R&J's Best Choice Market Place

The owner decided to give this amazing deal for the first couple of days open this season over this weekend. 99 cents you can't beat!!! He did so in order to help train his new team and was SO understanding and helpful to his employees. I loved seeing them each smiling as he came in and offered direction whenever there was confusion. He was an absolute Doll and so were his employees. The store was super cute and had a ton to offer!!! Check out the pics I took. They'll be fully stocked again soon (fresh into the season) and I can't wait!y kids and my mother had so much fun sitting in their dining seats and in their little conversation corner enjoying their sweet treats! Every was perfection at a cost that was too good! Thank you tons R&J's we'll see y'all soon!!!

A local gas station clerk at "Evergreen" told us about this store. So glad we stopped in. Amazing selection of all kinds of local fare. The fantastic clerk at the meat counter turned us on to the Best Choice feta dip and the Kansas City smokehouse dip. Grab a box of crackers and a couple of their bacon cheese burger patties. You will thank me later. Pure heaven!! We also grabbed a thick cut sirloin and were not disappointed. We will wait to buy meat until we come up here every trip. Totally worth it. The produce was stellar as well.

English roast and chops are delicious.

Love the people!! There so nice and helpful. I found in there meat case two rib eye steak perfectly put inside a heart shaped plastic container the two steaks put together actually shape a heart in the middle. So cool hubbie going to love it! Happy Valentines Everyone!!

Highly recommend! Delicious, healthy options to create a picnic lunch while traveling. Fresh produce, deli counter with fresh made sandwiches (generous portions!) and dips, wine and beer, jerky and other goodies. Next door (same owners) has more produce, coffee bar, ice cream, clean restrooms and indoor and outdoor seating. (We have a dog in tow, so we took our food down to the small municipal park on the lake -- about 3 mi down on the left -- for a swim with our picnic, but eating here would have been great, too! Area between the businesses had enough room to pull our pop-up in-between, and turn around. All staff had on masks, but many were wearing them under their nose or chin, which was disappointing. But we will definitely make this a regular stop on our way to the U.P.

Great butcher and meat counter. I bring coolers and stock up on brisket, pork butt and sausages. Solid deli sandwiches and a nice selection of produce. Top-notch little grocery store for Northern Michigan.

have gurnseys ice cream (best) but the workers are busy so make sure they get the ticket right. this store has just an amazing selection, although overpriced, there’s something for everyone.

The meat counter here is wonderful! The rest of the store is exactly the kind of small shop I love: little bits of delicious things. Fresh fruit, cheese, treats like fudge and cookies, groceries you likely ran out of, etc.
And the folks running the shop are spectacular!

We specifically stopped there for candied jalapeños. We were very pleased with their vegetable selection. It was outstanding.

Absolutely the best deli in the region!! The one drawback is the sandwiches. Not the sandwich itself, but the process. Perhaps they could have just a sandwich maker since they make your sandwich while you wait. Taking away from the actual counter. Makes for a bit of a wait for your awesome deli meat and cheeses. However my favorite deli ever!

Very nice place to shop. Great and friendly service from staff. Many different things that you would not find in a typical grocery store. A multitude of various dips and cuts of meats.

Excellent Venison sticks, and the NY Strips are super mouth watering. And All there Meats are Fresh. Great Place.

Great place to get a sub sandwich for take out. Might take longer than you'd expect around lunch time because they get pretty busy but it's my favorite option in town.
Always friendly and helpful staff. Love the craft beer selection. Great place for emergency groceries without driving across town.
