Millhon Clinic

I have been a patient for many years and have never had a bad experience with the clinic or anyone at it. They are so attentive and efficient in their service. My doctor is the best and since his family founded the clinic it is top of the line for me and my family. My husband was a big fan of the clinic as well and was given all of the attention he needed up until the end.

I have recently dealt with this clinic. My new primary care provider is part of this group. I have had nothing but good experiences thus far. I was able to get an initial appointment in a timely manner and I have had one health concern since and was able to get an appointment the next day. It wasn't with "my" doctor but I received great care. I have had to wait on hold to speak to someone on the phone but the hold time wasn't unreasonable and regardless of the wait time on the phone I was able to get an appointment quickly and that is the important thing.

I'm making a review in light of the negative ones, because my experience has been fantastic.

Pros:
Appointment time for physicals are usually within a week. Appt time for sick/flu is same day or next day. Appt time for mild sports injury (level 2 sprain) was 2 days. All of those times, they could have gotten me in quicker if I was willing to be more flexible with my schedule.

Wait time for appt in the lobby has never been more than 10 minutes (I go approximately 2-4 times a year)
Wait time for the lab averages 0 minutes if you go early, up to 20 minutes if you show up after the senior center bus arrives. Not trying to be mean, just saying it varies a lot.

As a large facility, they're able to do anything I ever needed on the spot. In one case I was hurt during a sport injury, and since my regular doc is more of an "internal med" guy, they made my appointment with someone who was more of an expert in sports injuries.
As a large facility their records and billing departments are ran efficiently and quickly, because they're not ran by someone with 1000 other things on their plate. I have called both departments at least 3-4 times, and have had either NO WAIT, or I left a voicemessage and got a callback same day.

Cons:
Wait time on the phone for an appointment is usually 3-15 minutes. This is probably the only legitimate "wait time" complaint.

When I first became a patient, and I needed to get a cut to drain an abscess, I was in a bit of pain. The doctor was weary of giving me codeine when I asked for it. I suppose they are being careful about pain med abusers. The doc just cut a 1" long, 1/2" deep slash into the soft part of my forearm... so I was in pain

Conclusion:
I've been using this clinic for 5 years now. As you can see, after my first experience, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and understood that as a new patient, they handled the situation professionally. I love it and wouldn't go anywhere else, seeing as how good doc's are hard to find.
I'm sure there are better places out there, but I'm very happy with this one.
I suppose if you're unable to wait 3-15 min to speak to a receptionist and schedule an appointment, you can go somewhere else. The time lost on the phone is nothing compared to the time you save in the lobby.

I have been a patient of Dr Chernick for all of my adult life. My mother, father and even my grandmother went to the Millhon clinic so when it came time for me to graduate from a pediatrician to a GP of course I went there. I find it comforting to know that there is someone that I can go to with complete confidence. He has treated virtually every inch of my body and I have never had a complaint. I will be honest and say that the office has changed since being acquired by Ohio Health but the care I get from my doctor is always excellent. I joke that I have probably put his kids through college myself but after 36 years I can't imagine a going anyplace else.

Milhon Clinic is a multi doctor practice. Everyone is super friendly and helpful

I have had nothing but good experiences with the physicians and staff. It seems so odd to me that people would complain about long wait times and needing to see your PRIMARY care physician before getting a referral. Wait time and hold times are maybe slightly longer due to the fact that there are other patients besides yourself, common issues at larger healthcare facilities. Also, most doctors will not just hand out referrals without seeing you first to discuss changes you have had. Yes, your problems and medical issues are important, but no more important that anyone else.

I have been a patient here, seeing my main PCP for the last 6+ years. I adore my doctor and literally make (gladly) long haul travel just for my appointments, rather than find I new one in my area. My visits have always been prompt, friendly, and professional. I can't speak to the issues the other posters here have reported, but in my own experience I truly enjoy this office. I also love the feature MyChart they utilize where I can send in new prescription requests and view bloodwook at my own convienence, all from my phone/iPad. 5 Stars.

I have been a patient of Dr. Shanaah for several years and have always been very happy. She is very intelligent, kind, and personable. I’m always able to get in for an appointment and never have to wait long. I moved farther away, but l continue to drive out to see Dr. Shanaah because I have been so happy and impressed with her.

I have been going there for several years. To say they are great is an understatement! I don't ever write these unless they are deserved. During a routine physical Doctor Addington casually asked if they could do an ultrasound on m,y neck, said nothing to worry about. To make a long story short I was almost completely blocked on the left side. Mind you I had just had a major operation two years before (neck completely fused). The physician then (NOT WITH MILLHON CLINIC) said they had heard something but could not decide what it was. Doctor Addington, with Millhon Clinic, found it on my first physical with Millhon. I have now reached the young age of 68 and firmly believe if it wasn't for these people, I would not be here to write this. Since that incident they have taken care of other minor, in comparison, issues I have had. Always with kindness and dignity.

I have been a patient at the "Milhon" for at least 20 years. I have seen many doctors there and have had nothing but great care. Keep up the good work!

I had an appointment with Jamie Mayo CNP and she was very thorough in answering any questions I had. She is a great listener who communicates well.

Excellent physicians, nurses and scheduling. Nice that the lab is also under one roof as well!

Never a long wait. This place runs on time every time!

I have had a good experience with the clinic and my Dr. (Dr. Chambers) Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Wait times when you call can be long, but they accept online appointments after your initial visit, so it makes things much easier!
