I have been taking my dog to this park for years. This is a nice park. Kind of hidden away at the oceanfront so it is rarely overcrowded. Lots of dog walkers and joggers here. Very family friendly.

There was one particular time I was wandering around Virginia Beach with my dogs - no place to go and no way to get there. Just chillin out shootin' the breeze, yanno? Well I stumbled upon this little park here, and just let me tell you, it was super quaint. They've got fields for the playing of ball. They've got a trail for the walking of walks. They've got a playground for the playing of...playground type activities? Just all around a very tranquil.

I don't remember coming here but apparently I did because I was prompted to review it. It's near the beach so it has that going for it. There is also a garden, one would assume, and that's great for bees. Plus it's a park, and who doesn't love a good park. Am I right? A garden park by the beach, pretty neat.

We like to visit this park for a lot of reasons- there is a large field with a baseball and softball field on opposite ends and a path around it perfect for walking, jogging, pushing a stroller, riding bikes, and for dog walking. (The fields belong to a local public school and there is also a large concession building that has always been closed during our visits over the weekend and during the summer.) The field is great for playing football, field hockey, lacrosse, and soccer. Over the years we have always only seen people walk their dog(s) on a leash. We also have never seen dog poop left in the field and appreciate dog owners cleaning up after their dog(s). The path continues to a sidewalk and then leads through the parking lot back to the entrance/road or you can follow the path over the bridge towards 30th Street and Laskin Road. The playground is big and has a lot of age appropriate sections and swings. The landscape is beautiful and there are plenty of shaded areas and there are shaded parking spots as well.

When visiting with little kids we recommend bringing their small bikes, tricycles, scooters and helmets for riding on the path. Through the parking lot there is a large cul-da-sac circle that is a good spot for closely watching your kids ride in the circle. We like to bring a picnic/cooler packed and a blanket. If your kids enjoy going on nature walks and finding different rocks, plants, trees and tree sticks, insects, and birds this is a great garden and park for that!

Same usual city rules for opening and closing.

Never knew this park was near the beach. An nice hidden spot but I'm sure more of the locals that live down there know about it. An nice walk around plus multiple ways to walk down by the water that is teeming with animal life too.

Great park with jogging track. Plenty of room to run your dog. Some walking trails. When I was in jr high it was an abandoned sewer plant. Completely renovated YEARS AGO!

I really shouldn't post about this park. Clearly a local hidden gem. Lived in VB for 6 months before I found out about it. The fields get a little soggy after a heavy rain but it is truly a fantastic place.

This is a small city park that is mostly athletic fields and a few small trails. The trails have been recently redone to make them smoother and easier. There is also one pokemon gym and one poke stop in the park.
