While vacationing in the Keweenaw, my Subaru Forester began giving me warnings that my key fob battery was very low. They were able to easily replace the battery (which I had purchased earlier) and I was so very thankful. Might seem like a small thing but for a woman traveling alone the service was a great blessing. Thank you!

I'm from out of town, and my truck broke down. They got me in the next day and got me back up and running. The bill was very reasonable. Thanks for your help and fitting me in so fast.

I brought my car in expecting a small normal wear and tear repair and ended up having more issues than originally thought. The mechanics were extremely communicative, super understanding of my position and concerns, and worked with me every step of the way to make sure I knew exactly what they were doing. I have never appreciated a shop more than these guys. They worked with me to make sure I was getting the best service and experience. HIGHLY recommend this shop, ESPECIALLY if you are a college student. They are absolutely wonderful!

Did some work on my rear differential. Super honest people. It took awhile to get done due to delays out of their control, but they still made sure to keep me updated. Wonderful people there who provide top notch service!

As we are from out of town, we had odd noise in my truck and felt need to get problem fixed. After contacting few shops in area, most are busy and unavailable for the next few days. Lakeside shop made themselves available and fixed our truck right away. They did excellent job and reasonable price. Very happy with their service.

I recently used Lakeside for a few different repairs. They started and finished the work in the promised timeframe and communication was excellent. I appreciated the suggested repairs that I was not aware of. Great professionalism. I plan on using Lakeside for future repairs.

I usually do all my own work on my truck and they have been very good to me every time I have gone.

They've always been honest with me and have been less expensive in my experience than others around town; I have been through almost every shop in the area. They even covered work under warrenty from a part they put in when it was faulty quite a while later than I expected them to.
Some things they charge more for than other shops but thats the game, different certifications make different prices.

Overall I am very satisfied and if there's something wrong with my truck that I can't do myself or don't have the time to do, I'll take it to them.

Job: 2001 Subaru with busted front coil springs and struts.

They only replaced what they had to in order to get me back on the road. Very low labor rate compared to other shops (~$100 labor for whole job!). Easy to work with and no pressure to replace non-necessary parts. Exactly what I was looking for. Great work! I highly recommend Lakeside Auto.

Excellent service! Rear brakes starting making noises during our trip to Houghton from downstate. Lakeside got us in right away and even offered us a loaner car since we were on vacation and didn't have use of another car. Price was good too.

I had an issue with my breaks and needed my line replaced. when looking at the price i went ahead and had them do all 4 lines from the ABS to each wheel. when got the truck back they were within the budget of $500-650 but had done every line on the truck (an extra 3 lines) for only $597. they went above and beyond what they had to do and it would have been very easy to screw me over as a college student with no garage to work on my truck (during winter). also they were cheaper then the dealer or another shop in town. To add to that they got me in the day i called to thaw my truck out and were done the next day. it took longer to get a quote from the dealer then it took them to get my truck, melt the snow and replace the lines. i would recommend going to them again.

Amazing service and speed. These guys know what they are doing and will work around your day. I can't say how much I appreciate the affordability and convience that Lakeside was able to provide. I know where I will be taking my Subaru whenever I'm in the Keewanau.

Wow these Snowex Plows they sell are so nice.. it's definitely the best snowplow I have ever owned. Nice fetchers easy on and easy off, down pressure and much more. Thanks Spencer and Fred👍👍

I am very THANKFUL for Lakeside Auto .My son attends Finlandia University and is far from home. We have used their services 3 times in 3 years for his 2008 truck .They are helping us keep it running, and keeping him is a safe vehicle . I can't say enough how much I appreciate everyone there.
