I just lurvvvv the vibe here! They impressed me with how simple the food is but they elevated them so well! My skewer was a bit chewy but overall everything was great. Will definitely come back!

The drinks are absolutely amazing. The atmosphere and service is awesome too! Perfect to even stop in, sit at the bar and grab a drink!

Yes is expensive but is it worth it! YES not going to lie it was $100 per person but every single thing came out perfect, food was great, drinks were great, wine tasting great, ambiance great, service amazing! Every single person in the restaurant made sure we had a good time and gave us great feedback on what we were getting! If you ever go please try the deviled eggs! They were super mouth watering worth it!

Had a great time here celebrating a birthday. The cocktails were thoughtful and very tasty. The food was fantastic as well. A great spot to get a few plates and share with the table. Our server, JP, was awesome! He was charismatic, gave great suggestions, and made the experience wonderful. 10/10 dining experience.

Cool little place with delicious cocktails and food.
"wine-bar" isn't accurate, only had cocktails and they were all great. Food was simple but elevated and extremely well done. Would 1000% recommend this place and will be back.

They are one of the few places with happy hour in Vail! Great prices and tasty options. Also their staff is super friendly.

Sexy, stylish vibes all around this beautifully designed cocktail bar. It’s been on my list for a while and so many locals have recommended it! We had the Saved by the Bell (Mezcal, Tequila, Red bell pepper, Chilis. Savory with a bit of smoke and spice) and Pineapple Under The Sea made with Plantation Rum, both so good and potent. Knowledgeable and talented cocktail artists were happy to answer our questions about their selection as well. Thanks for a fun cocktail hour.

Timmy & JD took such amazing care of us. They made our stressful travel day melt away. We absolutely loved the intimate, lowlit atmosphere & welcoming vibes. Make sure to start off with a dozen of sweet oysters from BC & warm up with our personal fav (recommended by staff) Moroccan Zaalouk. If you love whiskey try Buck nasty! We will be back soon—sad to go home!

This is by far my most favorite place to have good quality nibbles and libations in Vail, CO. The emphasis on the patron experience is central to R&F service. I look forward to their Carajillo cocktail (expresso and such) YEARLY!!!! Employees are wonderful to jibber jabber with and truly care about their craft!!! Root and Flower, thank you for always taking care of us and making us feel welcome as we return year after year to visit ❤🤗 we will be back again in 2022 😊

We had an incredible meal at Root and Flower. Great wine, cocktails, and food. The staff was very personable and attentive. Looking forward to returning on our next visit.

Went here twice, once for lunch and then dinner. It's a really cute place with excellent small plates. They have a great wine and cocktail selection! Add this to your plans while in vail!

We just had a wonderful aprés. Jeremy was very knowledgeable and had knock-out service on our requested selections of wine, east and west coast oysters, and a chef’s choice charcuterie board.

Addition to my first review. Stopped in for an after dinner cocktail and was greeted by Joe, another very knowledgeable bartender. The drinks were delivered with depth on what we were looking for. I highly recommend stopping in. I’ll be back again before we leave town!

Update*.
We went back two other times before we left in January and when came back in March, visited two more times and the service and food was again impeccable. I can’t say enough good things and look forward to a visit again soon.

Stopped in for a snack and drink in the late afternoon. Drinks are made well and bartender is very friendly. The snack we picked was elk carpaccio, lean meat slices and a mini salad on top.

Great ambiance, drinks and food. The chef makes an incredible gluten free bread, and it was perfect for the mushrooms crostini!

We stopped here for drinks after dinner and were not disappointed! Amazing selection of unique and delicious cocktails, and great selection of wines and beer that you will not find anywhere else. The service is OUTSTANDING! The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. All of this paired with great ambience. We will definitely be back and next time we will also try the food!

We stopped in this place while we were waiting for our dinner reservation and we were happy we did! It’s a cute little wine bar with great vibes! My husband and I chose to sit at the bar and the bar tender was friendly and provided us with a great experience!

The menu is small, but they have great options. I got the desert solitaire and it was yummy! My husband ordered the autumn mezcal drink and really enjoyed it. We ordered two cheeses the 12 Month Aged Manchego and the Beemster. Bottom line, try them!

Perfect cocktails, location and vibe. Love the Saved by the Bell (mezcal) and Kir Mix A Lot (spritz) cocktails. Staff is very knowledgeable with spot-on recommendations. You can book ahead on Resy or walk-in (we had no problem with a 6pm walk-in with sitting outside). Bonus points for the olives + feta pasta with an amazing lemon/red chili flake sauce.

Loved our time at Root & Flower; Root & Flower is a great getaway, after a day of skiing. Root & Flower has delicious small plates, while you enjoy their unique drinks and atmosphere. I personally loved the fascinating presentation of the Griswold Family Christmas cocktail, and the taste didn't disappoint.

If I could I would have given this place 10/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. We were a party of 9 on a Sunday morning. The hostess took care of us and the chef was very flexible on modifying some menu items for our kids.
Service was very cordial and friendly. I wasn’t expecting much from their very elevated menu items but when the food arrived everything was very tasty and delicious.
Worth mentioning the biscuits and gravy, the quiche, and the banana bread.
We will return to try some of their bar selection.

We had a cheese board, duck fat potatoes, and the meatballs, all the food was excellent, the wine list was outstanding and the service and atmosphere are great too
