Chick's Oyster Bar

We enjoyed a nice dinner with a decent view of the inlet. The full order of oysters was delicious. My date ordered a half dozen Rockefeller and they weren't nearly as good. I ordered the Costa Rican soft tacos and they were really good and very filling. I almost added another taco for 7 dollars but I'm glad that I didn't.

The drinks and beers were pretty good and the service left nothing to complain about. I would recommend if you're specifically looking for raw oysters.

Parking is valet only, but there's no charge.

Love chicks, especially when I’m boating great place to swing by always a great vibe. and the servers are always amazing just as the atmosphere.

The view of the water with the boats passing by was lovely. I loved the pleasant and friendly service. It felt as if I was having lunch on the water. The drinks are delicious and well balanced, not too strong.

I went here for a group social and am glad to have found the place. The food is exceptional, real local "back bay" style seafood that places like Red Lobster just try to copy. Everyone seemed really pleased with their food, and I can verify that the crab cakes were among the best I've ever had. I didn't even think to take a picture till I'd eaten most of my food.
The waitresses were friendly, capable, and handled our large party well. And their complementary valet parking is a great solution to a small-lot problem.

EXCEPTIONAL! It has high reviews for a reason!!! I wanted food with a view and it did not disappoint! They have weekend specials in the bar area but only a couple of dollars off (2/3$). Staff is extremely friendly. Boats can just pull in which lets you know their clientele…. But the views and food are spectacular. PLEASE GET THE CALAMARI W/ BANANA PEPPERS. I ate the whole plate and the portions are huge. Prices are actually not that bad either for seafood in this particular area and that’s probably because you have to tip for the ‘’complementary” valet parking. 10/10 recommend and will be back again.

Great seafood! Great drinks! Great atmosphere! It's worth the visit. The fish is very fresh and prepared the way you like it. Love the Orange Crushes. Very popular spot at the beach. May take a little time to get parking, but all parking is valet. Nice service. Love the waterside seating.

We arrived at this deceivingly large venue via boat. Mooring was a pleasant experience as Chick employs mooring assistants to ensure an easy waterside dock and exit. The atmosphere is an expectedly oceanic theme with indoor/outdoor seating via choice; our party of four elected to sit waterside outdoors. The picnic table seating replaces the booth style, but there are plenty of chair-style tables. The menu(pics) has many choices, including “seafooding” common foods, e.g., fish taco and crab cake sandwich. Oysters, burgers, and tacos were our choices, and they didn’t disappoint. All food came quickly and fresh; the table sounds were a lot of mmmms and wows!, primarily upon the arrival of the desserts - brownie sunday and chocolate chip cookie pie al a mode (pics). Party of four with non-alcohol drinks, appetizers and tip ran approximately $150. Overall, plenty of food choices for the health-conscious or the taste bud party types and a pleasantly calm atmosphere on the water.

the fried flounder platter with 2 hush puppies and 2 sides I got fries with red beans and rice my hush puppies was cold and my flounder didn't have no seasoning I used salt pepper and hot sauce on my flounder
my wife had the shrimp burrito bowl she said it was delicious hot and awesome dish that she'll order it again
we had the hit crab dip with pita bread pieces for our appetizer and the came out nice and hot and it was very delicious and tasteful
I'll go back and try another dish or two
my wife also had a mango crush drink it wasn't strong at all more like a fruit juice drink
I had a coors lite
overall I was satisfied but I'll make changes the next time
the service was outstanding Alexa did an awesome job
the atmosphere was terrific ate outside on deck on the water watching the boats ride by

This is one of my favorite places to eat in the area. I love the atmosphere, the expansion is great. Everything on the menu is great except the cheesecake. Service is always top notch. Full bar. Fun with a group. Relaxed.

This place is incredible! Mahi tacos were off the chart. Beer is good and cold. The service is amazing and the ambience is fantastic. Right on the water.

Did I mention complimentary valet parking? Yep.

If you are in VB you have to try Chicks. I will definitely be back the next time I am in VB.

Chick's is a laid-back hangout with a rustic clam shack vibe & waterside deck serving good old seafood & drinks. I think since 1998, they have been serving up delicious seafood. So much bigger with all the varied seating options and decks! The shrimp are seasoned perfectly as are the crab legs. If you want a beach crush, Chick's has many flavor options. We drove to Virginia Beach specifically to check this place out! The service was amazing! Kristen was our wonderful waitress. The crab dip, jumpo fried shrimp, and hush puppies were good. I was not impressed with the crab legs. They seemed like they might have been overcooked. I definitely would recommend this place if you're in the area.

Loved, loved, LOVED this place. Totally my vibe. Low key, and right on the water. LOTS of indoor and outdoor seating on the waterfront. Three different buildings connected together. Fun watching the boats dock, order, and be served right in their slip. My new fav in VA Beach!

A casual seafood restaurant on the border of the water. I like the oyster choice, they were tasty. Also, the Rockfish grilled was tasty. Service was quick and nice. Recommended.

This seafood restaurant was charming! The staff was friendly, the service was fast and it has a lovely ocean view. Reasonably priced & delicious!

It's always a great time here. Valet parking is super convenient. There are ATMs inside just in case. Multiple bars with in. Plenty of seating. Cool merchandise for purchase. The food and drinks are delicious and plentiful. Lots to choose from. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly.

Chicks is a beautiful sassy little Virginia Beach eatery. Location right on the water where you can watch people and boats coming in and out and even the fighters jets from overhead. Their menu is perfect and will not disappoint. Loved it!!!

Beautiful, sunny day, live music, fresh seafood, couple of refreshing, orange crushes, sitting right on the Docks watching the boats, is not a bad way to end a great weekend. This restaurant is 1 of my new favorite spots.
