Joey’s segued and grill is absolutely the best. The food taste amazing, and the service was great. We were fortunate to be able to sit in the window. The food tasted amazing the gumbo is absolutely to die for. If I lived closer it would definitely be a weekly date night spot!

Delightful fishing-village styled eatery in downtown Houghton. They had a gluten free menu too! Our server was awesome and our party of four enjoyed the original fish sandwich & the grilled whitefish. Sides includes fries, hush puppies (what a treat!) & the best onion rings. Fish was excellent, though there could have been less bun. All in all a great lunch.

Cheesy artichoke was 👍. Fish n chips was 👍. Baked Haddock flavoring was alright, but was served *lukewarm*. Hard cider was local, which is nice, but wow it was like 6.9% alco.

Can I talk about menu design? Sometimes you're just going through pages of menus and you have no idea what to get. "Joey" starred their favorites and I have no regrets from choosing among them.

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere! My fiance had the whitefish w/beans and I had the Lake superior trout w/ wild rice. Both were very good and we left full and satisfied. This was our 2nd time at Joey's and was just as good as the 1st time. Definitely recommend!

Everything was good, but I love, love the red beans n rice as well as the amazing Key Lime pie!!

The service was great. I had an outstanding server . The garlic shrimp was good. I would have liked Jumbo for the price . How ever it was good .

Went on a Monday night and it was absolutely hopping. Great, fun atmosphere with staff always coming around to check on you. I got the coconut shrimp with garlic potatoes and onion rings and my friend got chicken Alfredo with garlic bread. Everything was absolutely delicious and the portions were huge. A little pricey but hey, delicious seafood in the U.P. of Michigan with a great atmosphere and fun staff. 10/10 will definitely be going again.

The appetizers were big portions and all food was flavored good. The service was great. The decor is very nice and there is a front and rear entrance.

Amazing food! Their gluten free menu is amazing, and they have a dedicated cook area. I had the jambalaya and didn’t have any issues with cross contamination. It was so good we came back a second time while we were in town.

I can't say enough good things about this place & who we found out was the owner. Allen I believe. Wait staff was very good.

Service quite fast for being so busy.
We witnessed an event.... It was closing time & a group of 9 stepped in asked if they could be served, The owner didn't hesitate welcoming them it for dinner.
Will definitely make a stop there for dinner when we are in the area.

Loved this restaurant! The food and service were great. We were in town unexpectedly and relied on Google reviews to direct us to this place, and we're so glad for it. It's not a stuffy, white tablecloth type of place. You can relax, have good conversation, and enjoy a very delicious meal. Staff had great suggestions and were friendly without becoming overbearing. I wish we lived closer, we'd be back often.

Fish and Chips (original) was the best ever! Even better than what I had in London.
Jambalaya was so good with many shrimps! Atmosphere and services were also great! We loved our server, Anastasia! Will visit here again!

Seafood nachos were out of this world at this restaurant. Ironically, I have never had Seafood nachos that I have enjoyed until these. However the Super Fresh ingredients and homemade chips made it amazing! Love that it is a family-owned establishment for years!

Back when they had all you can eat shrimp, I won the company work trips contest of 100 shrimp. Apparently, because of me, it's no longer available on the menu. Still got good food and service.

Great food, service was a tad slow but that didn't matter once the food arrived. Big portions and very good.

Excellent atmosphere in downtown Houghton. We ordered Joey’s Original Fish and Chips and the Fish Tacos. They were delicious!!! If you’re in the area and hungry I’d definitely recommend.

Stopped in at 8 pm on a Saturday. We were told a 20-minute wait, but it was only 10. Friendly hostess and waiter. Place was very busy and all the people I could hear loved the food. Food came out at an adequate pace for having a nice dinner and drink. We had the Rangoons as an appetizer. Amazing. Rajun cajun and southern style catfish for dinner. The food was excellent. Hushpuppies were the best I've ever had anywhere. The only downside I could see was that the plating could be better. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.

THE best service we had in the entire town. This guy, Isaac, was attentive& relatable He even went out of his way to make sure we tried his favorite sauce with our coconut shrimp appetizer.
So that, combined with the best found in town was reasons we’ll be back. Lobster roll, clam chowder, & fish sandwich are ALL highly recommended. A+!

We're visiting the area. Joey's Seafood and Grill is a great place to eat. We had dinner there two night's in a row. From Appetizers to main course and desserts, it is no small feat to have exceptional flavor and expertly seasoned food from start to finish.
