Hyatt Place Virginia Beach Town Center

I stayed here on the 14th and I have to say it's one of the best experiences I've had at a hotel. Justin had helped us check in and made everything quite easy. And later he served us drinks at the bar and made us laugh a few times. When we had to check out, Rocky had helped us push our check out time an hour. Also rooms were incredibly clean, and breakfast was good.

The room was clean when we checked in they did not service room during stay, but that's OK with me. Got plenty of towels and took the trash out myself. Really comfy bed and pillows. Quiet place. Staff helpful and personable.

Hyatt Place Town Center was a great stay for our son’s soccer tournament! The night auditors, Savanna & Malinda, were so accommodating and enjoyable to work with. They were amazing! Kudos to them. Ivy was also a pleasure. Thank you for a great memorable stay!

The absolute best hotel experience we've ever had.
We were in Virginia Beach visiting our son who is stationed here in the Navy. The room was spacious, with a King bed and couch area. There was a mini fridge. Coffee supplies, Super stylish Ice bucket and real drinking glasses. Everything seemed brand new. The shower water pressure was off the charts. Bath linens were plentiful.
Something that really stood out was how safe this place felt. This hotel was in it's own parkinglot. Not shared with anything else. There were surveillance cameras in the parking lot which made us feel secure in leaving a boatload of wrapped gifts in our back seat the first day. You couldn't go up in the elevators unless you used your room key. You couldn't access the indoor pool or gym without your room key. And at night, arriving after a certain time, we couldn't get in the building without our room key.
The breakfast every morning was amazing. Fresh food and plenty of it.
Thank you to the staff for being so friendly and professional. We only got the name of one employee, Tobi, he was remarkable.

We recently traveled to Virginia Beach and chose to stay here due to proximity to restaurants. This location did not disappoint. There are plenty of walkable restaurants and stores within 5-10 minutes walk. The hotel itself was very clean and quiet. The staff were incredible helpful and went out of their way to make our stay excellent. Parking was free and easy to find, and the lot was well lit and felt safe.
The only thing that didn’t quite reach 5 stars was the breakfast. It was a pretty typical hotel breakfast assortment. The eggs were bland and waffles/pancakes were dry. But at the end of the day, my expectations for a hotel breakfast are generally pretty low, so I did not deduct a star for this.

Nice hotel with great amenities such as a full service bar, restaurant, indoor pool, etc. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Would have been nice to have a microwave in the room though. That was honestly the only thing lacking in my opinion. Staff was exceptionally helpful and courteous. Would stay here again.

Nice and clean hotel. Good selection of breakfast. Wheelchair accessible. Good service. Only complaint is about indoor pool. Its literarily a kiddie pool. 12 feet in length and 3 ft deep.

It was a great place to stay. The only thing was they never cleaned our room or put fresh clean towels. The front desk service was amazing. Their breakfast was amazing. Housekeeping really was bad. We never got any service. we stayed there for 4 days and never got any housekeeping service

I would like to say this place was really awesome!! The staff, (Ivy was awesome!!!) Tae’lor was sweet too. The breakfast was good with a nice variety. I just wish they had turkey sausages for us non pork eaters. Loved that they had a Starbucks inside along with a pool and gym. The beds were super comfy.

This Hyatt Place is fairly new (3-4yrs old). It is very convenient as you do short drive to Town Center or walk 10-15 minutes. You can enjoy all kind of restaurants nearby. It is about 20-25 minutes drive to Ocean Front.

Our family had King Bed Suite and it was very comfortable with 2 kids. The suite has ton of space. However, you will hear all the siren from fire truck/ambulance/police car/etc. Independence Blvd is right behind this room.

The continental breakfast was very good, plenty of options.

Overall, our family was very please during this visit.

Excellent location. I checked out of a nearby hotel due to safety and odor concerns. I booked here instead as there were vacancies the same night. Building is very clean, room was comfortable and quiet. Gym was clean. This will be my hotel of choice upon return to the VA Beach area!

After reviewing many hotels in the area prior to booking this hotel, I am glad I chose to stay at Hyatt Place at the Virginia Beach Town Center (VBTC) for my recent vacation.

First, Hyatt Place VBTC is minutes away from the freeway and a short drive to the Norfolk Naval Base, Oceanfront, the beach, and in short proximity to retail shops like Target, Kohl’s and REI, and restaurants like Tupelo Honey Cafe, Yard House, the Cheesecake Factory, Shake Shack, Legal Seafoods (hello, Boston!), among many others.

Second, the hotel property sits alone so there aren’t any other business traffic other than people going in and out of the hotel parking lot. I felt safe coming in and out of the hotel, and leaving my rental SUV outside. Parking is free here and there’s plenty of parking. It is also very well-lit - no dark and creepy parking spots.

Third, I enjoyed the service during our week stay. There was free breakfast every morning from 6:30am-9:30am on the weekdays and 7am-10am on the weekends. After those hours, they also have The Placery, where you can purchase small bites and dine without having to leave the hotel. And always available 24/7 is a small drink and snack section where you can make purchases.

