Tarantini Italian Restaurant

My favorite Italian restaurant to go to anytime for any occasion or just for no reason! I enjoy the food, the music and the atmosphere. Great customer service from the staff.

We had an absolutely amazing dinner tonight. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and everything was cooked to perfection. We ordered Calamari for the app. The marinara sauce was awesome with it. The table bread was phenomenal. The Veal Marsala was absolutely the best, very tender! The Fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp was also great! We loved the atmosphere and all the beautiful art and textures in the room. I highly recommend this restaurant for Italian Fare and they also have a great wine selection. Don't miss this gem!

This restaurant was phenomenal. The pasta had a delicious flavor to it that felt balanced and light on your stomach. Paired with the chicken that retained a magnificent amount of moisture, the pasta shined. Raising the chicken's flavor as a result. The chicken had light seasoning on it as well, allowing the pasta to carry the flavor to where it needed to be.

The servers were great from the start. Initially they introduced themselves and proceeded to give us a list of meals that we might like. While also giving us options to select from. We didn't have any wine, this time. But when some of my family members asked for lemonade, he made them quickly for us even though it seemed like it wasn't on the menu. So, rather than saying no they don't make that, he managed to provide us with what we needed. A wonderful experience.

Both servers, Dane and Luke, were very kind, helpful, and present. Dane talked with us occasionally throughout our meal in a pleasant and unobtrusive way. He was funny about the way he'd reply and, when we were all done with our meal, held a nice conversation with us. He was even nice enough to take a picture for us. My entire family had nothing but good things to say about the server and the chef.

The atmosphere was also very elegant. There is a glass door that allows air inside while also still having the AC running indoors to keep a nice balance of cool air and an open feeling. It would have been a great view for a sunset gathering. The decor was also great. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

Mothers Day dining is sometimes chaotic. But this was perfect. Whew! We arrived & there was a couple of parties ahead of us. (Definitely reservations needed). We were given 2 options of seating - we went with the quieter table. Our waitress was great; attentive & friendly. Our mixed Drinks were pretty perfect. Food was delicious and again generous portions. We didn’t feel rushed and we had a wonderful stress-free dinner.

Had a date night with my wife. Was our first time and our reservation was at 5, right when they opened. Food was good, servers were nice and pleasant. Not sure if it was just an off night but every few minutes someone was adjusting the light brightness up and down. One time our waiter also commented. Was distracting and a little annoying but not the end of the world.

Had an awesome dinner for my birthday here!! The food was so good (pasta special was 1000/10, calamari and bread were also amazing) and the service was awesome too. I even got a free birthday dessert and one of the servers sang me happy birthday!

Just was looking for an Italian restaurant whilst visiting chapel Hill. Boy did we luck out with our choice. Food was outstanding , waiter was even better. Yes if you can get Daine, get him. And ask him about the history of the Napoleonic wars, I mean if you want, you don't have to because the young man will sing happy birthday or just impress you with his polite surface. Bring your appetite because you will want one of their delicious desserts.

You know when your friend (who is Italian and from L.A.) loves this food, it's got to be good. I've been going there for years and they never disappoint. And while I try to stay away from pasta and sugar, this was a great splurge.

Great cocktails, wine selection, appetizers and entrees. The desserts don't miss, either! A great local restaurant with an upscale atmosphere.

The best Italian style restaurant. Super high quality and service. I'm now a regular at this place and will continue to be because it is perfectly balanced. All the plates are crafted with care and dedication, you can really tell there's passion behind what these folks do, and the best part is that it is not pricey at all! Go. Try it for yourself and let me know. You will not regret it.

We've been to Tarantini 5-6 times. Best Italian restaurant in the Triable area....by far! Excellent veal, seafood. Good service, nice ambiance. We'll certainly continue to enjoy Tarantini

We had a wonderful experience dining at Tarantini this evening. The staff was welcoming and polite the moment we entered the lobby. The restaurant has an atmosphere that’s perfect for an intimate date night, or a dinner with family or old friends. Our server Margaret was very friendly, attentive, and gave us great recommendations for our meal. The food…incredible! Their fresh baked bread was outstanding, and the lasagna was incredible . If you’re looking for a delicious meal at restaurant with friendly, professional staff, look no further.

Wonderful food. Clean and comfortable. Just right on service and atmosphere.

A little late review but we had the private room for my sons Rehearsal Dinner for about 30 people in November and it was nothing but perfect! Elaine worked with me creating an amazing menu, let me use my own plate decor which she had displayed perfectly. The service was impeccable and met everyone’s needs. The food was absolutely amazing! We had family style which everyone loved. I would recommend this restaurant highly! We live out of state but plan on visiting whenever we are in town!

Food was delicious, the ambiance was nice. They had the windows open so it was semi outdoor and indoor, with additional seats outside.
Expect a slower pace meal (good or bad depending on what you want)

Wonderful experience! The food was very good and perfect, the atmosphere was relaxing, the background music made a difference on the experience. The bread they serve before the meal with delicious olive oil was the best! Server mentioned it was in house everyday , I would highly recommend Tarantini to anyone looking for a delicious and cozy Italian restaurant!

This is the closest to the real feel of Italy 🇮🇹 you can experience. Joe is one hell of a cook an one jam up guy. I highly recommend that you try his food an rate him. The best of all is the atmosphere that’s created inside the restaurant it’s just like the real life experience f Italy 🇮🇹
