Love this place good food an great salsa (the green sauce) there open super late so it's good spot after the party or a bomb fire at the island or the bay. There's a wait some time but it's worth the wait. I won't lie the burritos can vary in size. Some times the cook is happy an hooks it up.

Excellent food, nice cashiers, and they also have all gender bathrooms which is a plus. Five stars

Moved out of San Diego 8 years ago, but I make it a point to always eat here when I visit. This here is the Achiote chicken California burrito, which is my favorite 😋

Great food and service! I’ve lived in north county my whole life, and I always like to try carne asada fries at different Mexican food places.

Santana’s fries are by far one of the best I’ve had! Their fries are topped with beans, cheddar cheese, carne asada, pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream and cotija cheese! Quality toppings, not very greasy. Also, their horchata is delicious!

Definitely recommend this place!

Super delicious, authentic California style Mexican food. A crowd pleaser across-the-board. Excellent guacamole and beans. Their red salsa is delicious. So far my favorite is bean and cheese burritos and bean tostada and also they have very delicious beef tacos, and enchiladas. They have good hours and are very centrally located adjacent to the interstate five in the beach area. I’ll have to try their breakfast burritos next time +1.

This place is the best they have several locations around San Diego. They had one down by the airport but unfortunately they ripped it out and put a McDonald's in. I used to love that location ,I could get a burrito and drive around the corner to the parking lot of the charter boats. They had free parking for an hour and I could eat my burrito and enjoy the bay. Unfortunately they moved that location but the business is great and the food is highly recommended

Amazing food! Fresh tortillas! 24/7

A "forgotten" piece of the Mexican food spots here in San Diego (for me). My usual is the Conga burrito, slightly modified with salsa as they build it (I hate to destroy a burrito by adding salsa myself). Staff is very easy going and make sure you get your order accurately. Love this place.

This is the standard by which all Mexican restaurants in so cal are judged. They have the best California burritos and the best salsas. The roja and green sauce with the onions in it are the best.

Everything on the menu is great, you can't go wrong here. We eat here whenever we're in the area. Especially when we go to mission bay... we get it to go and enjoy it at the park.

Been to many Santana's. This location is constantly the best in regards to food and service. Whoever is on the grill has got an edge over other locations.

This is not your standard issue Mexican joint! Way above and beyond! The salsa is off the charts and the food is always on point! The only thing I would change is the employees are a little to serious! Other than that the place is well worth traveling a tad bit out of the way to get a damn good burrito!

I want to give the food five stars, but service 2!!!
I come here very often, and the service is hit or miss.

The most recent annoyance was the other night, I have ordered my food at the box and was not given a total. When I got to the window she rudely told me my total and walked away before could hand her my change. When she came back, she asked me what my order was again. I had ordered a large coke and she gave me a medium. I had told her I said large and she insisted that was hat she gave me. (As I stated earlier I come here frequently so I know what the large looks like) I’ve also said “please” when i asked for sauce and “thank you” when receiving my food and she just shut the window, and walked away without saying anything. Such poor communication/friendliness and it makes me not want to come back. The only reason why I DO keep coming back is because the food is amazing and it’s my families favorite!

Great Mexican food! The carnitas tacos may not seem like a good price but what you get is fresh tortillas crammed full of ingrediants including guacamole. The value is in the quantity and authentic flavor.

I wish this place was in all truckstops across America. By far my favorite drive through taco shop. La Paz burrito is the best burrito i've ever had. Thank you for making quality food and the best salsa verde. I've been a fan for over 10 years.

The food was great. The flautas with guac n cheese was our favorite. Tasted the kids cheese quesadill and it was very good... they loved it too. Also had the tostada with carne asada and it was very good too. Very good and inexpensive.

I love santanas. It's the best quick Mexican food in my opinion. It's not super greasy like other places and doesn't leave me feeling gross. Highly recommend!

Great food & fast drive through service!

We have always enjoyed the food from the Santana Restaurants. This was no exception. Rolled tacos 🌮, Carne Asada Taquitos, and a Carne Asada California Burrito 🌯. All were muy sabroso!

The only downside to this visit was I didn't verify how much hot sauce I was given. I asked for "a lot" of hot sauce. I was given eight (8) hot sauces for three orders of Beef rolled tacos (that's 12 rolled tacos), one (1) order of Carne Asada Taquitos, and the Carne Asada California Burrito. Needless to say there wasn't enough hot sauce to please everyone. That is a shame because they have very good hot sauce (Verde & Rojo).

So, I recommend counting the hot sauce before you leave the drive up window, or the counter if you go inside.

Otherwise, I recommend you give Santana's a try. Check out their menu, available through Google Maps and Navigation. There are a lot of items.

Genuinely some of the best Carne asada fries I've had living here. If you're in the area, grab a bite here for sure
