We stayed in a tent here for the rally and I am so glad we chose Whispering Pines! I LOVED the central location and easy access to everything we wanted to go do. They have a store for anything you might have forgotten. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. Easy 24 hr access to ice, firewood and shower/bathroom/laundry. The tent sites were nice and flat, and the grounds well maintained even after months of rain. There are picnic tables at each site and a metal fire pit. Not to mention the owners/managers are very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. They made a week of tent living simple and enjoyable and saved us tons of money instead of having to get a cabin or hotel. We will definitely be back! Thank you for making our visit great 🙏🏻

Whispering Pines is in a beautiful location in the Black Hills at the base of the road leading up to Silver City. There are trails you can hike that are walkable from the campground that are beautiful, 4x4 trails all around, and great motorcycling in all directions from this spot. The campground was clean and well maintained, and everything worked well. As a full time RVer, there was everything I wanted here for a pleasurable stay. Lisa also went out of her way to help me with receipts for my residency since another campground I was expecting to use didn't work out. The prices were also extremely reasonable for the area during August. Highly recommend this campground!

Small and quiet family owned campground. No privacy really, as there are no trees and sites are right on top of each other. But the staff were so nice and generous. The pool was definitely warm (air temp was about 60 degrees Fahrenheit), unlike some other campgrounds that falsely claim the same. Small and older playground, but my 5 yo enjoyed it, so that’s what counts. The general store was well stocked, and had a pool table. Showers and bathrooms were clean and well maintained.

And of course, the proximity to everything the Black Hills has to offer, and to Devil’s Tower, really added to the value! We would definitely stay again some day!

This Campground is very family-friendly and always very clean. We love the little store with the food items available and liquor to purchase. It is super convenient to ride our razor right out of camp and head to the trail system too. It's just a couple miles down the road from Nemo where there is a great hamburger restaurant.

Paula greeted me with smile and a "We are happy you're here!" Her awesome attitude is contagious ☺ Harley picked out an ideal spot to park my motorcycle and we had a few chuckles talking bikes and cars. The store was stocked enough to keep me out of the grocery stores for the 4 nights I was there. GREAT LOCATION. Right in the middle of everything. Clean hot showers were a nice bonus. ✌🏻 thanks Harley, Lisa, and Paula!

Absolutely loved our stay! We decided last minute to go camping for the 4th of July weekend and thankfully they had a spot available! The campground was spacious and clean. The general store offered many useful items! The shopkeeper helped us out not once but twice with items we forgot! We will definitely be back!

Lisa and Harley (the owners) make sure that you are happy and taken care of during your stay. The bathhouse and cabins are always clean and comfortable. They'll help you with anything you need. The general store has everything you could forget (or crave) and the pool is a great place to relax and play after a day of adventures in the hills.
If you're looking to camp in the black hills I highly recommend it!

What a wonderful campsite. We are staying in one of the cabins which is extremely cozy and the perfect home base for our adventures through the Black Hills. The staff is very friendly and the showers and restrooms are clean and comfortable to use. The general store can take care of many of your needs. Definitely come for a stay!

I stayed here with a friend on our recent thru hike of the Centennial Trail. It was a great stop and a nice break from hiking. They were nice enough to hold some food for us (that we dropped off earlier), so we could resupply midway through our hike. Our tent spots were covered, so we didn't get our gear wet (again) from the rain. Harley even gave us some fire starter so we could have a fire. We both noted how quiet it was, even on Memorial Day weekend. Loved it and would stay again if I'm ever in the area!

We absolutely loved our stay here! Harley & Lisa were so friendly and FULL of information about the area! We only had 2 days here, and they helped us plan our itinerary so that we got to see everything! The campground is centrally located to most area attractions, and easy to get to. Facilities are clean and sites are spacious. We will definitely be back to spend more time here!

I stayed at this campground for 3 nights and would highly recommend to anyone! The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The facilities are clean and the general store is well stocked. I was pleasantly surprised that they even had a laundry building. The campsites are a tad close together, but it didn't bother me in the least. Loved my stay here

We had an absolutely stellar stay at Whispering Pines! Harley and Lisa have poured their heart and soul into making this campground a place to call home. They recently renovated their bathrooms, and they are sparkling clean and beautiful, with new paint, shower stalls, commodes, and sinks. They welcomed our family as we came and went, gave us advice on the best local sites to see, and truly made our stay enjoyable. We will definitely stay again if we make it back that direction!

We stayed here during the 2018 Sturgis Rally in spot 15. Couldn't have asked for more. Harley and Lisa were great. The pool was clean and refreshing after riding all day and the place was spotless!! Great location to all the area attractions. It was definitely worth the 1300 mile drive. We will absolutely stay here again for future rallies.

Harley and Lisa that own the campground are awesome! Amenities and facility is very nice! Tucked down off the road and great access points for surrounding destinations. I've been coming here for the last 9 years and it gets better all the time.

Stayed here just before Labor Day, it's a very well-maintained campground with hot showers, good separation between sites, a small store on site with the basics and honestly the most helpful staff. We came with just a tent and was initially a little worried about the noise, but the whole experience was great and the location was central to everything. Would definitely come back.

Great value. Clean, quiet, friendly-helpful hosts. Conveniently located for hiking. Within walking distance to access the Centenial Trail and 45 minutes drive to Hell Canyon and Black Elk Peak trailheads.

WiFi is a bit sketchy, but strong cell signal so personal hot spot worked just fine. Small pool is a bonus. Very large dog run area.

This place was excellent, close to everything but tucked away. It had a swing set, slide, and kids merry-go-round. The bathrooms were clean, with hot showers. They also had a coin operated laundry facility. The staff were kind and knowledgeable about the area. They had a small general store and firewood on site.

We loved this campground! It is so peaceful and relaxing. A great way to experience the natural beauty of the Black Hills. The amenities were well thought out and this made our stay relaxing. We'll absolutely stay here again when we're back by this way.