Fourth, the staff is very friendly - from the front desk, to the people making breakfast, to housekeeping, etc. Every employee we interacted with was a pleasure. I think there was only one hiccup where we tried to dine at The Placery around 6pm and was told by an employee that there was only 1 fryer to make appetizers and that it would be a 2-hour wait! Poor young man, he was so distressed and we reassured him as we would just dine elsewhere. We ended up just driving down the street to YardHouse - where I spent way more than I was hoping to. Yikes!

Fifth, the hotel was clean. From the exterior, walking into the lobby, up the elevators to our room, and to our hotel room itself - I felt good walking around and taking my showers. It didn’t have that icky feeling that I get at some hotels. The shower door was glass (not a curtain - thank goodness), and the shower head had the right pressure strength. And they had shower gel, shampoo and conditioner available and refilled. These products were attached to the shower, which made it so convenient to shower. The product smelled really good and, somehow, I love how the water in VA felt on my skin and hair - sorry, CA! (Haha) Also, the hotel smelled good every time we walked in - I loved that!

Sixth, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were perfectly firm and just the right size. I didn’t have to ask for any extras. We stayed in a 2 Queen Bed with Sofa and it was very spacious. It was on the 6th floor (it only goes up 6 floors). There was only one night where I think I heard some kids (or adults) screaming that was a bit disturbing. Other than that, I couldn’t hear anything from neighboring guests.

Seventh, the mini fridge held the bottled waters we purchased for the week so we always had cold drinks ready whenever we needed to hydrate.

Overall, we did pay a pretty penny to stay at Hyatt Place VBTC- but it was all worth the stay. I felt safe, I had great sleep, the hotel was clean (yay for no bed bugs), and we were minutes away from all the places we needed to be.

I would absolutely stay here again if I were to travel to Virginia Beach again, and I feel 100% confident recommending Hyatt Place VBTC for anyone willing to pay for comfort, safety, and great service.

This hotel is really a hidden gem.. I was looking all over for NON oceanfront hotels in Virginia Beach, and this is definitely a great one. (not everyone comes to go to the beach 🙄🙄 )

It has everything you need. Super comfortable beds, super spacious rooms, nice bathrooms, and it feels safe!!! It's so calm and quiet on the room floors and people up front at the desk are kind! The city view of town center on the top floor is GORGEOUS!!! I loved the stay so much!!! I wish it was a little cheaper! I would definitely make this my go to hotel here in VB if it was a little cheaper. Stay here for two three days and drive around a bit. You'll get to know your way around pretty easily. There should always be a parking spot available for you and it's free!

My only complaint was that one of the towels smelled of Marijuana and looked to have a stain.. otherwise, the whole room and everything else was spotless and absolutely wonderful! An unforgettable experience for sure. In conclusion, this is a top notch hotel! I enjoyed myself!! Virginia Beach, VA is such a beautiful city. Thanks for helping us have a good first impression Hyatt!

6/5 despite the single issue.

I absolutely love the customer service at this hotel. I was here 8/24-28 for my daughter wedding(The Archie's) nearby. My son took ill the day before the wedding. The hyatt place staff was sensitive to my situation. My son missed the wedding because he was sick. Because of his illness we were forced to stay an additional day. He was in no shape to fly back to Illinois.
The receptionist Ivy and the other girls comforted me in my time of distress. I am so appreciative how the Hyatt Place team accommodated us even with late check out on our travel day back home.
Special shout out to the cooks. I don't know if I enjoyed breakfast because it was included or what however it was good.
Hyatt Place, tho the devil tried to strike, you were there on our side to fight back with us.

Room service was not good at all. The room was cleaned only 1 time from our 5 day stay. And we had called and gone to the front desk to make them aware of this. And still we only got the go around. But the best thing about our stay at this hotel was the breakfast and Luis they man that is in charge of the breakfast. He was always kind and helpful. Very hard working guy. Thank you Luis for a wonderful breakfast every morning.

Ivy with a Y was the most attentive and helpful front desk I have met. She knew the area, and the rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was also top notch

My annual Lawson Family Reunion was hosted here 7/27-730. I conversed with Brooke with the bookings of the rooms and updated list for months leading up to our event. Brooke was AMAZING! The hotel was perfect, down to the meet and greet room, the bar, the rooms, breakfast and patio space. My family coming from different states are mostly hard to please but EVERYONE was satisfied with no complaints. The location is great accessible to a variety of restaurants, shopping and Wegmans (where I fell in love we don’t have one in NC). If I could give ten stars I would!!! Thank you again Brooke!!

I was recently in the lobby for a brief moment while noticing the aesthetics of the hotel which was very pleasing and quiet enough to go over something’s with my business partner while in the establishment there was a lovely employee by the name Sasha she was amazing above and beyond with the up most customer service id recommend this location of stay or even time to decompress from the noise a bit this was a lovely visit and I will be back!!

The room were clean I checked for stains and bedbugs there were none. I wiped everything wearing gloves using bleach wipes. Very close to multiple shopping centers. 10-15 minutes from Virginia Beach Broadwalk along with walkable streets and bus routes.

Room very very large...it was 750 Sq. Ft...
Beautiful view...around everything...just an all around super clean...super tidy...
My FAV place to stay when I visit with Family/Friends....
I know it depends on *which* room you request..but the one that is 750 sq.ft ...that space is everything!!! 👌🏽⚘👌🏽
