We made the reservation online and were seated very quickly. The service is incredible since there are multiple waiters visiting you throughout dinner service. The food had an incredible authentic high-quality taste. You can tell the pasta is freshly made. We were stunned!

One of the best dining experience in Chapel Hill. The chef's menu with wine pairing is amazing (lots of wine). The food is delicious and the staff is very attentive and professional. Highly recommend.

Came here for the first time last night on an anniversary dinner and had the best time ever! Got awesome service and amazing food. 10/10 on everything! We had the pleasure of trying the asparagus appetizer, octopus, carbonara, beef tenderloin macchiato, scallops, chocolate torte and the tiramisu. It was amazing!! Can’t wait to come back!

The chef's tasting menu included 7 courses and was amazing 👏 service was great, atmosphere was lovely. Definitely will come back for the next big occasion!

We were staying in the hotel for our anniversary and decided to eat at Il Palio. We were impressed from the start - the warm welcome, the offer of anniversary drinks, the very attentive staff. We decided to order the Chef’s Tasting Menu since it was a special occasion and everything on the menu was unique - we were so amazed with the exceptional taste, variety, and presentation. We enjoyed dishes we probably would not have ordered as we tend to stick to what is familiar. The chef stopped by to speak to us several times and it was so interesting to hear him speak passionately about his work. I am so glad we decided to do the Chef’s Tasting - it was a uniquely delicious experience. Highly recommend this restaurant for the food, the service, and the unique experience - by the time we left, we felt like family. Amaya, Spencer, Andrew, and Bob as well as others made this a truly great anniversary dinner!

Phenomenal. A very easy 5 stars. The whole staff took amazing care of us. They gave us the best booth in the house and were all very friendly. The tenderloin was very rich, extremely flavorful, and the cream sauce was outstanding. The clams in the linguine alle vongole were very sweet and the handmade pasta was fabulous. The chef sent out free dessert for us- almond cake. And after finding out I am allergic to almonds, immediately brought out a slice of cheesecake and left the almond cake for my boyfriend to eat. Such an overall wonderful experience! World class.

Me and my partner love this place! Such a great date night spot. Definitely some of, if not the best, Italian food in the triangle. Service is always so great! Super friendly and accommodating staff with some talented cooks and bartenders. We love this place so much it’s our go to for special occasions. They also are great at accommodating vegetarian diets. The focaccia is insane!

A perfect and relaxed atmosphere surrounded in a space that truly makes you feel at home. Lyle, our server, was impeccable. We could not ask for better. The food and service was THE best you could ask for. 10 out of 10! Thank you all for making this an amazing evening!

Great dinner and experience with the Chef's menu. Excellent high quality food. Our Chef and waitress were super nice as well. Love the stuffed ravioli with lobsters.

IL Palio is an amazing restaurant in a fantastic hotel! The food exceeds my expectations every time. I've had the tasting menu with wine several times, the steaks are always prepared well, and are better than nearly any steakhouse in NC, or even across most states.
The staff is awesome- Kim, Massimo, Claudia.. all of them are great!
If you're in Chapel Hill or even the Raleigh/ Durham area, it's worth it to make time for the food and the experience!

I'm often skeptical of hotel restaurants but this one is excellent. It's my favorite Italian restaurant in chapel Hill. The menu is interesting and the service is excellent. I also loved their cocktail menu and be sure to check out some of their regional Italian beverage offerings that you can't find at most bars.

Breakfast: Between the espresso drinks and the bagels I think I found my new go-to breakfast place. The salmon bagel entree was huge and delicious. Definitely enough for 2 or leftovers.

Dinner: We absolutely loved our dinner evening. Food & drinks were delicious. Staff was attentive & friendly. I had the Il Cavallo Rosso cocktail. It was amazing. Just a hint of fall flavor. I know it’s part of their summer drinks but I hope it stays around for the fall. The Tennessee Mule was delicious. The Salmon appetizer and the entrees were wonderful. The chocolate torte & coffee was a perfect end to a delicious dinner. We will /hope to come bk soon.

This is our 4th trip here (staying and eating at the Siena Hotel) and it’s always been such a treat! We always feel so lucky to be staying somewhere with A++++ food and service! We especially enjoy and appreciate being greeted by a very friendly and familiar face each time we’ve visited. Her name is Kim and if you are lucky enough to meet her, she will always go above and beyond whatever you need! We are looking forward to our trip in 2025!!

I was traveling for business and this restaurant happens to be in my hotel. How lucky am I?? The pasta was so fresh… I tried the Pappardelle alla Ragu Bolognese and the PoInsettia cocktail. Everything was delicious and much better than I expected from a hotel restaurant.

We hosted my daughter's 17th birthday party here for a handful of friends and everything was exquisite! The customized menus with her name atop were a wonderful touch and the atmosphere was perfect for her special event. Thank you to Lyle and all the staff for a lovely evening!

Had a good dinner here after arriving late to the hotel during a cross-country road trip. Enjoyed the pasta and a locally produced blueberry hard cider. We tried several of the restaurant's popular crostini, some sweet some savory, enjoyed them all. For an entree I had the Orecchiette alla Genovese made w/locally produced sausage.

Couldn’t have had a better experience. Staff was incredible & food was amazing. I would highly recommend. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us and the chef made multiple trips to our table to chit-chat and check-in. Outstanding experience.

We were in town for a work conference which coincided with our Anniversary. We decided to give Il Palio a try and we are so happy we did. From the Bar to staff service to menu and food, all were better than expected and we were extremely happy with everything.

I made the reservation via OpenTable for my husband's birthday celebration. I requested a more private location by the window, which they accommodated. They offered printed menus with his name on it, and Proseco, which were very nice touches. Service was great.

This is the best meal I’ve had in at least a decade. The staff is excellent and I learned a lot about each dish (which were each unique and delectable). Will be coming back when I am next in town.
