El Toro at the Fields

I’m from Chicago so was skeptical going to a Mexican restaurant but this was a delicious meal. The beans and rice were tasty and the salsa was addicting. I had a steak burrito and it came with yummy sauce on top. Silvestre was my waiter and he was very nice and attentive.

Rice was excellently made. Very nice location, spacious and cozy. Huge outdoor seating area as well. Food was on point.

Along with everything else in this area, El Toro is newly constructed. It's a nice clean place, providing a reliable dining experience. Chips and salsa are good, food is good, service is good.

De-li-cio-so! looks like a lot of medics eat here. this is also a fancy restaurant for a classy date🙄.

2nd time: Had the flautas mexicanas. They were decent; the tacos de asada taste better in my opinion. The guacamole tastes good if you add salt 🧂 to your taste.

El Toro at the Fields was the perfect place for a Sunday afternoon meal with the family. The Fuentes family prepares great authentic Mexican fare at an affordable price. The service was friendly and speedy. Our server went out of his way to provide our granddaughter with paper and crayons. We will return.

Had the Texas taco salad and it was the best taco salad I have had out. The service was great and very friendly.

i can’t speak to any other dish besides the shredded chicken quesadilla, so read this review with a grain of salt. these are the best chicken quesadillas i’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting in my entire life. i yearn for the recipe, as every waking moment is consumed by the thought of these quesadillas. i can’t concentrate on my school work because of these quesadillas. when i cook or eat anywhere else, the food is always compared the the deliciousness of these quesadillas, which is just unfair. i have no complaints about the service, it’s always fast and great. honestly, as long as i get the chicken quesadilla i know and love, the server can spill an entire tray of drinks on me and i would still thank him. come to el toro. get the shredded chicken quesadillas. thank me later.

Food was best I've had a years.
Service fast and wait staff very pleasant.

When we 1st started eating here, it was really good. Then they changed the menu to more expensive iteams and the service became very bad. The food is good but what good is that if the wait staff never comes to your table to serve you. I tried over and over now i give up and its sad because we live near this place. The waif staff just looks at you but no come to the table.

Absolutely amazing Mexican Food! Worth the 2+ hours to drive here from Indianapolis! The Pastor Tacos and the quest fundido are awesome! I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Yummmmm

Food choices vast and varied. And food absolutely delicious at very reasonable prices. On a long distance journey but would definitely return again if going through this area again. Would go out of my way to do so it was that good.

Every time I stop in Champaign, IL I come to this delicious restaurant! I have now done both dine in and takeout & I'd say they both hit the spot. Great fajitas, flautists, enchiladas, mules & margs, & yummy chips/salsa. The fajita quesadilla is HUGE and amazing. Staff has always been so friendly and inviting, thank you! Love the t-shirts as well.

Every time I have been here, I've had a good time. The food is very good, and is always quick to the table. The service is attentive but not overly so – a good balance. The chips for the table are always fresh. The margaritas are delicious (and plentiful). I definitely recommend here.

Ordered lunch for my seven coworkers and myself online and picked up. A big hit among everyone at the office. Service was exceptional. They followed the special instructions on the order and went above and beyond to help me get the orders to my car. Was very pleased that food was ready within a few minutes of the pick up time. Would happily order lunch for the office from El Toro again.

This is a great restaurant with freshly made salsa and yummy chips. I had the best fajita taco salad I’ve ever had. My husband had a burrito loco which was amazing. They are doing everything right!!

Pleasantly surprised! Stayed at the hotel next door and popped over for dinner. Prices were very reasonable and my dinner was outstanding. I've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants, this is one of the best. Clean, quality food and lots of options on the menu - some typical stuff and some unusual options as well.

Delicious food and great service.

We were skeptical at first because I'm picky about my Mexican food. However when we walked in, it smelt amazing so we decided to stay and give it a chance. I was VERY pleasantly suprised. This place was very good. They give you chips and salsa when you first sit down, and the salsa is very flavorful, I loved it. The chips were very crispy and had a medium thickness. In addition we also ordered guacamole and queso dip, and both were good. What I had was not my favorite (chicken taquitos) but my husband and daughter had the eggs and Chorizo and it was absolutely amazing. Would definitely go again and try the fish tacos this time (made with Talapia). They sounded amazing.

One of my favorite El Toros, the other being on Neil St. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, good food that comes out fast and correct, great service! Jonathan took great care of us eating in, and their takeaway service is great too. Tuesday also has a margarita special and is delicious.
