We didn't stay at the mansion, but took part in the Murder at The Mansion - Holiday Edition event tonight. It was the first time doing a "who done it" like this and it was a blast. Very well done and the others there (quite a large crowd) were a blast. Definitely something I'll look to do again. The only comment from the "investigator" role people (I wasn't one) was to have some thing more to fill their time during the first part and a little more general interactivity.

Oh my gosh.....the Speakeasy Suite is a DREAM! The bathroom is beyond amazing and it is the nicest room I have ever stayed in. The mansion is beautiful and well cared for. There is no doubt we will be back again and again. Love this place - A+++

This house is so gorgeous! Beautifully decorated, cute tea/coffee service, quiet and courteous housemates. The only thing I didn't like about the house was the bedroom doors- they stick because they're not square (house has shifted over the years), so forcing them open and closed was Really loud.

The elegant New Year's Eve party at the Cotton Mansion was a fabulous time! Duluthians and visitors to Duluth made for an eclectic group of fascinating and festive people. An evening to remember.

I visited Cotton Mansion for a company event over the holiday season. The holiday decor was beautiful and I appreciated being able to explore the entire mansion.

Showing her age a bit from curb, but inside is well maintained, with historic furnishings. Remote management was a bit off-putting. Maria, who probably has multiple properties to manage, promptly returned texts, patiently answering questions and addressing concerns. Still the mansion deserves a greeter to offer tours and knowledge about her history. Our suite was clean and comfortable, with sparkling updated bath. It was an anniversary celebration, and we wandered and wondered through the common rooms.

This mansion is gorgeous! Lots of history and charm. Large rooms, quiet, clean, comfortable, and super relaxing. The hosts were amazing! Some of the best breakfast we've ever had! Our room (Bell Cotton) had a whirlpool and gorgeous bathroom. Great views of Lake Superior and Downtown Duluth. We will definitely be back!

Rooms are spacious and beautiful, lots of old hand-carved detailing throughout the home from times past. Plenty of amenities, with a beautiful bath set up and plenty of fluffy towels in our suite. Coffee set up in the room with some water bottles and snacks, which were a nice touch. Sounds do spread throughout the building quite easily, but that’s to be expected in a building as old as this one. Overall a very comfortable and enjoyable experience!

We were married at the cotton mansion last weekend and it was everything we wanted and more. Kimberly was very kind and ran through everything with us as soon as we got there. Our room was wonderful. Breakfast was delicious as well. I would definitely recommend the cotton mansion for an elopement. We will definitely be coming back for our anniversary.

Absolutely fabulous experience!! My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was better than we could have ever imagined!! We stayed in the Terrace suite which was so beautiful, spacious, and comfortable!! The owners are so wonderful, very welcoming and such gracious hosts!! They made us feel right at home and we're so kind to us during our entire stay!! Kimberly makes the most delicious breakfast too, way better than any restaurant of the many we had in Duluth and otherwise! The mansion itself is absolutely breathtaking and very well kept and clean! Pictures do not do it justice (even though I took a million). We could not be happier with our experience and will never forget this experience. We will most definitely be back for another stay in the future and they have earned our business forever- stay here, you won't regret it!!

My now husband and I planned our wedding in about 3 weeks, though I had been eyeing this place for years. We booked a last minute elopement and I couldn’t be more happy that we did! The mansion is absolutely gorgeous and makes for a great background in pictures. Ken and Kimberly were both amazing and helpful and though we were only scheduled to be there an hour, allowed us a lot more time for photos. We had to drive for a few hours before the ceremony and they were even so kind as to offer us rooms to change in so we wouldn’t have to travel in our wedding clothes. The rooms were beautiful and spacious as well! I can’t recommend them enough, they helped make our day so simple and stress free. It was absolutely perfect in every way!

We took a weekend to get away and chose to go to the Cotton Mansion in Duluth. We stayed in the Bell Cotton Suite which was a great choice. The home itself is well cared for and very spacious. Although there were other guests we didn't feel cramped or awkward with being in shared spaces as can sometimes happen at B&B's. The home was also very quiet so you don't have to worry about being disturbed by noises traveling through halls and walls. There was a wine reception that also offered light snacks. They kept it stocked and available for longer than advertised. The caretakers were courteous and gave a good tour with history of the home. Our room was clean and well maintained. It was spacious and had enough room that we could enjoy our breakfast in our room. The food was good and of good variety. You won't leave hungry! During the weekend they do require a minimum of 2 night stay. Definitely a great choice for anyone looking to get away for a nice weekend.

