Awesome experience. Beautiful river, we were the only people on the water the day that we tubed. Make sure you follow directions and stay all the way to the right for the first drop.

We had the BEST time! There’s not much info online so I wanted to share our experience. When you are headed there it’s on a very narrow road and you feel like you are going to the middle of nowhere. When you finally get to the spot it’s just a little area where you pay cash. ($10 per person and $5 for a float for your cooler if you need it) You then pick out your tubes and climb into the bed of a pick up truck and they drop you off at the beginning of the float. There is a little beach area about halfway through that you can stop at. At the end there is a nice swimming area and a ladder up the cliff where you can climb and jump in. They pick your tubes up from there and you have a short walk back to your cars. They close the tube drop offs at 4 but you can stay and swim until 7.

The details for this spot are pretty ambiguous so I'll try and give my best explanation. I made it here by piecing together reviews and a limited amount of information from their Facebook page and "website".

The Google maps directions were accurate. You're going to follow a gravel and dirt road until it ends. Look left and you'll see a building with a sign for a restroom and an office. Beyond that is a mountain of black inner tubes. We parked on the grass on the right side. Check in consists of putting your name on a sheet that basically agrees you'll bring the tube back and paying $10 a person. $5 for a tube with netting to put a cooler in. No glass on the river, but bring whatever you like to drink otherwise.. It is cash only, so come prepared.

When you've selected your tube, and you're ready to go, you'll load up in the back of a pickup truck and head up river. Drop off is a shallow rocky/sandy spot to get yourself situated. This is a river, it's not a developed park so you will encounter rocks, logs and wildlife. Yes, you'll see discarded beer cans, but mostly only the first part of the river. There are a few "rapids" but honestly you could walk down any of them if needed.

The river is a mix of sun and shade along the way. You will encounter beaches to take breaks, rocks and trees to jump from and plenty of lazy floating. The end of the float is a nice deep swimming hole with a rope swing and a cliff jump. The cliff jump is a rusty ladder with platforms that could be sketchy i guess. I'm about 250 pounds and I made it to the top. The whole trip took us about 3 hours.

This is WAY off the beaten path but was one of the best experiences I had on my trip to Alabama. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who's willing to have an adventure. Get out there.

One of the best swimming holes hands down. You can go around in circles for hours best to go with group of friends but just as fun by yourself for some good peace and quite.

Great place to go with the family if you go during the week. On the weekends ion the summer there is a lot of folks drinking and can get crowded on the river.

It was a fun time about 2and a half hours long and must have cash 10 dollars a person and 5 dollars for a cooler tube
