My wife's 2018 Odyssey needed a transmission flush and the rear-end was stepping out on bumps (likely rear shocks) at 75k. After not being able to schedule an appointment with either local Honda dealerships on the NW side - I called SigmaTec and got an appointment for 4 days later - while on the initial call ZB quoted me for the transmission flush down to the penny.

They confirmed rear shocks needed to be replaced and were able to get the parts that day and have them installed and transmission flushed.

I asked about additional fluid flushes (coolant and brake) and ZB advised to hold off on the coolant until my 100k maintenance and to only do the brake fluid when it no longer passes specs.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. SigmaTec has found themselves another customer.

ZB and the SigmaTec crew could not have provided me a better service. Had them run a quote to have them install coilovers and Rear UCA’s on a 2019 TT-RS, appointment was set for about 5 days later, the team helped me unload the car from the trailer, and work was completed by lunchtime the next day. Went to pay the bill and was $100 less than the previous quote. SigmaTec will forever be my #1 as long as they’re in business. Great staff, friendly crew, phenomenal work and extremely competitive prices.

I've been thoroughly impressed each time we've used sigmaTech. They are honest about the best way to handle fixes, even if it is not using them. Has quoted me a higher price for a repair, but on final examination, they realized a part was not needed and dropped the price!

We have all of our vehicles serviced here. They've done lots of work for us and everytime a great job with reasonable prices. They most recently installed a new engine on my son's Subaru Legacy. They did a great job finding us the best used engine at a price (including installation) that beats buying another car during the current overpriced used car frenzy.

These guys have worked on our vehicles for years and have always gone the extra mile. Pricing is reasonable and they will tell you if something actually needs replacement unlike big box shops that are up selling.

SigmaTec is a no-nonsense, clean, honest "if it were my car" shop. The owner, ZB, provided multiple suggestions/options on how to get my vehicle running safely, was patient with my questions, gave superb advice, and never pushed for unneeded or more expensive work. The work was done very well, in a very reasonable amount of time, and at a very reasonable price. I'll be back, and I'll be recommending SigmaTec to any family, friends, and acquaintances. It's a relief to find an auto shop where I feel I can trust the work, advice, prices, and, ultimately, the people.

I thought I'd never find a reliable and honest auto shop again. SigmaTec changed my mind.

ZB, the owner, made sure he knew what I wanted done (confirm some diagnoses from another shop and do a basic overall inspection). Within a few hours, he called back, told me what they found, and very patiently talked me through options and answered all my questions.

When making the appointment, I told them to check the front links/struts because a dealer shop told me they were leaking. SigmaTec couldn't get my car in for a week (sign of a good shop is a busy shop), so I took it to another shop and ultimately asked the other shop to replace the front struts/links because they were indeed leaking. When I left my car at SigmaTec, I forgot to mention I'd already had them replaced. They told me the front struts/links were brand new - they didn't try to take advantage of me, and it was clear they checked what I'd asked them to. He also mentioned the rear struts were getting weak, but could probably go another year or so (the other shop told me they would need replacing very soon), and offered to clean them up at no charge to keep them from getting severely damaged any time soon.

They checked the power steering rack, which the dealer had diagnosed as leaking and in need of replacement. SigmaTec said it's losing fluid very slowly but not in need of replacement. I could replace the boots for about $200, but they also explained that if I ever decided to replace the whole steering rack, it would include new boots. So, the final option was to do nothing for now and wait until I could save a bit more to do the the whole rack and not waste $200. I appreciated multiple suggestions at different price points, and with safety always in mind. He said they'd clean off any leaked power steering fluid and check next time to assess the severity, which will give me a better idea about replacing just the boots or the whole rack. That was exactly the advice I wanted, and I never felt pressured one way or the other.

Finally, the rear brakes and rotors needed replacing (two other shops said the same thing). He quoted about $500, and I said do it because I had a big trip coming up. They were done in a few hours. When I went to pick up the car, they only charged $430. I mentioned the difference, and ZB said that sometimes they see one price when looking up quotes on parts/labor, but when they actually order the parts it's cheaper, and he has no hesitation in passing those savings on to the customer. I have seen so many shops (even heard staff at those shops bragging about it) that would charge the originally quoted price and pocket the difference without a thought about the customer. I am incredibly grateful for (and genuinely surprised by) such morality.

When picking up the car, I asked about my other car that has 220k miles and functions perfectly except for some noise from the transmission. I explained that I'd feel bad selling it while knowing that the transmission might fail soon, but it also seemed like a waste to junk the car when everything else works perfectly. He suggested listing it as a mechanic's special or taking it to a transmission shop where someone (a transmission mechanic maybe) might be willing to buy it if they could fix it up for just the cost of parts. I appreciated ZB taking an extra 10 minutes to help me problem-solve and give advice that, if I followed it, wouldn't make him any money.

