The go to place for dim sum. Family owned with a younger kid running the restaurants which always means the food is amazing. The dim sum menu is voluminous with the traditional dishes. Servers don’t walk around with carts but will walk around with plates of food. Hard to find that nowadays with the traditional carts. The food here is always fresh and busy. Definitely recommend to everyone!

Best place for dim sum. And the salted egg yolk crusted baked buns are the best! So is the fried bean curd roll with shrimp and many more. Be sure to go early because the wait can be long.

Yangtze is hands down my favorite dim sum spot in the Minneapolis area because of the freshness and deliciousness of their offerings. I highly recommend arriving around 10 or 11 AM on weekends to avoid long wait times.

Among their delectable offerings, the crab claw stands out with its irresistible crunchiness and delightful flavor. The chicken feet are moist and savory, delivering a true dim sum experience. The congee is exceptionally smooth and flavorful, a true comfort food. And don't even get me started on the baked pork buns – they are simply divine.

While the space might be a bit small and crowded, the staff are impressively quick and helpful, ensuring a smooth dining experience. Yangtze is a fantastic choice for family gatherings over dim sum on weekends.

We did the dim-sum. It's been years since I've been able. I ordered it all!! Delicious!! Wish I had more pictures to share. Dishes tasted great, was hot, plenty to go around. Staff is kind. Hot tea was plentiful. Restaurant is clean.

My coworker invited me to dim sum and the food was absolutely fantastic! We got here right at open and it was already full since they opened a little early. Luckily, we were still able to get a table for two but expect to wait if you are coming in later. We ordered so many different things from chicken feet to a variety of different dumplings and buns. The food came out in a timely manner and they also had a variety of different items that were brought around that you could pick from too. Not pictured were some delicious baked golden custard buns. These were by far the best dessert item of the meal and quite possibly the year. Words can't explain how good they were. It also makes sense now why I saw them sitting on a majority of other tables because everyone else probably loves them too. The whole experience of drinking tea, chatting it up, and eating good food is something I truly enjoyed. I would definitely reccomend this place to anyone!

I first dined in this restaurant about 25 years ago. The dim sum, offered on weekends, is great!

Great weekend dim sum! Feels like quite a traditional place, some servers only speak Chinese too.

Portions are pretty generous and big - for example the steamed bean curd was quite large and they had 4 pieces of Shu Mai and Shrimp dumplings.

During weekend dim sum time it has a very bustling vibe

Amazing place to get dimsum. They have so many options. Highly recommend getting there as soon as they soon since they will sell out by noon!

Second time enjoying dim sum on a Sunday. everything was delicious, we arrived right when it opened and were seated immediately. great service, amazing dim sum options, would highly recommend to anyone interested in the experience. be aware you don't know your bill until the end and gratuity is added. very worth the price for the quality of food and the experience.

A staple for dim sum in the Twin Cities.

They reduced the cart service and instead give you a menu to mark the items that you want. A few dishes still get brought around.

If you don’t know what to order, try a bit of everything! My favorites are the siu mai, baked bbq pork buns, egg tarts, shrimp noodle roll, turnip cake, and fried shrimp balls.

They get very busy, so go early.

Def recommend! The food was very flavorful and I didn’t get the the oily greasy vinegary taste/aftertaste I get from a lot of Chinese places. The spice level could be amped up for me a bit but it works, especially since they were kind enough to grab me some chilly sauce (9/10 on the heat scale) can’t wait to come back and try more!

I've only ever ordered to-go, which I've always been happy with. The quality of ingredients comes through in everything Yangtze makes. No MSG or excessive salt (soy sauce) needed! Some day, I'll dine-in. The dining room looks cozy.

As always you will find delicious authentic Chinese food in a lovely setting. The Asian staff is is gracious attentive and always thinking ahead.

This is one of our favorite places to go on a date night out to eat and bring our friends.

Their proximity to the Double Tree hotel and convenient shopping is a plus.

There are busy times on Sunday for Dim Sum and Friday and Saturday evenings.

Of special note the lunch buffet is excellent and inexpensive.

There's a reason this place is still in business... great food! We've ordered food for takeout many times from this great restaurant. My only complaint is that, when ordering online, it gives you a "food ready by" time. That time will never be true, and it will always indicate much sooner than actual. But, there's a good reason... the place is busy because the food is great!

Great experience! Egg rolls, fried dumplings, beef and peppers, and Mongolian beef were all very good. The shrimp in the shrimp fried rice seemed to be steamed and added at the end, rather than "fried", but it was still pretty good.

Have been in for dim sum a handful of times and have had a great experience each time. Food is always very good. I'm not always sure what I'm ordering, but I'm never disappointed with what I get. Dim sum can be kind of chaotic, but that's part of the fun of it. We always have lots of servers checking on us and bringing more food. The wait can get really long on weekends so make sure to come early or be willing to wait for a bit.

I had the Mongolian Beef, and my wife had Sweet & Sour Shimp. The beef was so tender and the dish was perfectly flavored. The shimp were huge and perfectly coated and fried to keep the shimp moist and hold the sauce . I don't want to say the portions were very generous because I would not want them to change, but the picture is my leftovers. I can't wait for lunch tomorrow.

Dim Sum was very good. All items were classically prepared and very well done. Pieces were a little on the small side. Hom Sui Kwok was particularly tasty. Get there early as a long line forms.

We went for dim sum, which we had been wanting to go for a while. it was clearly a very, very popular place. About an hour wait to get in, even though we arrived at 10:15 and it opened at 10am. We took that as a good sign, so we waited. Glad we did. An extensive menu, and we tried a lot of it. The foods we had in China. Lots of steamed food. Not as much fried which is okay. Loved the turnip cakes, BBQ pork buns, and stuffed peppers. Beef noodles and spring rolls were very good too. Great tea. Not very hot. Service was slower due to a packed place, but that is to be expected

Amazing place for dim sum in the weekends! Busy and crowded every weekend, but no reservation is needed. Turnaround is very quick. Not the traditional dim sum restaurant (where they bring out premade dishes on a cart), but almost everything is freshly made nice and hot. We come here essentially every weekend for dim sum. We usually get some combination among the following: congee with pork and egg, turnip pancakes, sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf, breadstick noodle, shrimp dumplings, sweet soft tofu, BBQ pork buns, bread with egg custard, sesame roll, and fried chive dumplings. Highly recommended!
