Jim's Restaurants

I've been to this location of Jim's Restaurant a few times now. The first time, I just got a chicken fried steak take out which was pretty good. I loved the white gravy. The next time I came here, I got their steak and eggs and treated myself to the ribeye cut. I know the picture makes the eggs look dry but trust me, it was not as dry as they look. The steak was actually a bit too fatty for me but still had remarkable flavor and definitely hit the spot. The waiter also gave me a taste of the cheese soup and my mind was blown. I don't know if it was because I was hungry or the soup was fresh but that cheese soup was absolutely amazing. The only time that the service was really suffering was when I went with a friend a few days after Christmas and it was absolutely wild. I'm guessing people were leaving to go back home from visiting San Antonio and decided to stop at the diner for food. It took a good hour for us to get seated and get our food ordered. Other than that blip in service, I feel like most days, their service is quick and friendly.

This place had the feel of cleanliness. I was welcomed with a bright smile from the host/waitress, Hannah. She was very lively and full of positivity. I had a lot of homework and decided to see if I could get comfortable and do my homework there after I eat. Next thing you know I was there for a few hours knocking out an essay and a bunch of quizzes. The seats are so comfortable. I give this place Five Stars and Hannah 100 stars.

It's been a while since we stepped into a Jim's since they closed our favorite one on bandera and 410. However, when we went to this location and had breakfast, it was very delicious. Everything came out nice and hot, and my over easy eggs were cooked to perfection. We also had the chicken fried steak and it did not disappoint.

It was our first experience at Jim’s and it couldn’t have been better. Cindy our waitress was so sweet and attentive. Food was delicious and homey. Great visit.

I had one of the best grilled cheeses I’ve ever had (and told the chef who made it)! Our waiter was very kind and accurate. My husband loved his chicken fried steak and we overall had a delicious meal. Just a tip, always get a side of ranch. It’s the best. Thank you!

I've always loved Jim's Restaurants! Never been to this location before but was impressed with our server. She asked us multiple times if we were okay. Maybe 7 times. The food came hot and fast. I will go back to this location in the future.

I ordered the eggs benedict and they were SO good. The toast was buttered to perfection and the hasbrowns looked and tasted real good too. My boyfriend even says this is better than chops & eggs. Best breakfast I've ever had a restaurant so far. Highly recommend this place.

Their food is always delicious and their staff is so friendly and accommodating and definitely worth tipping extra! Great atmosphere and always welcoming!

I love the food love the place, table we could have been a little clean I was a little sticky up besides that great price and great food.

I'm very impressed with this resturant. I was seated quickly, the food was great and my waitress Erika was very attentive and polite. This is my new favorite American style restuant.

I really enjoyed my meals here. The service was what made it worth the trip, I was recently in San Antonio for business and found a real gem.

Food was fine, usual quality for diner food. Service was great. Our waitress was super nice. When we went to pay the poor cashier was getting screamed at by some crazy couple (they were upset the phone line was busy or something and they had to come in and wait for a to-go order, they were being ridiculous). After dealing with them, the cashier was still super nice to everyone in line, even after getting yelled at for something that wasn't his fault. Guy deserves an award.

It was a busy rainy Sunday. Wait time for seating wasn't too bad, tho. Food made to order and was as requested. I initially went for pancakes, but ordered a club sandwich instead w/fries. I actually like Jim's better than Danny's 😬

Our server Florida aka "pata grande was FANTASTIC! The food quality and quantity was great along with reasonable pricing.

Just good basic breakfast served by real nice staff.

The pictures say it all don't they. The food really could be better but our servers were great we usual.

The best waitress I've ever had! I'm sorry I didn't get her name but she took excellent care of us even though it seemed they were short staffed. Super friendly waitress! When we were ready to pay at the register she noticed no one was there so she came over to take care of us right away! I'll definitely go back to this location just because of her!

Stopped in for breakfast while in town for a little get-away. They were super busy and understaffed. However, everyone knew their job, and was doing it! We never felt like we were left for dead, and our food came out quickly. Everything was delicious! Hats off to the management and crew there for giving 110% to make things run smoothly despite the challenges!
