Bang!

My 2 best friends and I went on Valentines Day. This place is ALWAYS amazing. The food comes out quick, it's always delicious and fresh and hot, they have such cute drink choices, tons of small plates options to choose from and our waitress that night was amazing and was super attentive. I wish I remembered her name because she was great! But if she remembers serving 3 girls (one with pink short hair) then thank you!!!! ♡

It was my first time here and it was AMAZING!! I love the idea of small plates and sharing them with friends. Every single thing we got was amazing. I will for sure be back. Only thing, I wish they would have atleast forewarned me that refills of sodas aren't free lol ♡

Went during restaurant week and had to wait for more than an hour to get seated. It was so full. The food here is really good, no wonder there's a long wait time. I loved lamb noodles the most and the mushroom bun had a very interesting taste to it. The beef empanadas should also be mentioned since it was a delight with the sauce. I do want to give a shout out to Liam who was our server and was excellent at it.

The BBQ beef empanadas were amazing. Great service and the other vegan plates were delicious - specifically the crispy potato saag aloo. Bang was banging!

This is an awesome spot within walking distance to my old apartment! Beautiful downtown location in what seems to be a remodeled historical home! Very quaint!

Upon entering the area we were greeted with a sign at the front which explained dining instructions, takeout instructions, as well as opening hours! (Pictured)

We of course opted to sit outside on their front porch to look at all the beautiful plants and spring scenery! We were seated, and greeted by a sweet server who told us about the menu and how to work it!

I came into this knowing we would order several small plates to share so here we go!

Caesar Kale Salad- this was very crunchy, fresh, and cool on a warmer day! It was beautifully plated and seasoned nicely. It was a little on the sweeter side for my liking but I enjoyed it anyways! (Love a good starter salad)

Drunken Noodles- These also had a wonderful flavor and were mixed with yummy veggies and mushrooms and a hint of spice amidst the sweet sauce!

House Pickles- I love pickles! Almost everywhere I go if it's on the menu, I'll try them! These are the sweeter type, not dill, tad bit of a spice, and very crunchy and delicious!

Chicken Buns- These are the BEST!!! The buns were so soft and doughy and the chicken was deliciously moist with a wonderful spicy Mayo! I could have eaten about three of those in addition to the other things we ordered! What can I say? I love chicken and this hits all the spots for me!!!

Braised Short-Rib Dumplings- These were to die for and they certainly didn't hold back on the meat for all you meat lovers! They were literally packed with the tenderest rib meat with just the right spices! The miso mayo was a favorite and complimented the dish very well!

Crab Pot Stickers- Came out beautiful as did the rest! The post sticker had a nice crispy shell that wasn't greasy at all. The filling was a nice blended filling with a delicates crab and seafood taste (according to my husband, I'm not the seafood lover). They looked awesome and as was everything, BEAUTIFUL!

Water was brought out complimentary and we ordered two sprites which were served in cans with glasses of ice. I noticed they had many drinks, sake, beer, so I wanted to try out something non-alcoholic (daiquiri, special soda, mock tail) because I no longer drink, but unfortunately the basic sodas and water were my options. This will not hold me back from visiting in the future! We would like to return for dessert, and some other offerings!

Such a wonderful restaurant experience! So many delicious vegetarian dishes and great alcoholic beverages!! We have been to Bang several times over the last few years and the service has always been top notch! Bang has a full bar as well as a special drinks menu. This place is often busy on Friday and Saturday nights which might require waiting a short while for a table but they have expanded their outdoor seating which has made getting a table easier.

It took me way too many years of living in cville to find this gem!! I have never been disappointed with a single dish - just wow. I have to recommend the general tso's cauliflower and the coconut rice, separate or together they are phenomenal!! I order them every time!! Employees have always been so helpful, attentive and fun. Literally couldn't say a single bad thing about this place!

They were short handed and 2 waitresses shared our table. Even though they were busting butt they never rushed us and always took the time they needed and were courteous and informative. They gave excellent recommendations. Almost every food item was new to me. You could tell each was wellll prepared and presented. Every thing was high quality and delicious!

Bang! has been around for years and it never disappoints. It's one of my favorite restaurants here in Charlottesville and if you have never been, you should definitely go. It's small plates, tapas style, always good, and I always have SO much fun. The folks behind these restaurants (I.e., Bizou, Luce, Crushpad, The Space) are incredibly talented in everything that they do. One of my favorite places to grab drinks with a friend or a large group! You have to go!

Bang is incredible pre-pandemic, and they have done better than most in pivoting for pandemic-time operations. One of my favorites in Charlottesville, particularly for the cozy atmosphere [pre-pandemic]! We went there on our first date and we just went again today on our 1 year anniversary.

They have a diversified portfolio of small plates, so you will be able to try flavors from all around the world - more so than your typical tapas place. I recommend their bao buns, particularly the pork belly. They really punch things up on their non-meat plates, so a vegan customer will certainly not be left unsatisfied. The “sin city” is their signature cocktail and it is an amazing combination of sweet and sour and fruity - a tartness that ruefully masks any hint of the alcoholic content. We will be going back to complete the remainder of the menu, there really wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Portions: we had 6 buns and 2 other small plates and we probably had room for another 1-2 small plates.

My sister and I go to Charlottesville to go out for dinner. We go to this place Bang, food was amazing. I had chicken and sweet potatoes yum yum. Very interesting restaurant. The food was amazing 😋 waitresses were amazing too. Pricy but well worth that flavor. I had a mouth explosion

Had a great time. Food was done really well. I think they could get a Michelin star for the kale tortellini for sure. Yall really brown sugared the brown butter for that?
Close your eyes when you try that please. Obviously great cocktails. Charlottesville has a gem

Excellent food & tapas. Cauliflower in garlic sauce was super. Shrimp in yum yum sauce was awesome. Great Asian fusion food. Sitting outside in pleasant weather was a plus.
Ambiance & service was great.

Really cute atmosphere and great vegetarian options. We loved the chickpea spring rolls, mushroom drunken noodles, and crispy eggplant. Cocktails were also really unique and delicious

Bang! Is a real find. They serve small Asian fusion plates. My wife snd I had 6 or so and all were wonderful. Lindsy, our bartender is just awesome in every way.
We can't wait to return.

They have small plates and it is nice to try several things and share them with someone. The pulled pork bun and fried cauliflower were my favorite dishes. They have inside seating plus outside. We enjoyed the outside area, it was open but covered. They had a lot of interesting mixed drinks and were very good.

Great place for a casual business dinner. Lots of small plates ordered for the table creates a nice atmosphere.

Creative dishes, the tortellini in particular was incredible! The drinks are just what they describe. Wonderful place for a date :)

Starvin' Marvin coming into this place having waited an hour... We ordered most of the menu. 'Twas impressed across the board.

Delicious, beautiful, interesting Asian inspired tapas. The portions are generous.( 2/person was plenty of food). Easy for vegetarians to have a great meal here. Lots of good cocktails too.
