Big Mama's BBQ Express

I have been here well over 5 times now. I've gotten multiple different items and I can say that.

This place never disappoints me. The food is always fresh and really well made. I love the fried chicken sammich with Buffalo sauce. It even comes with two slices of cheese. Other places charge for that. And the price is very fair!

We were looking for great spots along our route through St. Louis on vaca to stop for lunch. We decided to give Big Mama's a shot. My 5 year old devoured a double cheeseburger (had no idea it was a double when we ordered) so it must have been good. The pork sandwich was delicious. But the cake...well it took the cake. Reviews had said "try the cake". I repeat...try the cake. We tried the German Chocolate, Chocolate Fudge, and Carmel (all to go and enjoyed later along our road trip). Heavenly!

I picked up someone here as an Uber driver, but he was RAVING about how delicious the food was, and how it was some amazing comfort food.

Excellent BBQ joint right off the Interstate. Arrived a few moments after they opened. The brisket was tender and hot; the wings were tender, hot and juicy; the waffle fries were good; the potato salad was amazing! The house BBQ is the best; Sweet & Spicy has a nice twang to it; Smokey Hot has a good heat to it. Lots of parking space, easy drive through that is accessible for cars pulling trailers!

The food is so good here. Would definitely recommend if you want good barbecue. I ordered rib tips, potato salad, and the banana pudding cake. It was amazing.

I had the Pork Sammi with slaw. This is the best thing I have put in my mouth in a long time. You might not think so by the building but 20 years of the best BBQ and a long line don't lie. You will not be disappointed.

Visiting STL and wanted some ribs. We didn't want those chain restaurant ribs. We wanted backyard style ribs! Was told about Big Mama's and glad we went!

It was a good experience. I try to go there whenever I visit my hometown. They sell out of popular items, so try to call or go early. Thank you for making my trip even better with good food.

My first time eating there was May 2023. I was not disappointed. Even my husband whose a BBQ master said the flavors were good & the meat tender. Not a big fan of the BBQ sauce. The desserts a must try! Moist & delicious cakes. I recommend. A thumbs up.

Located in East St. Louis. A must go if you love Snoot. I do and I have found no one on the west coast that specializes in it. The rib tips are spectacular as well. Great eating.

While in town, got my BBQ polish and it was AWESOME! I can't wait to get back and get some more

SUPER GOOD FOOD!!! The bbq here is delicious you have to try the Cooter, it's pulled pork and fries all together......soooo good, they also make cake and the Carmel cake is no joke

I knew it was going to be good because it was always busy whenever I drove by. I am so glad I decided to try it. The pulled pork is juicy and smoky! The cole slaw is perfect and the fries were crispy and hot. Cannot wait to try something else.

Great food and real value for your money. I especially like the cooter fries - almost a meal by themselves!

Okay, my sister told me about this place. They had one of the best snoots I have tasted in a very long time! Places where I live act like they came from a cave by asking me, "What is a Snoot" ??? If you have to ask the customer, then you must not have a clue. Anyway, Big mommas has combos and I got the rib tips & snoot combo!!! Then bought fries on the side that were really hot & good! Get over there and try their BBQ!!!!!!!!!!!!

The owner Craig and all of his employees are extremely nice I just got done working on their ac units and he wouldn’t let us leave with out us trying the cooter sammich it was some of the best bbq I’ve had yall definitely need to go there and get it you won’t regret it thanks Craig
