Bud’s Custom Meats has been my go-to for over a year now. The first time I stopped in, I was on my way home from Iowa City and realized I needed hamburger for supper that evening; they were about to close, but the gentleman working was happy to help. I’ve made it a point to continue going after that, even though it is out of the way for me. Their meats in the counters are excellent, even the hamburger is so much better than what I typically find in my regular grocery store, and holy cow, their customer service is second to none.

Was taking a friend to the casino for her birthday on the way there she asked if I'd ever been there I said no but always wanted to she said that she would like to check it out on the way back to Coralville so we did and found the selection awesome and we both bought some bologna. It was the best I'd ever tasted. Will go back again and will recommend them to others. Best customer service as well second to none!!

I was traveling through Iowa from Missouri to Minnesota, needed a break at Casey’s gas station. Saw Buds beef jerky by the front register and just on a whim bought a pack. Wish I had bought like 5 bags!!!! It’s sooooo good!!!! Ordering more now that I know they have a website!!!!

It doesnt get any better than Buds!! We not only love the jerky. But my husband and i would have a half a pig done...and of course beef to. where i am living in Nebraska, they have not heard of just plain ol ground pork. So when my son comes to visit, he brings me enough for 6 mos. My husbands favorite was making meatloaf with it...use mustards instead of ketchup and ritz crackers or knock offs instead of regular crackers or breads...Fantastic. Best Beef Jerky and beef sticks in Iowa, stop everytime we drive past!

Excellent products and service. The smoked ribs and smoked salmon make serving a high quality meal easy. Also, their Amish sausage is unique.

It may look like a blip on the map but it is worth the stop. Headed out on vacation and stopped for gas. Saw the sign and stopped in. The jerky and meat stick are amazing! Will be stopping back on the eat home and picking up more meat. Hopefully they can ship!

I drove from Davenport to pick up a Ham was very good and the jerky was some of the best we have ever had not to peppery and texture was nice, the beef sticks were great better than some we have picked up in Wisc.. only thing did not have any T-Bones ready they were real busy,cutting up a large amount of pork. We will try again in the future. The drive was well worth it.

Love the smell when you walk in. Prices are fair. They carry exotic meats. I like to buy some special people some special items as gifts.

I stopped in last Saturday because my Fiance (who's deployed overseas) specifically requested several bags of Buds jerky in his care package. The employees were so helpful, they vacuum sealed everything I picked out so it would last the trip over, and even threw in an extra bag for him. Everyone asked me to thank him for his service and a customer even stopped me on my way out to tell me to thank him and knows it's a huge sacrifice for us. Experiences like these are why I'm a huge advocate of supporting local businesses. I emailed my fiance immediately after and said we will be buying ALL of our meat from there from now on. The 45 minute drive is worth it.

Been getting buds jerky off an on for over 20 years! Ratings, Ratings, Ratings ! 4.5 Stars ! That says it all. You do not see to many small town butcher shops anymore. Best Jerky Ever ! The Spicy is my favorite !!!

Absolutely hands down the best jerky I've ever eaten...been all over the country and have tried just about everyone's beef jerky. But this bar none the best ..I will definitely be ordering directly....good job folks.

I don't know who this Keniston guy is but he must have never been in a real locker or meat processing place. He should have just bought some jerky and all would be well. Best locker to have your animals processed at and the best jerky in the country.

Great place to go to if you're looking for a wide variety of meats. They carry items like frog legs,pork, lamb, buffalo, beef are just a few plus being a butcher shop. They also make their own own beef jerky

BEST beef jerky EVER!!! We stock up whenever we're in town. Have other good meats as well. Worth the stop!

I just ordered some jerky to try, and it's for sure some of the best I've had. Tough which I really like, and the flavor is amazing. Will be back to get more!

Usually I'm not a reviewer, but hot damn this jerky was good. Perfect texture, flavor was spot-on, and the cost was totally appropriate. It's my new go-to.