Our daughter and son-in-law had an elopement package at Cotton Mansion the last weekend of September. It couldn't have been more perfect. Ken and Kimberly are the nicest, most welcoming hosts you could ask for and the house and guest rooms are absolutely incredible. Ken warmly greeted us on arrival and showed us around. We met Kimberly the next day at breakfast. She is the sweetest! I'm gluten free and she accommodated me beautifully. Everyone loved their delicious food. My husband and I stayed in the cottage house. Very private and so comfortable. Our wedding couple stayed in the master suite inside the actual mansion. Beautiful room with an even more beautiful view. The actual wedding was so much more than we could have asked for. So private and intimate. Very much all about the couple getting married and not about making sure a hundred other people are happy. Ken and Kimberly were always there to help us with everything we needed, but also gave us our time and privacy to take it all in. They let us make use of their beautiful home to take pictures wherever we wanted. I have seen some of the preview pictures and they are gorgeous! I simply can't recommend Cotton Mansion enough for a wedding or just for a wonderful bed and breakfast getaway. We are already planning on coming back next year for a first anniversary celebration. Thank you so much for an extraordinary weekend, Ken and Kimberly! 😊
PS, for anyone complaining about taking their shoes off at the door, this is standard at historic B&Bs. We have stayed at two others in the area and that was their policy as well. Just bring along a pair of slippers.

Lovely and classy place you can wish for bed and breakfast.
Hosted by very welcoming people who takes good care of you. The mansion itself is very well decorated, spacious, classy, clean and photo perfect. We have stayed in two of their rooms and they both were very beautiful. Perfect for anniversary and special occasions. We celebrated our fourth and fifth anniversary there and we loved it.
Breakfast was good and tasty. They also consider some special request too.
Note: we were pleased to know that they sanitized their rooms in advance for COVID time stay.

This bed and breakfast is amazing! We were so lucky to come across it in this app. From the ease of booking, arrival, the room and the breakfasts far exceeded our expectations. I consider myself to be a high maintenance person when it comes to food (Dad was a chef) and Kimberly’s breakfasts are amazing plus it’s fun to connect with other couples for an hour. The rooms were clean and the beds were so soft. We both work a lot and so just getting away to reconnect for a weekend was amazing. Would highly recommend staying here. Ken and Kimberly are very passionate about their home and it definitely shows. They take every step to ensure your stay is perfect. Even down to the exact directions.

Wow, I cannot say enough good things about the Cotton Mansion! The hosts Ken & Kimberly were so kind and welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The Mansion is a beautiful historic home and kept up so well, we we’re very impressed with how nice and clean everything was. The room was very large and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows & blankets to keep you warm and comfy. They provided the nicest all natural Shampoo/conditioner and body wash which was a very nice touch! And finally the food... AMAZING!!! I don’t think you could get a better breakfast anywhere in Minnesota! The presentation was beautiful, and everything tasted fantastic! It was better than a 5 star restaurant in our opinion! We cannot wait to go back again!

The Cotton Mansion was amazing! We found them while looking for elopement packages and it was one of the best decisions we ever made. The mansion itself is beautiful, and you can tell Kimberly and Ken put a lot of love and hard work into it. We stayed in the bell cotton suite, amazing room with a huge jet bathtub. We went with a traditional ceremony, which ken did an AMAZING job with. Kimberly was the sweetest person ever, an amazing cook, and made us feel so special. We had breakfast delivered to our room each morning, and it was the perfect amount of food, and some of the best breakfast food we have ever had. We had such an amazing time! And Kimberly even let me take home the flowers from our room :) we will be back for sure!

A fun and unique place to stay in Duluth. A beautiful home that's a part of Duluth's history. We enjoyed the Belle Suite room for our anniversary. The room had a large jacuzzi tub, fire place, and adjoining bathroom with a clawfoot tub. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast in our room the following morning. It was fun to explore the house and appreciate the intricate details and woodwork throughout. The owners were very friendly and accommodating.

I cant say enough about this place. The mansion is gorgeous and has been meticulously restored and maintained. The rooms are beautifully decorated and clean. There are whirlpool bath suites in the renovated Carriage House out back. If you choose to have breakfast, be prepared to seated to a glorious set up in the dining room where you will be served a gourmet meal made right in the kitchen.
The owners are extremely welcoming and filled with interesting information about the home, its original owners, and the history of the home.

Truly SPECTACULAR mansion. This not your average B&B. We stayed here for our honeymoon almost 14 years ago and have returned twice. My favorite room is the Belle Cotton Suite, which is so romantic and is the only room with original bathroom, which we thought was pretty cool. The home was built in 1907 in Italian Renaissance style for the Cotton family. Mr. Cotton was an accountant for Rockefeller so this was Cotton's 2nd home where they spent summers (main home in NY). Ken and Kimberly are awesome hosts, breakfasts are super yummy and you just feel transported to another time there. By far our favorite B&B experience.
