I really like this clinic. Theyve been on top of every appt. And they can make appts for me at local specialists. Very different than the way it was at bigger places years ago.

In 15 years there i have never spoken to an actual Dr in that facility. They have nurse practicianers coming and going changing peoples medicines out of their Personal preference w OUT EVER CONSULTING W PATIENTS. Just for another to come in and repeat the process They have vetetans so chemically screwed up from Malpractice and making changes in medicimes THEY DO NOT HAVE FORMAL OR SPECIALTY TRAINING IN and remove or change to medicatioms that have extremely bad reactions causing Veterans to lose chemical stability and unravels and destabilizes lives. I'm just one of thousands Mattoon VA CBOC has done it too. Left Mattoon amd started getting care from Real Dr in VA elsewhere and when he moved on they forced me back to Matoon and w in 2 months a new nurse practicioner is attwmpting ti change my medications again w out ever having consulted w me ir prior Drs who deemed my situation beyond necesseray to be maintained by certain level of managememt A NURSE PRACTITIONER "ISN'T COMFORTABLE WITH IT" So she consulted anther nurse practitioner in a field unrelated to my condition to Loophole a way to not have to manage my treatment to the standard thats been woeking for years w zero issues after an additiin 15 years suffering from multiple spine surgeries! The VA has a cycle of bandade treatment and mixed opinion diverse Drs thet change more than i change my socls leaving Veterens UNSURE OF THEIR HEALTHCARE. IM 90% SERVICE CONNECTED AND SUFFER, BUT BECAUSE 1 NURSE PRACTITIONER DOSEN'T LIKE THE NAME OF A MEDICINE REGAUEDLESS OF THE RESULTS OF A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE OVER ALL, SHE GETS TO CHAGE IT FOR HER SENCE OF COMFORT!! Time to go to war w VA we have to take a stand before more amd more of us die from their negligence.
