I have eaten here twice now with my family and we are BIG fans!! The food is always great. A very generous amount of food, which is always awesome. They have a large menu with something for everyone to order. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Great spot for lunch or dinner. The server took us in quickly and took our drink order immediately. They served us with condiments for the table which eased our hunger. Then the food order came fast and the food was delicious. Great Chinese food and I highly recommend it. Will be going back

Their food is fresh. They use great quality ingredients and food in general. Grew up in NYC and lower westchester with great Chinese food so finding a great place up here was imperative. I love this place!

This is fam favorite. Great meals, great portions, nice atmosphere. I drive from Poughkeepsie to eat here sometimes as compared to my local spots so far (I am new to Poughkeepsie). Their food is always consistent which if you like it, that is good. If you hate it, no need to try again. Right next to carvel for kids and common grounds cafe for a nice desert for adults with freshly roasted coffee. Win win. And if you want to make it a complete family day without leaving a single block, you can go bowling in the corner!

Always delicious! And the order is always correct for takeout. Definitely the best quality Chinese food in the area. Love the nostalgia of going there too, reminds me of when I was a kid and went out with my family.

Was pleasantly surprised to find an authentic Cantonese restaurant in this area. Was even more surprised to learn it’s been here for decades. They can whip up all the usual Cantonese dishes you’ll find in old school Chinatown establishments, including honey walnut shrimp, etc even if they’re not on the menu. Just have to ask the waiter.

High quality Chinese food. Lunch time deals. But their food is always the best. Great service too. Free crispy snacks when you dine in or take out.

My favorite Chinese food in the area! Everything is delicious, especially the sesame chicken, chicken and green beans, and General Tsao chicken. There are great lunch specials.

This place is a hidden gem and a throwback to the Chinese restauruants of the 70s. Wood paneling, huge koi in an aquarium, comfy booths, porcelin dishes, and wait staff in vests ans bowties and hot tea make you feel like you are right there in Beijing, getting the royal treatment. I can tell you, because I have been to Beijing and eaten at fine restauruants in there. The vibe is all there.

The service is highly attentive, always friendly, and even makes great conversation. They punch far above their weight.

The price is no more expensive than your average take out joint, but the portions are huge, the food is fresh, and there are quite a few unique dishes that are not typical of take out joints.

Golden House is a staple in Jefferson Valley and has been in this location for as long as I can remember.
It’s a fairly large space, clean and well maintained with some nice fountain displays as well as a big fish tank in the center of it all. The staff is super friendly and attentive. There is a small bar near the entrance where you can sit and drink without needing a table but otherwise it’s all indoor table seating.
The menu has all the staples and encompasses many palates from soups, to appetizers to entrees. You don’t have to spend an arm and a leg for a huge meal either which is great. (They even put down fresh noodles and duck/spicy sauce when you sit. Don’t see that a lot these days!)
Again the staff is awesome, and super accommodating to your needs. This makes Golden House a great place to go for special occasions. (Perfect for birthdays, they will play the birthday song over the loud speaker if you ask!)

The fastest table service in the area. Just amazing how quick they are. Lunch menu is a very good deal!

Upscale American Chinese food staples with a few authentic dishes (String Beans with Meat is amazing).

Goto location for takeout. Meals are large enough to get two or three servings out of each.

This is our favorite Chinese food restaurant. The wonton soup is delicious. Been coming here for years and am never disappointed.

The best Chinese spot in the Hudson Valley! Very consistent, delicious food, solid drinks, good service and nice atmosphere. My family’s been going here for years.
