We dined at the Old Port Sea Grill & Bar on our last visit to the Portland area. The seafood was very fresh, and the service was great. They served up one of the best lobster rolls that we've ever had!

Came here for my birthday dinner while spending the weekend in Portland. The oysters were delicious and entrees were just as great! Our server Roza was so sweet and really made our experience. Would 100% recommend.

If it were possible to give a 5 star PLUS, I would definitely give it to ‘The Old Port Sea Grille & Raw Bar’.
The chef has enticing items on the menu that you’re not going to find elsewhere. We started with the tuna nachos & they were fantastic. I don’t even like seafood, but I’d eat these again & again.
The drinks were perfectly made by the bartender. Again, unique twists on classic martinis, old fashioneds, etc. I had the Fall Fashion & another friend had the Earl Grey martini.
Main courses- top notch! My steak frites was superb! It just melted in my mouth. My friend’s fish & chips was fantastic. And another friend’s bolognese was superb.
So what made this the best experience? Justin the manager & Roza our server. Justin immediately built a great rapport with the table. It’s like we had known him forever. He even wrote down some other places to visit to really experience the area. Totally, a smart, funny & adorable guy.
Roza was not only charming and phenomenal at her job, turns out she was originally from where we grew up as well. Again, just built a great rapport with the table.
So when you stop in, make sure you Roza’s your server & you get to chat with Justin. Thanks for an extraordinary evening. We live a few hours away but we will be back!

We continue our first time experience in Portland. Right when we walked in we were greeted and brought right to our seat. Our waiter Sean came right over with complementary champagne for our One year anniversary. It was so thoughtful. The appetizers were delicious. Had shrimp cocktail and oysters. For dinner we had the grilled salmon with miso honey and grilled scallops with chimichurri. Those were paired with delicious green beans and roasted potatoes. We also added garlic truffle fries.
For dessert, had the blueberry scones and the tres leches. Overall, the atmosphere, service and food was 100% spot on. We cannot wait to come back to Portland and definitely will be back here. It was truly a great experience!

We had such an amazing dinner here, we came back for lunch a couple of days later. The food was fantastic and the service impeccable. Emily served us both times and she couldn't have been more attentive, kind, and helpful. The fish tank was a hit with my 7 year old, definitely ask to sit next to it when possible if you have kids to entertain. I highly recommend the crab Rangoon dip, fish and chips, and scallop risotto. The tuna nachos are amazing and huge, great app to share when dining with a group. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would.

We chanced up on this place last day in Portland. We were very fortunate to have found this place. After the usual "let me see if we have a table" we were seated near the bar on a high top.
The waitress was very polite and happy to talk us through the menu.
We ended up ordering the Crudo, clam chowder, coconut shrimp, and the twin lobster 🦞 poached in butter.
The food was scrumptious and we ate every morsel. The lazy lobster was a tad chewy due to being twice cooked but still way better than some of the local places.
My kid gulped down the whole clam chowder bowl without looking up. The coconut shrimp were very flavorful and gave a nice crunch to the otherwise softer dishes. The hero was the Crudo. Just so beautiful that it could pass as a plate of art than food. We finished the broth clean.
This ended our Maine Trip on a really high note.

My wife and I celebrated our 41st anniversary!
The front table we had looked right out on Commercial St , a great spot for dinner!
The best service we ever had !Justin came over and congratulated us and brought over two Prosecco drinks! Next Madison served us like a pro what a wonderful knowledgeable waitress!!
Gary another server made me feel great as he acknowledged my service in the Navy !
So we started with little neck clams , cocktail shrimp and clam chowder. Dinner was lobster linguine and pan fried scallops! Dessert was a chocolate torte with mango !All dishes delicious!
The whole experience was a great no rush dinner ! Thank you to the kitchen staff who made those delicious dishes for us !

I had the sea scallops, the brussel sprouts, and the truffle fries. Sea scallops and fries were phenomenal. The brussel sprouts were good. I like mine a little more tender. They are very crunchy. The sauce for the sprouts, I think, was like a sweet vinegary sauce. I would like to try them with a little butter and parmesan added. But still good.

This was an incredible dining experience. The hospitality at this restaurant was phenomenal. The manager gave us a page of hand written recommendations upon hearing we were on a bachelorette trip. The food and drinks were excellent and the prices are very reasonable for great seafood.

The three different meals we had were all really good. I’m not the biggest seafood fan but I loved these three because they were not too “fishy” and were cooked perfectly. The place is very clean, modern decor, tables are spaced out, contactless menus and our Server Gary was phenomenal, very friendly, professional and gave us great recommendations 🙌🏻 if you’re in Portland I would highly recommend giving this place a try !

A no brainier! We couldn't stand the wait at Js Oysters so we went here on a whim and got right in. This place has the same type of food, but was much roomier and with nice views of fish. Great beer selection too! The service was great too, our waitress was bubbly and attentive. We joined the clean plate club!

Let me start by saying, my fiancé and I are from a not-so welcoming city. Our usually dining experience would not be describe as “personal” or “engaging”. So, when visiting Portland we had no expectation of the level of service nor hospitality that we would receive at Old port. From the very start, Justin was quick to turn our birthday celebration into a thoughtful and rewarding experience for both my fiancé and I.
We were led to our very clean, comfortable table and our accommodating, welcoming server Roza.
Not only was she well educated on the menu, she answered our questions in a friendly thank you for asking manner. She is certainly someone to ask for by name when visiting.
After dinner we were approached by Justin, who inquired about our stay in the city. After hearing it was our first time in Portland, he sat with us to give his excellent recommendations of local bars and restaurants. To see him so eager to support the businesses of Portland while maintaining humility in his own very excellent establishment was both refreshing and inspiring.
Overall, we were so grateful for the service provided to us, as well as the spectacular food we absolutely loved.
Justin, Roza, thank you for being our favorite part of our trip. We can’t wait to stop in again.
Sincerely,
Mr and Mrs Noah

Visited Portland for the day. Stopped in to have a seafood dinner. Didn't want a bunch of fried seafood. This place had some great options. It's directly across from the harbor and seafood market. The food was wonderful.

Great find when I was craving shrimp cocktail and ran a search through Google maps. The restaurant was accommodating when I requested outdoor seating, then when it was too windy, they offered us indoor seating. My grandparents LOVED the mussels - they need to bottle the sauce. Everything came out quickly, the servers were friendly, and food was absolutely delicious. My grandparents are happy to have found a new local spot.
