Jim's Pizza

EDIT: Jim's pizza reached out and offered a free pizza to make things right. I truly appreciate the gesture and will take them up on it!
EDIT2: I got the chicken bacon ranch pizza re-made and it is DELICIOUS! The staff is super friendly and the food is excellent! I will definitely keep coming back.

Initial review: not a good experience at all. First I placed the order online and waited 15 minutes to come pick up two pizzas and wings. When I arrived to pick it up, I was told they didn't have my order and that maybe I ordered for Mr. Jim's pizza instead. After showing them the receipt, they found my online order and made it. When I got home, I discovered that the pizza with the ranch sauce, chicken bacon and onions was actually made with RED sauce (picture attached). Needless to say, it tastes BAD and just weird. And so the ranch sauce I paid extra for was not there. Guess I'm out that money. The BBQ chicken pizza is super thin crust and extremely sweet. Wings are not bad! I've been here before and it was pretty good. Based on this I'm not going to be able to come back--$50 for food that's just not good, at all. I tried giving my dog a piece of the pizza, she refused to eat it :(

This is such a wonderful place.
Full of great food, history and flavor.
I don't know how I came upon Jim's but I am glad I did.
My family and I had the Pizza Buffet for Lunch and it was SO good and very clean.
Head above Cici's and it was also good to be able to support a local McKinney establishment.

I was impressed with the Spaghetti sauce. It was flavorful and did not taste like it came from a jar. (Its not a meat sauce)

My wife loved it, I loved it, and most importantly my picky eater daughter loved it. I cannot wait to come back for their Lasagna Dinner buffet.

It should also be mentioned that the salad bar was very well stocked and fresh.

Aside from the many delicious pizzas, the fresh buffet offerings, and the super friendly staff that made you feel like neighborhood joints still exist for the community; their prices for lunch and dinners are extremely amazing, especially in this over-inflation economy. If you can, please tip well, they've shown that they deserve it.

I love this place. The owner is kind and accommodating. He always treats me very special even though I am on a strict diet and can not eat a full Buffet. This pizza reminds of the pizza I ate while growing up. Not like that cardboard style flavor these days. Thanks for the kind treatment.

[6/20/2023] There are about 8 type of pizzas when I visited. They were all bit salty. There was chicken wings but they were small, had good taste, and slightly over cooked. It also has spaghetti and salad bar.

This joint is better than Cici’s pizza for sure. Pizza Inn at Mesquite is better than this one but that one charges $3+ more.

There was this friendly energetic waitress lady. She is like a pizza ninja, she was everywhere, and took care of everyone. For the price, this restaurant is a good value.

Damn good pizza buffet, excellent service and a great price. I shouldnt go as often as I want to go. Workers are actually friendly and act like they enjoy their jobs and are happy? What kind of crazy place is this!?

This place, put simply, rocks. It was my first time visiting at the new location in person - all the wonderful food, vibes, and service stuck around, but they get to serve it up in fresh new digs. It’s just the kind of joint that you feel happier for having visited. Plus, they have brownie pizza. What else could you ask for 😊

Jim’s has never given me a pizza that wasn’t cooked and made with care. Staff is always super friendly and hospitable. Great value for size of pizza with still great taste and ingredients.

Great Pizza Place!!!! The buffet was full of options. The salad bar had fresh ingredients and selections. The staff was super nice and friendly. Shannon the waitress was wonderful to talk to. I will come here again. Buffet for lunch and dinner EVERDAY they are open. Not open on Sundays.

Food is good and has lots of variety I love the no sauce pizza its my favorite. The service is amazing they are so nice and quick as well one lady is serving everyone at once I would definitely recommend

Been coming to Jim’s since I was a kid. I Drive all the way from downtown Dallas now. The new location is nice. Love their Christmas decor as well. The Christmas tree spins and they have the cutest Christmas tree ornaments.

This is a pretty great pizza place, they make my favorite white sauce pizza (Chicken Bacon Ranch) and the service has been good. I can't speak for the buffet aspect but their carry out and delivery pizza is phenomenal.

First time at this new location. Son is doing his dad proud. Love the salad bar and the pizza is always hot and fresh. Great quality pizza and food for the money.

1st time impressions: Good pepperoni pizza, decent cheese breadsticks.

Good ranch, but didn’t care for the red sauce that came with the bread.

Will definitely be back.

My family has been going here since before I was born. Family friendly place with amazing staff and owners. Excellent quality pizza at a great price! The buffet always has fresh pizza and they are always coming up with new items that taste so good!

Pulled into the old location and it was abandoned, Google sent us to the new location. Nice place, same great food. Glad to see the American dream of passing your family business to your children is alive and well. It sure brought back memories from when I was younger, Jim's has been around a long time, but still serving great pizza 🍕

We ordered pizza tonight and Scott delivered our order. He told us he was short staffed but as always that made no difference in the quality and taste of this great pizza! We have been customers since the 60’s. Always amazing!

I stopped by for the dinner buffet and I was amazed about how tasty this place is! I had low expectations, but this place blows Cici’s out of the water. The salad bar is tasty and has fresh ingredients. The ranch is actually good restaurant quality ranch. Even the spaghetti was really really good for a buffet. I’ve lived in the area for a couple years and had always assumed that this location was affiliated with Mr. Jim’s. I asked a worker and he said they are not affiliated with “Mr. Jim’s”. All in all, a 5 out of 5 from me. Keep up the great work!
