Hands down the best sushi I have ever had. My coworkers have been hyping this place for a while but I assumed they were exaggerating. I usually skip places where you have to wait for a while/arrive early as I get hangry and want to eat asap. It was worth the wait. The inside isn't exciting. It is very small and just looks like a regular sushi spot but the food... AMAZING! I wish I remembered the names of everything we ordered but I can say it doesn't matter what you get because it will be delicious.

I will be dreaming of this meal forever. At least until I return again. Incredible service fantastic food super cozy and the spicy tuna rice cakes are to die for. Everything is so fresh. Very happy new customer.

Best sushi I've had in a long time - top quality fish and great staff

We drove over 2 hours, then waited about an hour to be seated and it was totally worth it! Best sushi experience I’ve ever had! The chefs there are literally making pieces of art for you. Amazing food, amazing service and very cozy place too. Don’t hesitate from the long wait because the food is really that good! And the prices are reasonable 10/10

Nothing short of phenomenal!! This place defies the saying “nothing is perfect.” If you don’t mind the wait, you will taste perfection here.

After going to Sugarfish for years we decided to try Shibuya. There was a short wait (weekday lunch) and we were in. The menu had many interesting items. I enjoyed ordering ala carte and we tried a number of the rolls and some sushi. Everything was perfect. You can tell that there were very experienced sushi chefs using the best ingredients.

Shibuya offers outstanding sushi. Freshest fish, nice presentations and friendly, professional service. I highly recommend the spicy tuna rice cakes, the crab rolls and stuffed squid.
It is a small venue, so there may be a queue, but it’s absolutely worth the wait. I will definitely be back whenever I’m in the area.

One of the best sushi 🍣 spots in L.A.! Cozy ambiance with quick, polite service. Our favorite is the seared toro. It’s truly a delicacy. The spicy tuna rice cakes + salmon are other must trys. Cheers!

Been here time and time again, and they consistently knock it out of the park every single time. Yes you will have to wait, but it’s absolutely worth it. Everything is amazing.

Sushi highlights: uni, salmon sushi, salmon roe sushi (ikura), and yellowtail sushi

Non-sushi highlights: Japanese mushroom + scallops, spider roll

Small spot but well worth the wait. Took about 45 min to seat the three of us. The place itself isn’t all that impressive but it doesn’t matter. The food is the star of the show. From the uni to the toro, my taste buds were in magic town. One of the best spots for sushi in LA. But don’t go there, you’ll make my wait time longer. And I’m not a fan of that.

Salmon onion roll is an absolute must and the house Shibuya roll is delicious and satisfying

The freshest, softest, most delicate and buttery fish. I love this place. The restaurant is tiny, can't fit more than like 25 people, and doesn't accept reservations -- so you might have to wait a bit. In my opinion, it's worth it.

Worth the wait. Fresh fish and truly every dish was delicious.

Worth the hype. Get there early and put your name on the list (walk in even if it looks closed). 3:30 -4 is safe bet to be in the first seating max second.

Small, hole in the wall gem. Best sushi in Calabasas and anywhere near by. Big portions on sushi and rolls. Lot’s of choices you don’t find at many places, like giant clam and live scallops. Prices are very reasonable. Service is excellent. Coming back.

Hands down the best best BEST sushi I have ever had in my life. Sugarfish and planet sushi look like sushi from the grocery store compared to this. The quality of fish just melts in your mouth and tastes like anything I've ever had in my life. The sushi chef Ishi is our new go to person.

Must visit Sushi place when in LA!!! Best time to visit: weekday lunch. Arrive as early as 11:30am (they open 12 noon). If you are lucky, you will be seated right away during the first seating. Dinner would be a different story….
