Zantigo

Service is always friendly, food is always solid. They even wrapped it neatly! Tacos were filling and piled high with cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. Definitely worth it. I'LL BE BACK!

Zantigo is quite possibly my favorite fast food joint. I just wish there was one closer to home. And if they'd bring back the original Tigo Fries, that'd be cool, too.
Hard shell tacos are the best - shell stays crispy, the meat isn't mystery slop, and they're loaded to the point toppings are falling out. I appreciate that they'll add diced onions for free. My only concern might be that I suspect the shells are slightly smaller than they used to be. Oh well.
Post COVID, most (if not all) Zantigo locations are closed on Sundays. Bummer. There's a BK that closed near my location - it's across the street from a TJ, but what's a little competition?

Taste like heaven, the taco deluxe is the ultimate comfort food for me, and I have yet to find something on their menu that doesn't taste absolutely amazing.

Always know what you’re going to get with the Fridley Z. These guys rock and they always outperform the expectations! They get you what you want when you want it and it doesn’t fail. Been grabbing lunches here and there for years and these guys/gals rock!

The Cheese Chilito from Zantigos probably shouldn't be considered a health food but somehow it makes everything better. As a high school student in the 80's, it cured adolescent anxiety and relieved the stress teenagers feel when trying to move into adulthood. As a young mother, pregnant with a 2nd child, it completely cured morning sickness any time of the day. Now, I am finding that medical tests are less difficult if followed by a Chilito. I don't know what Zantigos does or what ingredients they use, but no one can replicate their Chilito. It seems so simple but this combination of cheese and meat on a thin tortilla and heated into a gooey tube is perfection.

Hard shell beef taco with sour cream is my favorite. Can you tell? Generous and fresh lettuce with tomatoes. The chicken soft shell taco and a side refried beans are delicious.

The Green Chili Burrito was good, but it was cold. Chips and Cheese are in a cardboard container so the cheese all sticks to it.

One word... Chilitos!

This is why you come here. They make the original chilitos from years gone by of the Zapatos and Zantigos. Taco Bell acquired Zantigos but screwed up by not keeping the name and the Chilitos recipe.

Service was fine - counter service. Our order taker was very courteous and patient. Perfect experience to go with the chilitos! Thanks!

Atmosphere.. Just a basic small chain like atmosphere. Nothing special. A little dated feeling inside but who cares.. They have Chilitos!

Support this place so they keep expanding. Everyone needs chilitos!

Stopped in with a friend and had a burrito, chilitos, and nachos. We had fast service, and the dining room was clean and comfortable.

The ingredients are always fresh and the food is consistent! I always hit the drive-thru and haven't dined in yet, so not sure what the inside is like.

Delicious I love their taco salads, the bowls are the best I ever had. Their green chili is delicious, l love to pour a bowl of it on my taco salad 😀

Love the Chalets... The “sliders” of fast food Mexican food. You must tryifyouhavent had before.. Mild and hot available. Recommend

Not only is the best Zantigo in NE Minneapolis, but it also has the best hot Chilitos.

November 21, 2019 update: the Chilitos were a little heavy on the cheese, but still delicious. Service is always great.

January 26, 2020 update: I have always been told that perfection is unachievable, as nothing in this world can be perfect. Everything is in an ever state of becoming, and deteriorating. HOWERVER! On this day I do believe I had a perfect chilito. Bravo.

Had the chilitos mild and chorizo. Both were bomb.

Their food is served hot and fresh and always delicious! Their employees are top-notch!

Good food helpful staff prices a tad high for fast food but it's good...

To be honest with all the different places that serve mock Mexican food around the cities this place is top notch with the flavor and quality. The menu is frankly minimal compared to others, but that is not a bad thing here. They know how to make everything and everything taste very good. The fillings are really good, and the food is freshly made to order.

Great food, awesome staff. Their intercom for the drive thru needs to be fixed but this place is great. Underrated

Love this place. One of me and my wife's "must go to's" whenever we are in the Twin Cities area
