Classic N. Michigan local pub. Great food and friendly atmosphere. And you do indeed enter through the back door! Great views of Houghton Lake if you sit by the window!!!

This place has yummy food, strong drinks, agreeable pricing, a very inviting environment, and friendly staff - what more could you ask for?! We can’t wait to return!

Stopped here in a whim on the way up from the thumb area to Torch Lake. Let me just say, we'll be back again! The brussel sprout app was probably one of if not the best variations I've ever had. Delicious, and a good size helping; suitable for 3 or more people to start with- easily. The Yum Yum Bowl was just as the name describes: Yum Yum! My wife got the turkey spin dip sandwich with fries- awesome as well!

Staff were friendly and responsive. The views of the lake are great too! Next time, I'm hoping we'll make it when the patio/deck is open! Looking forward to it!

Our server Toby was very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the boom boom shrimp, garlic parm wings and Rueben egg rolls. Not from the area but I’ll be back.

Great views of Higgins Lake! Decent beer selection, full bar, and lots of different food options made it an easy choice for lunch with the whole family. Even though it was busy we were still able to get a table in a reasonable amount of time. All our food was delicious, but the french fries and Sante Fe egg rolls were the highlight!

First time here, my neighbor recommended going on NYD. Hit the spot and we'll go back for sure. Sweet potato fries with the cinnamon butter dip is awesome!!

I gave this place 5 stars for the wolf burger and the frickle egg roll appetizer. Our waiter was also super nice and accommodating. Both meals were delicious. My wife got the shrimp rice bowl and it was very bland would not recommend that. My blue moon on draft was flat but our waiter hooked me up with a bottle of beer and a free drink chip for our next visit. Atmosphere was great and the view of the lake was awesome.

My burger was just ok, but the rest of the family loved their food. Great atmosphere and views. Great selection of food. Funnel cake fries were awesome!

We were recommended by the place we were staying. We had 12 people in our party. We had excellent service. We got our drinks and food very quickly. The food was excellent. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

We always love this favorite of ours up north! Their garlic parm Buffalo wings are perfect after a day on the trails! It's a relaxing atmosphere just across the lake- grab a booth seat and just take it in with a cold one!

Great food, great service, great experience. My wife suggested we stop here when we just got in town for a long weekend. I was surprised, and really just wanted a quiet place, to relax. Although what she wants, she gets! Happy wife, happy life LOL.

Although it is far from a quiet place, typical bar/saloon scene, I couldn't have been happier! Everything we had was great, and came out fast. Burgers were cooked as we asked, grilled onions were done right too. My only regret, I wasn't able to eat much due to weight loss surgery earlier this year. I'd have loved to enjoy more of my burger, and order some fies! I tried a couple of my wife's, they were cooked well, and seasoned well too! We'll go back next time we're in town.

Wow, wow, wow!!! Group of 12 of us and not 1 of us unhappy! The atmosphere and service was very good! The food was phenomenal!!!! Best burger in ages!!! All was so, so good!!!!!

Visiting family, came here for some takeout and was not disappointed. The girl that took my order was so friendly and efficient. I wish the fam wanted to go out for dinner because the place was so cool on the inside I wanted to stay. The food was delish, will def be back next time I'm in town

The Philly cheese steak bowl was very good. Basically, it's a cheese steak sandwich on potatoes. I didn't need all the potatoes, but overall, it was very good.
