Kiddie Academy of Powell

A wonderful daycare. The teachers are loving and take really great care of our son. The owner treats his employees wonderfully which allows them to stay happy. The directors ( Brittany and Cheyenne) keep things running smoothly. They are a great representation of this company!

Kiddie Academy of Powell goes above and beyond in every single meaning of the phrase. The educational support, the social support, and the emotional support that they provide both my children and myself is enormous. I never imagined being so comfortable and confident when I drop my children off at preschool. I have three children that are in preschool with Kiddie Academy, so we have experience with multiple teachers and classrooms. Every single person I’ve met there has been phenomenal.

Another layer for me when initially searching for schools was that my oldest has some extra needs. I expressed concern about the developmental delays and whether my child was appropriate for their environment. The staff were more than open to exploring and we enrolled him after discussing it a bit more and introducing everyone. I am so thankful as son is thriving in the environment in every way.

Beyond grateful for the compassionate, intelligent, and well-equipped staff at kiddie academy Powell, but especially the director. I have never met a more selfless, real, and kind person. They are lucky to have her, and we are too 💙.

For those thinking of sending their kids, I will list some of the additional reasons that I decided this was our school
- CAMERAS. I love being able to check in on my kids and see how they’re doing. I trust the teachers at Kiddie Academy to the fullest extent, but it does provide peace of mind.
- EDUCATION. The class rooms and lessons are perfectly set up for my children and their growing minds.
- ACCEPTANCE. Having a child that is developmentally delayed comes with its own challenges. Without hesitation, Kiddie Academy was ready and willing to help support my child. Once they were able to establish that they had that means to care for him, they opened their arms to my family. My son has made gigantic strides every single day and is becoming a more confident and capable boy.
- FLEXIBILITY. Every single time I have asked for help or a change in schedule or some sort of assistance. Kiddie Academy has done what they can to accommodate. As a single parent, this is life saving!
- WORTH THE COST. I have no cons besides the fact that in 2023 and it cost a kidney to send your kid to any prek, but that is not unique to Kiddie Academy. For those who are considering preschools, this is a good deal and my money is well spent. They get fed and cared for better than they do at home!!! They have been very accommodating when I have needed adjustments within the scope of the prek contract.

To anyone seeking childcare, this is the gold standard. I would recommend Kiddie Academy to any parent looking for not only care for their child, but a community for them to grow.

My Daughter has had the best experience in Kiddie Academy's Summer Camp program. Ms. Mckayla goes above and beyond with the senior campers, each week is a different theme with crafts, stories and videos associated with the topic. The nutrition program is on point and the outings planned are adventurous and fun! What camper comes home and says they've been to a cooking class or got to go to the Indiana Caverns? I am greeted every day with a warm welcome, and the communication never lacks. I love Kiddie Academy, this will be our last daycare! The owner and teachers are wonderful and help a single mom feel at ease to provide consistency for my little girl. Thank you KA for such a great experience <3

Kiddie Academy of Powell is great! My daughter started at 3 months old and since then (January 2015) has been exposed to activities that I would not have thought to do with her. The parent/teacher conferences were beneficial even at such a young age, because I have used the information we went over to work on items that she should be doing at her age at home. Happy with our choice in daycares!

Looking for a daycare is HARD WORK...and can be emotionally draining. It's not just about finding any facility, but a facility that will treat your child the way you would. You won't do better than Kiddie Academy of Powell. The director, Sarah, gave me my tour, and I was able to meet the owner (Mr. Kay) that day, too. My son loves them both and it's easy to see why; they love children. The entire staff at Kiddie Academy is simply amazing. They are patient and hands-on with their curriculum (Life Essentials) and do PLENTY of age appropriate activities to keep the children engaged.

There are several reasons why I chose them, but it boils down to communication and consistency. They have fair and established ground rules, and they stick by them. I know what is expected of my family, and I know what I can expect from Kiddie Academy (schedules, sick days, outside play, etc was all covered in my welcome packet). Communication: how would you feel if you could check in on your baby any time of the day? WATCH ME GROW is featured here and you are able to log in to a live feed and see what your little one is doing. No time to check during the day? No problem, you will receive a Tadpoles report at the end of each day that includes notes from his/her teacher, the day's events, special accomplishments, and photos.

Onto meals. GREAT meals. Pick up a sample menu at your tour, their food is diverse and varied. My tadpoles report tells me what he eats, and how much of the items he is eating.

Bottom line, it's a clean, safe, and caring environment and my son's social skills and language abilities have developed at an amazing pace since he started 'school days' at Kiddie Academy of Powell.

My favorite thing about Kiddie Academy (this month) is the level of education. It's easy to see when my son is having any type of learning breakthrough because his vocabulary and ability to reason things out is markedly improved. Kiddie Academy must be seeing these things too, because they really take advantage of these times to feed his 'learning sponge'. It's amazing to me how quickly he picks things up, and sometimes he tells me facts and stories and I know that many of these ideas are coming from reading time, and play time from school. Their curriculum WORKS!!! He loves his teachers, too. Right now, he has regular interaction with Mr. Kenny, Ms. Waheeda, and Ms. Suad. He adores them all, and their level of care shows with every child they teach.

I have been so impressed with Kiddie Academy since enrolling my son over a year ago. Everyone there goes above and beyond for every single child, and makes me feel as though we are apart of a family. Amazing staff, amazing teachers, and an exceptional leadership. Will always recommend this place to any and everyone with kids! Will always be 10/10!

Our son has learned so much at Kiddie Academy! Your lesson plans are fun and interactive. We see him more confident and well spoken. He comes home repeating facts he's learned throughout the day/week. We love getting the thorough daily updates emailed to us. We ask about his day and know topics he has covered. The pictures are a bonus! Thank you!

Both of our children attend school here, older child before and after kindergarten, younger child full time. We are very pleased the with care they provide. All of the staff seem to enjoy the children and are engaged throughout the day.

I like the constant updates and feedback regarding their education. Sharing lots of pictures on the tadpole app helps me to see exactly what my child experiences day to day and im able to ask her specific questions about her day allowing her to be easily engaged in conversation.

My kiddo loves going to Kiddie Academy of Powell! They constantly have educational and fun projects/crafts for the kids and the staff and teachers are beyond friendly!

Ashley, the new director, did a great job. My daughter enjoyed her time here.

I'm very impressed with how openly the staff love their students and how much they all seem to like their jobs. The atmosphere is familial and cozy and feels like an extention of my home.

The staff tries to remedy situations that arise and overall my girls are happy, learning, and thriving.
