West Side Park

The Flannel fest was really nice. Me and my wife attended last year and this year was just as nice. With more food trucks and vendors. Live band and more. Hope the Champaign park district continues to do more of these events year round for the community.

I grew up in Champaign and went to Central High nearby so I'm very familiar with this park. Took photos with my family at the fountain, great spot!

The playground is new and looked amazing (and also interactive for all).

Great place to being the kids. They are always happy to come to thus park. It's also nice that they have a fence up around the children's playground that way it makes it easier to keep track of your children. I most certainly recommend this park to everyone.

Valid park, 10/10 playground and unique facilities, statues are cool too. Ground of playground is EPDM (rubber basically) and everything exposed is plastic and there is a fence around it so your kid is pretty protected here.

Huge patches of snow for making a snowman in the winter too

Nice remembrance on Lincoln with statues and historical markers. New work on park has it looking good and ground itself is spongy and safe.

Great park on the west side of town. Everything seemed very well maintained and there are even a couple of large pieces of sculpture, a central fountain, gazebo, a memorial, and plenty of beautiful flower gardens. It was nice to hang out on my lunch period on a sunny day with plenty of shade trees. Shade , much like the shade my ex father in law has been throwing my way since I accidentally left the gas on and blew up his trailer.

Was a great day in the park with the clients from my job I work at circle of friends adult day center... We had a great time always so relaxing to come to the park.

really beautiful park right before the evening! i really liked this place. really clean, open, and spacious. i'll definitely return! great place to workout or bring your dog to. has a statue with a fountain in the middle.

Love this park. There is always activity, people playing basketball or tennis or skateboarding. The playground is a good size for kids of varying ages, the trees are beautiful, there's nice baseball space and plenty of grass too run and play in. And we love the expanded/ updated sidewalk through the park.

Great park for an easy stroll. Many festivals are held here. Located the middle of one of the oldest historic neighborhoods in the state. Beautiful houses! Park is well kept. Nice playground too.

This is a fabulous park near the heart of downtown. For kids it has a great playground that is fenced (parents you know how awesome that sounds). For adults it has many paths to walk along, a beautiful fountain to sit by, and many trees to provide shade. The path around the park is about 1km which makes for a great midday walk around lunchtime. A great place to enjoy any day of the week.

This is a large dog friendly, kid friendly, family friendly park. If you want to go for a stroll or have a barbecue or a picnic this party is very accommodating. There is a variety of artwork around the park with a playground and swings in one area. There is also a very nice fountain in the center and a beautiful gazebo for shade. This park has several benches along it's many walking paths as well as many trash receptacles leaving this park very clean.

Nice place to hang out, possibly even sleep. The park has a nice atmosphere and the fountain is beautiful. Folks come in every now and then to crash in the gazebo, but they're just looking for a place to sleep, please don't bother them.

It's a great park to go to, but there are some thoughts. First, as I've read some other suggest, I agree with the sentiment that it could always use restrooms, rather than having to run to local businesses to use the facilities. Second, the wide open space is nice for pets, families, and groups of people looking to play capture the flag. My only piece of advice to boot would be to leave when the sun sets. Once in awhile, not so pleasant things are reported after sundown. Otherwise, have fun!
