Fun place to see and walk around. Some may call a tourist trap but we enjoyed all the little shops and restaurants. They have boat rides. We really liked that the whole area is pet friendly. We got a few souvenirs really cheap.

Took my mom on the Odyssey dolphin tour to Anclote Key State Perserve to look for shells and enjoy the beach. We found lots of shells and enjoyed the island. This trip was around $25 and worth it. They have drinks for sale on the pontoon boat. The tour guide did a great job explaining the area. We even saw one of the divers looking for sponges.

This is a great place to spend the day and experience a different vibe and culture. There are authentic Greek restaurants and bakers scattered throughout, all sorts of shops, boat rides, and hand rolled cigars. We will definitely return on our next visit to the Tampa area.

Take a step into Greek culture in this quaint Greek Town of tarpon Springs. Friendly people Amazing Fresh Foods and so much history. This def is a slice of Greece right here so authentic makes you feel like you’re really there. Wide variety of Greek foods gyros, spanakopita and let’s not forget their amazing fresh baked breads and desserts. Shopping here is great too from fresh sponges and so fresh they even still smell like the ocean lots of unique finds here. They even offer a boat ride out to where they harvest the sponges. Another amazing thing is if you’re a movie buff like me they filmed some scenes of the movie Dolphin Tale here. Definitely a must see. Happy Exploring!!

Great place to walk around with your family and get Greek food and gifts. I took a relative visiting from Canada, and Tarpon Springs was holding their first Friday event a few blocks from the Sponge Docks.
A great two for one experience that day.

What a wonderful find! We really appreciated and enjoyed this little village. Steeped in culture and janky little shops. Beautiful Greek history and community. A gem of a place. Saw the beetle and had to take a pic. Peace and enjoy

We went in mid-January (so off season) but thoroughly enjoyed the scenery without the crowds. You can feel the influence of Greece in all of the stores and restaurants aligning the docks. People were super friendly and our meal and service at Hella's was top notch. Recommend stopping in just for the experience if you're in that area of central Florida.

It was absolutely wonderful to be as close to a Greek fishing village as I could get without flying to Greece!
I love it.
Very peaceful, very friendly, great food and drinks, and already calling me to come back. 🇬🇷

We had a really good time on this dolphin 🐬 boat ride. We saw the dolphins a number of times. We also went to a shelling island for 30 minutes. Definitely worth the price. Enjoyed the 90 minutes!

My wife and I went to the art festival down here a lot of amazing things. Most of the shops before the art tents all had the same products. The docks would be fun even without the art.

Saw my Aunt for the first time in 10 years @ the Sponge docks. I love it there. The owners of the shops were so nice and they were informative on their products in their neatly organized shops. Such a GREAT Experience as always. Get the Cheesecake at Hellas!!!

It's a place to unwind, to feel the Greek culture. To eat what you don't every day! It doesn't matter if it 's raining or is a bright shiny day it'll connect you with Greece and you'll want to buy those airplane tickets to get to the real thing. It's great when there's not too many people but it's fantastic when there are festivities and you can participate in Greek dance or hear some music. You'll love to grab a drink and just walk around. Buy fresh Cuban cigars, have a very delicious dessert fresh made every day. There are lovely shops of Al kinds of souvenirs. It's a place for the whole family and also for that romantic hours you're so much ready for. Either for a planned visit or not it's worth every minute your day. Have fun!

Authentic sea sponges and plenty of Greek infused culture line the street adjacent to the docks. This place is historic in nature and offers plenty of shops and cafes to keep you entertained. This is a great place for a day trip.

We went to Hippifest last week and had a blast. Parking could be a little hecktick so try to get there early otherwise you will have to pay about $ 10.00 for a close parking space. There was such a variety of food vendors along the street and many Greek restaurants open to eat plus beer & liquor for sale. There were hippie themed vendors with jewelry and clothing and various miscellaneous items for sale. There were many stores open along the road for tourist items like t-shirts, ocean sponges & nick naks to take back home too. They had live music bands playing 50's and 60's to listen & dance to. They had a costume contest, hula hoop activities and best 60's vehicle contest as well. The weather held out which was a plus that day. You could also take boat/ferry tours while there at a very reasonable price. The people & atmosphere was just fantastic. So much to see like historic sites nearby if you were looking for interesting places to visit as well. We will be back to check those out next time.

I absolutely love going here. I've lived here for 11 years and I finally went thru have so many different unique items and the history is great too. Although all parking is pay to park if you park in a lot owned by a shop you can usually get free parking with a purchase. The shop owners are mostly friendly and welcoming. Lots of Greek history here as well. Beautiful sites too.

Always a fun place to visit, even on a cool drizzly day. Wandering from one shop to another, trying not to break the budget, and of course the food! Always have to stop for a late lunch or early supper! The hardest part is the abundance of options!
They even decorated the dock pilings for Christmas! 😊
