Driftwood Resort Houghton Lake, Michigan

Karen & Paul have kept this resort in excellent condition! Our cabin was very nicely appointed with everything we needed. It was perfect for our winter getaway. Firewood available on site. We had a fire inside the cabin each night. Gorgeous sunsets await!!! You won't be disappointed!!!

This is our second year coming and have loved both years - playground, game room, fire pits, cabins/cottages are quaint and offer everything you need kitchen, oven, microwave, dining, bathroom and shower and comfortable beds. We have adults and kids from 2-58 and everyone enjoys themselves. Cable and Wifi are nice too as you wind down the day. Sunsets can't be beat. Also great quick service for any minor issues we have had - people on site pretty much all the time. Our only struggle is it books up fast to get we many cabins as we need (3-4) and the week we have been coming in August as schools move up start dates is not going to work in the future. Hope we can come back for a third year and adjust our dates!

This is an amazing place! Everyone here is really friendly and helpful. We have been coming here for 5 years and have never had a bad experience. The accommodations are always clean and comfortable. The decor is adorable and each cabin has it's own "up north" animal theme. The lake views are hard to beat. There is a grill and pickinick table for each cabin. Kayaks, canoes, row boats and a pontoon are available for use or rent. There is also a community game room with books board games, ping pong, air hockey, and billiards. The best part for those with young ones is that they also have an outdoor playground. Truly a full lake resort where you can carve out time by yourself or engage with the others with a beverage around the firepit.

We stayed Dec 2019. We came here for a weekend getaway and to visit family in town. The cabin is great. We stayed in the Timber cabin with 3 bdrms and 2 full bathrooms. Full kitchen with everything we needed. If we needed anything they have it in the "lending cupboard". The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Lots of storage space. We took the master suite with two twin beds and pushed them together to make a king size bed. This room has the bathroom attached. My favorite part is the fireplace. It welcomes you to relax and enjoy your time here. The cabin and property has wifi and cable. The location is nice and we had a decent view from the kitchen and 3 season room of the lake.

The rec room is right next door and they have a mini kitchen to entertain. Air hockey, pool table, shuffleboard, activities table, couch and chairs, tv with cable. Spikehorn Restaurant right down the road was great! Check out my review on Google if you're interested.

We rented several cabins and the timber lodge and had our family Christmas party here an the people and places are all amazing! They are equipped with everything you could need and are spotless, sanitized and absolutely as advertised!

They thought of everything for the cabin vacation. We had one bad weather day and there was still too much to do. Highly recommended this place to outdoor enthusiasts because they have all the water gear but also for families because the kids will be entertained the entire time.

We rented one of their lakeside cabins over Xmas break and it was exactly what were looking for: rustic, cozy, quiet, and clean, with super nice proprietors. We appreciated the 50% discount at Cross Country Ski Headquarters, as well.

We stayed 2 days. Very quaint and peaceful. We were very happy here and can't wait to try it in the summer. The beach looks like a perfect place to bring the grandkids.

I stayed here with a small group of friends for a winter weekend away. The view is amazing. The owners are very friendly and accommodating and the place is super clean and quaint. I will definitely go again.

A group of us had a wonderful getaway to Driftwood. The amenities were great and the sights were amazing. Will definitely be looking to come back soon with the family.

For many years My family would come here for the houghton lake man club where all the men in my family would come up to fish and have fun sadly though know that the property has been sold we can never visit this beautiful resort again this place means a lot to me and it's sad that I won't be able to come again but I can always remember this beautiful location and the many happy memories it brought thank you drift wood for being my happy place with love Sam Mazzara and by extension The Mazzara Family man club

Great accommodations, staff, and fellow guests. This is our 3rd year spending labor day weekend at Driftwood, and looking forward to many more.
