spouts and roof/ shingles replacement were pro. I appreciate them helping me out while I sas helpless and knew no company to help. Either they were busy, didnt return my call back or stood me up. Thanks to Gold Star, quickly our roof was fixed and replaced. Totally recommend Gold Star.

Gold Star Contracting replaced the roof on our home and they did an outstanding job from beginning to end.

I was getting several estimates and wasn’t able to meet Jake for our initial consult because of traffic, so he did the consult by phone. He even jumped onto the roof and placed temporary patches up so we wouldn’t get any more damage if it rained. This was before we had even hired him.

After reviewing the packet he left and speaking to Jake on the phone it was a no brainer to choose Gold Star.

Our insurance put up many barriers to discourage our claim for weather damage, and Jake carefully explained the process of submitting (and re-submitting) our claim, what questions to ask, and how to follow-up to get the settlement we were entitled to. It took some time, but the insurance eventually paid for replacing the roof.

As soon as it was approved, Gold Star ordered the shingles and finalized the date for installation which was in about 10-days. The Gold Star crew arrived at the crack of dawn, worked all day in the hot sun, and did a beautiful job. The crew was incredibly professional and considerate. They did an amazing job of cleaning up before they left, and we never found a single nail or piece of debris in the yard. I was really worried about this because we have kids and pets that could get hurt stepping on nails. I appreciate their attention to detail and the care they took in protecting my home during the construction process.

My new roof looks fantastic, and I have received numerous compliments from my neighbors on the craftsmanship. I highly recommend Gold Star Construction to anyone in need of roofing services. I would definitely recommend Gold Star Contracting for your roofing/siding needs. Jake and his team did a fantastic job on our house! He communicated almost every day and returned all our calls promptly. He also worked with our Insurance Company directly so we did not have to have the hassle.
He ensured all our questions and concerns were answered and went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. When I had concerns about the new siding and trim color matching the old, Jake went above and beyond in finding the old color to ensure a perfect match! All work was completed timely and on schedule. He came back to ensure the job was completed to our satisfaction and to see if we had any additional concerns or questions. Jake and his team were very courteous and professional. Minnesota was hit with several severe hailstorms last summer. My own home and 5 rental properties suffered damage. Frank (Crew Foreman) inspected the roofs for free, the insurance agent confirmed there was significant damage. 3 of the rental properties are Northwest of the Twin Cities, 2 rentals and my own home are Southeast. Frank was so accommodating considering the distance involved! The crew arrived at the appointed time and did not leave until the entire roofing job was completed! No debris, nails, garbage, etc. was left behind. They were very careful not to damage any landscaping around the buildings. The company offers high quality and superior craftsmanship. They surpassed all my expectations. I was pleased with the entire process. I would definitely recommend them because of their trustworthiness and quality of their work! Job well done!
