Powell's Barber Shop

Needing a spur of the moment haircut, I stopped in today at Powell's. Honestly, I could not be more pleased with the cut I received from Josh (and I am very particular about my haircuts). He is meticulous, yet conversational with an incredible personality. I highly recommend him!

Coming here was like getting a haircut from a family friend. Very relaxed and laid back feeling. Great price and I got exactly what I was looking for!

Josh is the kind of barber you can immediately trust. Prices are more than fair, the cut was perfect, and experience is relaxed. I left very impressed and will make Powell’s my go to shop.

First visit to Powell's Barber Shop. Small and comfy, nothing pretentious about the place. Exactly what a barber shop should be - a place a get a great haircut.

Josh, the barber and owner is down to earth and easy to talk with. Again, it is what a barber shop is about - a place to relax and enjoy the conversations.

Josh asked what type of haircut I wanted and he professionally executed what I described. Plus, he shaved the back of my neck and used a hot towel to soothe the area.

I have been to one other shop and it was too noisy, waited too long and the haircuts were inconsistent at best.

I will be going back to Powell's from here on.

I highly recommend Powell's to anyone who is looking for a great traditional barber.

First time - Simply, outstanding! Powell’s Barber Shop brings new life to the “old craft” of barbering. A place where you can get a quality cut/ fade, straight-razor neck shave and a hot towel to brush off cut hair. Josh is a true barber/ craftsman. Will keep going back!

Not from around here. From Connecticut visiting . And I’m very particular about my haircut . Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to get a haircut before coming out here for the week. After reading reviews for many different shops , I honestly couldn’t tell you how I landed on Josh. But I felt compelled to write a review because if someone is traveling through and needs someone who is a professional and gives an amazing haircut with a razor shave . Great conversationalist , and just an all around good vibe . I don’t write reviews , but I think this will be appreciated by someone who was in my spot and didn’t know where to go. And if you are a local, you guys got a Gem.

Very professional barber. This was my second time here so wanted to make sure my first good experience wasn’t a fluke. Josh does excellent work and maintains a great shop. My appointment made sure I was in and out in good time, I didn’t feel rushed or just another customer with hair. 5 stars for sure.

Perfect every time. Josh is always professional, thorough, and while he takes his time, he’s always quick. He’s a good conversationalist as well so it’s not awkward to sit the whole time. Everything is clean and he’s certified in some cleaning thing he told me about but I don’t remember.

I'm new to the area and had a few bad experiences trying to find someone who really knows how to trim up a medium length beard. After reading some reviews and booking the appointment online through their website, I walked in and went right into the chair with no waiting.

Great haircut. Old school with straight razor and of course, hot lather on back of neck. I recommend paying $25.
