Impressed with this place! They were friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible from the outset. They did an outstanding and timely job installing a lift kit on my truck—ahead of schedule and precisely as quoted. Hard to find a friendly, reasonably priced, and reliable mechanic around here, but Pete and his team were truly amazing.

I’ve taken my jeep all over MO and IL, to car dealerships with certified techs. WELP. They failed me. After my neighbor Shonn heard me complaining, he referred to Mike’s in Collinsville. Mind you, Shonn owns a souped-up Jeep so I know he wouldn’t lead me astray. After months of putting it off and driving on the road dangerously, I called the shop. The guys were able to get in within the week, and after one full day of TLC, my jeep has never been in better condition. I went from a Jeep wobble at 40 mph, lights flashing all over my dash, my a/c knocking, and electrical issues — to a safe ride for my son and I.

I have to give so much thanks and appreciation to Sam as he has been/is the kindest person I have ever had the pleasure of working with — especially in the automotive business. I used to sell aftermarket car products so I know how rough it can be. I even contacted companies closer to me and refused to use them because they were rude and rushy on the phone. Sam made sure I understood the issues/solutions, updated me on pricing (extremely low — I was expecting to pay a lot more), and truly cared about providing the best customer service to ME.

I had another great experience at Mikes Automotive today. I made my appointment over a week ago with Sam. He has a great attitude and even though they are busy, he took his time to schedule me.
Then this morning, my car was taken right in and the work was done in a timely manner and Sam checked me in and out with a “customer first” attitude.
Todays experience at Mikes is why my entire family uses Mikes Automotive for all of our car maintenance!

I’m very thankful for my experience at Mike’s Automotive! Our family is new to the area and when we found our car in need of repair. We asked a young man from an oil change place and he personally recommended Mike’s without hesitation. He said that they would be fair and the repair would be done right the first time. He spoke so highly of them I didn’t second guess his opinion and he was right. They got me right in, showed me the issue, gave me a quote, ordered the parts and fixed everything just like they said they would. They were more than fair and everything was fixed right the first time! I would recommend them to anyone and we are customers for life!

This was my first time at Mike’s, I am new to Illinois and went based on all of the great reviews. I definitely was not disappointed, they communicated with me wonderfully through my email preference as I am doing school full-time online. They were honest about a good day to come in that would not waste my time, they don’t overcharge you for the great work that they do, and they were EXTREMELY fast. I was extremely pleased with the professionalism shown me. This was my first appointment with Mike's Automotive and I got appointment almost immediately. Mike's reviewed my brakes, tires and transmission and they called me with several recommendations. They completed all the work that same day and their cost was very market competitive. I have scheduled my 2nd car with them for next week. I would highly recommend Mike's Automotive for anyone needing excellent professional service at reasonable cost.

I’ve been going here for probably over 12 years for all of my basic oil changes as well as car repairs. I think the prices are fair, they are always good to their customers, either new it or regulars, and fit you in in a timely manner. Pete and Tom as well as their mechanics work quick and provide a comfortable space to wait. Highly recommend!

Thanks to Pete and the crew for the exceptional service. I called in because I was concerned about a check engine light and my vehicle acting up. They told me to bring it in at my convenience for them to look at it. After dropping off the vehicle, I received a phone call from the shop within a couple of hours and was given a detailed explanation of what was wrong. They fixed it same day and got me back on the road. This is a quality shop that is fair and trustworthy. I highly recommend them. Thank you, Mike's Automotive.

I have been taking my car to smaller shops for 45 years. I find I get better service. Well, Mike's has proven that once again to be true and maybe even taken it a bit farther. From Tom at the service counter to the guys in the shop, everyone is courteous and professional. I have now been going to them for more than 8 years and I will continue to go to them. We take all of our vehicles, and even my husband, a former ASE certified mechanic won't go anywhere else. Thanks!

Mike’s was referred to me by a co-worker so I called them. I tried getting ahold of the dealer, that was a joke. It was going to cost a lot at the dealer, but I have a foreign car and most places won’t work on them. Mike’s quoted me a price that was less then half of what the dealer wanted. I dropped it off, and it took 1 day to get my car back. I was floored at how fast it was fixed. Great service, and people. Highly recommended and I will be taking my car to them for any future repairs, thanks so much!!!

Mike’s Automotive is the pinnacle of this industry. Pete and Tom are the most honest guys I’ve ever met. They care about you and they provide outstanding customer service.. something that’s hard to find nowadays. They do very solid work and they discuss with you other things they saw during the service. I didn’t feel they were trying to up sell me, they rather pointed out some things that could undermine my safety. Thanks so much guys! I will never go anywhere else.

Had an emergency with my car, Tom and Pete at Mike’s Automotive was able to get me in same day. They diagnosed the problem and was able to get me back on the road quick. They are always upfront and straight shooters in regards to any repairs and pricing. We’ve been using them for years for tires and general maintenance. I highly recommend them

I'll never take my car anywhere besides Mike's. First, they made a concession to fit my car into their schedule because I was in a pinch. Second, I waited a minimal amount of time before the work was completed. Third, the cost was incredibly reasonable. Last but certainly not least, everyone was friendly and welcoming. Mike’s Automotive is a great place to take your vehicle for any kind of service. The staff is friendly and dedicated to their job. They make sure your car is fixed the right way the first time. I go out of my way to take mine and my kids cars here. As a Dad, the peace of mind knowing my kids are driving a car that has been serviced thoroughly is second to none!! I highly recommend this shop to everyone!

My wife and I have been taking our vehicles to Mike's Automotive for several years now.
What can I say? Service has been professional, timely, and the results have been excellent. We even take our 2012 Toyota Sienna there, and they have fulfilled the 30K and 60K Toyota "check up" requirements to keep our 100K warranty in place for about half the price Toyota charges for the same service.

If you are looking for a shop where the service and mechanics will be honest and straight forward, I would recommend Mike's without any reservations!

I stopped at Mike's automotive to get help with my tire and I'm glad I did. Tom was very helpful and serviced my vehicle immediately. I noticed that every bay was full and they had plenty of work to be done but that didn't stop them from fixing my tire rite away! I definitely recommend this shop and will use them in the future!

I was looking for a new mechanic since the shop I had always used closed their doors. When I called Mike's they got me right in, the same day. They checked out the whole vehicle. I bought a new set of tires and they set up an appointment for me to get them put on. It was the first time I used Mike's and it was a good experience and I will definitely be a repeat customer.
