Halfmoon Lake Day Use Facility

The ride to this place was awesome. The back roads were amazing. If you have any kind of sporty car super fun. The lake itself was beautiful. I didnt really check out the trails or anything but it was nice.

Very pretty beach and park. I was here for a special event (Swim to the moon 5k swim). The lake was very beautiful and it's very long. No running water bathrooms, and I believe the boat launch fills up fast. I can't wait to swim here again next year!

Wonderful area lots of room for everyone. Volleyball net set up. Area to ancor boats by beach. Lots of parking. Was able to launch a 21' cuddy cabin with no problems. Not a lot of parking by boat launch but has plenty in main lot. Only issue is Porta potties and not very many.

Beautiful, easy parking. Was there for a swimming event.

Serene lakeside boat launch and picnic area. Although I wasn't fishing, those who were seemed to be pretty satisfied.

I like that lake a lot especially with our canoe. Week days are the best as you will have little to no motor boat traffic.

It is a fantastic lake to spot a lots of birds ... Perfect for wildlife photography.

Parking is big and easy with portable toilet.

Wish they had a play set for the kids. Still loved and enjoyed our time. Don’t like having to pay to use a state park twice though.

A perfect place to hang out with friends and family. Nice place to bring your pets and young kids. Lot of parking space available. Boat ramps and beach area are there. One shelter is located over an elevated place which gives a great view of lake, especially during sunset...

Beautiful lake. Attended an event here and it was nice. Didn’t use any of the facilities.

This recreation area has a HUGE parking area that serves a large beach area and a couple of reservable picnic shelters. There is no electricity at the picnic shelters, but plenty of room and lots of tables.

Beautiful little lake that we accessed by taking a short detour from our hike on the crooked lake trail in Pinckney. We went here on a cooler spring day so mostly had the lake to ourselves. I would go back in the summer, but I can see how it can get crowded as the shoreline is fairly short.

An excellent family spot for the day! Splashing in the lake, swimming, picnics, and all sorts of fun!

Nice open area to picnic along with two shelters. Boat launch is available.

It was a very peaceful place to be. The breeze was nice and the air was awesome. Very clear area.
