I wanted to take a moment to thank our outstanding VA Beach 4 th precinct officers who were kind, respectful & caring on 6/13 when they were called to check on a friend who did not show up for work & was not answering her phone. I was her emergency contact & was notified by the police they were at the house. After being scared to death about what we were going to find inside her home with her dogs, Officer Gulley was wonderful in handling me going into the house to get her dogs settled. Thank God my friend was on the floor for days with a broken hip. they were able to get her to the hospital & taken care of with all the kindness & compassion you could have remecer asked for. Officer Gulley & Pytash are hero’s in my mind & I will be forever grateful for the job they do every day. Thank you again to these fine young men & for taking care of us every day.

Thank you so much to the awesome men and women who came out and helped me find my 4 year old the other night when he went missing and I was out of my mind with worry! I'm truly appreciative and will be telling him about this night for the rest of his life!

So thankful for the VBPD helping me get my stolen guitar back. My experience with the officers and detectives I interacted with was very positive. They kept me informed all along the way. Knowing we have such caring and thorough law enforcement makes me proud to be a Virginia Beach citizen.

Officers have been very helpful and responsive whenever I have needed or contacted them. Most bad reviews are from people that have been arrested or dont understand the job of the police- except for what they read online. If you want to know what goes on in your zone- join the VB Scanner Members on FB, You will learn a lot! If your a thug or convict- need not apply. If your a decent citizen that is concerned for their safety or are interested in crime in VB- check it out. You will be shocked and learn a new appreciation for all of our first responders. We just had a citizen shot yesterday at his home which may have been a home invasion, he will survive but the two black males that attacked him at his home have not been located yet. Hoping to hear more soon. The 300lb black male didn't run far I don't think. Get in the know!

If you look at the lower rated reviews, you will notice people dont understand what the police actually do. A generic call with no injuries or danger will get a slower response time because real crime is out there. Also, referring to someone as a "brother" doesn't always mean "Black". I believe the term is used in the bible numerous times, for those that care about others. Stop with the hate, things can improve. The police are trying to help you, Bad people go to jail, make better decisions.

I recently had my wallet returned to me at my home(which I left at 711) I know it doesn't sound very important considering but the two officers who came to my home (didnt get there names) saved the day before I even figured out I left it. I'm truly greatful

i grew in Cleveland ohio a city with tremendous distrust for the police department i can say after moving to this city my view of the people who look after our well being has changed any interaction with the police has been good they treat people like people and give individuals respect when there shown the same

I called to see if an officer could assist me with picking up my child and a Lady named Teresa Coggins said she doesn’t know because she is not a officer so I asked if she could transfer me to someone who could help and she Hung up on me!!! I called back to ask her name and she hung up on me again!!! I had to call third pr to get her name and was helped by them. Extremely unprofessional ! Please pull phone records of this conversation !! 1:26 pm

I needed a police escort that would have only taken less than 10 minutes. Something that I was told to do prior to this, by an officer, handling the incident that happened at my home a week prior. Yet the lady didn't take me seriously, and told me "we don't have the manpower to give you an escort". On a Sunday evening??? Really??? Yeah ok, I bet if I lived in the Great Neck area, and was a blue eyed blonde, it'll be a different story, HUH. SMH

If I could give a lesser rating I most definitely would. There has been a ongoing problem in the Arrowhead neighborhood in which NOTHING is being done about it. When you do call police they always have some excuse why they can't do something.

Thanks for nothing! Why publish this number if it’s your emergency number? If people are that dumb to not know to call 911 then there is no help for them anyway. Especially, if they took the time to google your precinct. You are an embarrassment!
