This little hidden gem is a go-to spot for the locals. With boat ramps, a beach, and nice picnic facilities, this scenic waterfront park has much to offer. A nice place to spend a few hours, or for a day trip.

A good little beach heading out to Gulf. Lots of boat traffic but a designated swimming area. Does have a current. Relaxed place, nice size park. Good for everyone and sunsets are nice.

Joined my community in solidarity to peacefully protest a commercial venture on community land. Felt good to make noise and gather with like minded neighbors who value the serenity of our park for its wildlife and natural beauty.
Anclote River Park is a local treasure, nestled at the opening of the Anclote River to the Gulf of Mexico. For over twenty years, since I moved to the area, this park has often been a peaceful retreat allowing quiet time in nature. Whenever time allows we go listen to the birds, dip my toes in the sand and watch the colorful sunset. An Indian Mound nearby makes me ponder those who have sat in this spot before me, for centuries.
EXCERPT from Suncoast News article 4/18/23 ~Over the years, there were several archaeological examinations done in the area of the park. One done in 1970 by the Suncoast Archaeology Society describes “a six-foot-high temple mound, a midden and a burial mound 75 feet in diameter and 7 feet tall.”~

It is awe inspiring, and being encroached upon by developers that want to turn the county park into a 22,000 square feet restaunt with indoor/outdoor seating, floating docks, a water sports concession and space for live entertainment monstrosity.

There are plenty of places that offer all that in the area, our community parks aren't for this purpose. The proposed plan will turn our natural space into another parking lot zoo based on commercialism. Does not belong edging the Indian mound, the Spanish well and the Eagles Nest that have long called this special place home. We, the community of Anclote DO NOT want this. This is our park not your Entertainment venue.

This is a very nice, dog friendly, county park on the Anclote River. We stopped to catch a sunset. We were here on a weekday evening, and it really wasn't too crowded.

If you've got a boat, know someone you can hitch a ride with, or can get to Anclote Park (preferably on the water) by any means, I say go for it!

It was clean and the sand and sun were fantastic! If you're looking to get outdoors and spend time away while still being near everything, this is a great place to do it.

Nice little park and beach. Beach could use a little cleaning, but it is nice. There is a boat ramp and a playground for kids. There is a picnic area that is covered so you can get some shade. And the tables are under trees so that is nice. Great place for some family fun. Lots of parking and bathrooms are also available for the public. I will be coming back.

This is such a beautiful park! It has the perfect sized beach for families and groups of friends to go swimming. There is even a lifeguard. You can launch all kinds of vessels, and explore the river on kayaks or jet skis. Preserve this park at all costs!

Very nice small cozy beach. Lots of parking under trees or in the open. Lots of picnic tables and room to throw or kick a ball or just relax. The sand is gorgeous and clean. Lots of pine and oak trees. Small and medium boats go by every few minutes not far from the shore. I highly recommend for those with small children or if you want a quieter, more peaceful place rather than the larger, more crowded beaches. $5 to park. No pets.

This is a nice park for boat launching, picnics, sitting on a nice beach and watching the birds. There is ample parking. The park a great place to take a hike or bike ride along the paved trail.

I love to go there in the evening to just relax and watch the sunset. Is never crowded especially Monday thru Friday, the weekend is different story but still is not crowded like the Beaches closer to the park. U can relax ,read a book, do a picnic, BBQ,etc. Security is a Plus cause rangers and county police are always checking the park out. I recommend it to anyone who loves nature.
