Isaac is a phenomenal guitar rep! I came here to look for an 8 string with fanned frets. He found something that fulfilled all of my criteria and was surprisingly comfortable to play. He understood my priorities, recommending options that made sense for me and didn't push any particular instrument. Chose something excellent with a few comparisons for reference. Great representation for the brand.

No hassle guitar sampling and purchase. Lots of selections, plenty of amps to test with. Ended up with a Gretch G5210 in Cadillac green. Plays great, sounds fine, excellent value.

Helpful staff and a great selection of acoustic and electric guitars and other instruments. A big store that you could spend your entire day in and not see everything. We were travelling so unfortunately we couldn’t make a large purchase but we did get some good T-shirts, straps and picks to remember the place by.

The staff is really cool they can help you on what you need. They have all kind of things related to instruments here, not only guitars.

Great shopping experience here, massive selection to choose from. The manager talked with us on our way out and thanked us for shopping there which is always nice.

My visit to Guitar Center in Manhattan was truly remarkable, thanks to their incredibly knowledgeable and helpful staff. The most happening musical instrument store I have been to. If you have even slightest interest about music and playing instruments is your hobby, this is just the place for you.

There are separate sections for genre wise instruments - Electric guitar, Acoustic guitar, Keyboard, Drums, DJ decks etc.

You get to play your desired instruments as much as you want and then pick the best one for you. Found my ukulele at the store and the quality of the device was perfect!

Huge collection of guitars, and free to play. So during holiday, got myself some playing time :)

The staff is highly knowledgeable and will go the extra mile to help. I went in to buy the cheapest keyboard and came out with a $300 keyboard for 250 bucks. My son loved it. Will definitely go back to them if I ever need an instrument.

I loved just walking in and smelling the fresh, sweet scent that comes from the new guitars and equipment. If you want to have an instrument repaired, they can help you. Want a bass? They got it. What about acoustic? Hell yeah. Electric? WHO ARE YOU KIDDING THEY HAVE A WHOLE WALL! Drums, keyboards, pianos, stream gear, producing gear. They have it all. If it makes a sound, they got it. The aesthetic of the store was super cool, too. Each room had its own vibe and look based on the instrument that was in it. Staff was so nice and one of them started riffing on a guitar I was considering buying! I would totally recommend coming here, even if you aren't in the mood to buy an instrument. COME HERE TRUST ME YOU WILL LOVE IT!

shop was clean and well organized. You can play any instruments you want. Staffs are very kind and sure they are pros.

Great selection over other GC locations, especially for high-end amps and guitars, although they have drums, pro audio, a great repair/modification team. Great service. I’ve been to all the other guitar shops in BK and NYC and always come back here.

What a giant music store! Guitars as far and wide as the eyes can see… heaven. Yet also a ton of bass guitars, drums, keys, etc… great vibe with expert personnel that goes above (quite literally with the ladders 😂) and beyond to help you! Was a real treat to be here! Keep it up y’all!

If you are music person, I bet this place should be your paradise! Holy!!! While I explored my neighborhood, I found this place by chance! I spent almost 2hrs alone here!!!!! Holyyyyyyy!!!!

UPDATE - Since my previous review, I've had an AMAZING experience thanks to Rob Digiulio and David Perez.

Rob reached out to me a few days after my review. He asked what it would take to keep me as a customer. He went WAY above my expectations. Rob said he understood my frustration and the time & expense I incurred traveling to the Manhattan store from the Jersey Shore.

Not only did I get the guitar I was looking for at a nice discounted price, Rob also threw in very expensive gig bag. He had offered me a case, but when I told him I preferred a gig bags he made the switch on the spot. I never made any demands nor did I have to. He made this switch to make sure I was getting exactly what I would have bought as a matter of preference. Finally, Rob is sending me the leather strap of my choice at no cost. David made sure my order was processed correctly and out the door. A short time later I received a notification that my order was on the way.

As I mentioned above, the responsiveness and courtesy shown to me really exceeded my expectations, I'm truly blown away. I never write negative reviews and didn't really expect a response. Rob has changed my entire perception of Guitar Center. I feel as if I was treated by someone who's known me a long time, a friendly local merchant. He made me feel like I mattered. This was all done before Rob knew I am a professional musician and teacher. I perform 4-5 nights a week all year, so I spend a lot of money each year on accessories - strings, etc. I also take my students and friends shopping for guitars, or make recommendations. I feel like I can gladly take them or send them to Guitar Center with confidence.

Rob is a true professional and knows how to provide great customer service. I shared with him that I worked in customer service many years ago. I understand people make mistakes, it's what you do after that makes a relationship last. Rob and David certainly turned me around. Thank you both so much!

I would rate it 0 stars if possible. I saw a guitar as being shown in stock on the GC website. I called the Manhattan store to make sure they had it. I was told yes, was told that it was a floor model etc. I traveled over 2 hours to pick it up, plus the cost of train, taxis etc. When I got there, the sale rep told me it was in the basement and he would go get it. He disappeared and never came back. When I finally found him, he said “oh it was sent out for repair” and walked away. I’ve had issues with GC in the past and this is the last one because I will never enter another of their stores again.

If you’re looking to see which Guitar Center to go to… This location is the one. I want to shout out these employees by name; ROB, RUBEN, AND JACKSON.. THEY’RE THE ABSOLUTE BEST. I’ve never been so happy to spend my money the way I am here 😂❤