The shop was the cleanest I've ever seen.

Thanks, SigmaTec.

I had sigmaTec install a set of lowering springs on my Genesis, and they did a great job. Very fair pricing, the people were great to communicate with, and they had the job completed in the timeframe promised. I would not hesitate to go back again. Recommended!

Always friendly, prompt with communication and fair on prices. Everyone working here is friendly and knowledgeable. It isn't just "the best Subaru shop in town"- but they're that too! Keeping me rolling at 275K on my 2008-T4R

I called on a Monday and got a appt on a Friday. When I went to drop my car off they didn’t have my name down but took me in anyways. They called me and gave me a quote for the costs of repair. The guy on the phone happily broke down the costs of everything for me answering any questions I had and why the quote was that amount which was nice. I called back with an additional question due to something I found when doing my own research and he was very nice and willing to explain why what I found online was incorrect and made me feel like they were doing the right thing. It is very nice they take the time to make you feel comfortable by answering your questions. Some other places seem so annoyed when you ask them to break down the costs or have any additional questions but they did not.

Long story short, SigmaTec saved me $580!

At another shop across town, I was quoted $1100 for front brakes. When they couldn’t answer questions, I was suspicious, and called SigmaTec on a family recommendation. ZB at SigmaTec told me, passionately and reassuringly, that I was being ripped off. On the phone, he gave me a much more reasonable estimate for free. I made an appointment that day.

After SigmaTec looked at my car, ZB walked through the other guys’ invoice, pointing out some crazy charges I would’ve paid, for parts I didn’t need. ZB’s final price was right in line with what I originally expected — about $500. They had it finished in a day!

It’s been a week since the repairs and everything is top-notch perfect.

What’s more: I told him I’d pick it up after work, and I was running a little late. He thoughtfully called me to make sure that I was okay, that I was still coming in, becuase they’re closed on the weekends and he didn’t want me to have to wait until Monday.

I probably shouldn’t share this last part, but they’re right down the road from Columbus Humane. I told my friend at the shelter that I was getting work done nearby, and she said “Oh, we love him. He almost never charges us… Even though we try to pay him!”

This guy’s out here quietly fixing animal rescue cars for free. If that doesn’t tell you something, I don’t know what will. There’s still some good people out there.

When I drop my car off at sigmaTec, I know I'm going to get an honest diagnosis and fair price for repairs or part installs. I did my own brakes for the first time and thought I screwed them up; they performed a full inspection and gave me the OK and sent me on my way at no charge (even went on a test drive with me). Had a transmission break and they referred us to a transmission rebuild specialist who did a great job at a fair price. Recently had some performance parts installed on my Focus RS and they did a great job at a fair price with very fast service. Everyone there is friendly and helpful, and as long as they're around I'll never take my car anywhere else when I need something fixed or installed. Thank you sigmaTec!

Best shop in town. They work on all makes and models, but if you have a Subaru then they are the guys for the job. I would trust them over a Subaru dealership any day. Especially if you own a WRX/STi. I have had the dealership mess things up on my WRX before and they have corrected it without any issue. I could not say enough good things about this shop and the people that work there. I recommend them to all my friends and family.

We have used Sigma Tech for 9 years and have nothing but great things to say about them. They do great work and are as honest as they come. If your looking for a mechanic I would look no further.

I take our Honda Fit and Subaru Forester here for EVERYTHING except recalls (because it feels right to make the dealership do those, and shuttle me to work) and body work (they don't do body work, FYI). They are always friendly, fair, and fast. I've gotten quotes at the dealerships and other mechanics and no one has ever beaten ZB and his team. I've always been impressed with how quickly they can turn around their work as well.

Highly recommend, they're fair and honest. I'll be taking all my cars here while I'm living in the area.

ZB and SigmaTec are THE BEST car shop in Columbus, probably in Ohio, and possibly in the country! I have taken my Subaru to them for a few repairs over the years and now my GF's car, and let me tell you something; you won't find a better shop in Columbus! This guy and his team will do the job right, on time, and with professionalism. Another thing I love about ZB and his team is that they are honest! That is VERY hard to find in this day and age. And their prices are very reasonable for the high quality work they do. They will contact you when they say they will. They will finish the job when they say they will unless something unforeseen comes up, and then they will give you a courtesy call about it. And not only that, but ZB and his team will go to amazing lengths to make sure your car and peace of mind is taken care of. SigmaTec is the definition of excellence. Bar none the BEST car shop I've ever used in my life and can't recommend SigmaTec enough!

This is truly the BEST place in Ohio for repairs! I have never met such an amazing group of mechanics ever! And the owner is on-site and the best mechanic I have ever had the privilege to know. He and his crew are amazingly honest!

They won't try to fix your Flux Compactor!
