BackBurner Family Restaurant

I give this a 5 star, not in the way of a fancy restaurant, but in the perfect family dining experience. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, it had music playing at the perfect volume you could hear but still have a conversation and the food was excellent!
I ordered the 5 Car - Hash browns covered with chicken fried steak, 3 over medium eggs, topped with country gravy & cheese. If I had to find one thing to say negative in this review it was that the gravy needed a little spicing up with salt and pepper. It was a tasty meal and a huge portion!
The server gave me a complimentary cinnamon bun for my birthday and I have to say…I don’t usually order cinnamon rolls because they inevitably disappoint me because they’re dry…not this one! You’d be a fool to go to the Back Burner and not order one of these! It was warm, covered in frosting and the whole thing is gooey, sweet, heaven.
We’ll definitely return here when we’re in Prescott for another visit!

I love the small town vibe of this restaurant. Friendly staff, well seasoned food, and the cozy atmosphere were just a few of the reasons I loved my meal here. It was my fiancé's birthday and he received a huge cinnamon roll free of charge, and one of the best eggs Benedict I've had in a while. Service was incredibly efficient and I cant wait to come back!

While we occasionally visit this area, this was our first time here. Previous reviews showed that This was the place for burgers. Our waiter, Mathew, was great and even brought out the recipe for the ranch dressing which was just perfect.

The sweet potato fries were great and my low carb meal was amazing!

We are planning our next trip up to Prescott so we can be here for breakfast.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Backburner Family Restaurant in Prescott Valley, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. This place truly embraces the American spirit, offering a delightful culinary journey that celebrates classic American cuisine.

From the moment I stepped inside, the warm and inviting ambiance made me feel right at home. The staff members were friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was exceptional.

Now let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness, it was phenomenal! The menu boasted a wide array of mouthwatering dishes, from juicy burgers and tender steaks to crispy fried chicken and hearty sandwiches. Each dish was prepared with utmost care, and the flavors were absolutely divine. The generous portion sizes left me completely satisfied.

What impressed me the most was the attention to detail and the use of high-quality ingredients. The food was cooked to perfection, and the presentation was simply delightful.

If you're looking for a true taste of American cuisine, the Backburner Family Restaurant is the place to be. With their delicious offerings, friendly staff, and cozy atmosphere, it's no wonder they have become a local favorite. I wholeheartedly give this restaurant a well-deserved five-star rating.

What a fantastic, wholesome, small-town vibe restaurant. The food is always reliably good here, and the service has never been subpar. Not once ( even when it's been crazy busy) have I not been acknowledged the moment I walk through the door. This morning, we had the pleasure of having Audrey serve us our meal. She had a contagious smile, knew the menu, answered all of my questions regarding allergens, and was very tentative. My husband coffee never got low or cold, and anything we asked for was brought to us before very quickly.
Any time someone asks us, "What's good?" BackBurner is the first name we give them. Thanks for being such a great restaurant in a town where it's been difficult for us to find one.

Oh holy moly, this place is awesome! The service is some of the best I have ever experience, the manager stops by to inquire how your meal was, the ambiance is family-oriented. I will definitely return the next time I hike in the area.

The only negative: parking, lack of it, that is. But, it was Father's Day so it was very busy which could explain it.

The positives vastly overshadow the parking. After doing a 6-mile hike in the area, we were famished and decided to give BackBurner a try. We had to wait 40 minutes, but I would happily wait 40 minutes on our next visit. Well worth the wait, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

Our server, Nikala, was fantastic. In fact, every staff member we encountered was wonderful and smiling. Nikala was on the ball with everything, drinks, appetizers (hello cinnamon rolls!), the meal, extra water. The staff does not waste any time bussing tables. We saw a few parties leave and staff was right there cleaning up tables for the next party -- and no, it was not a "hurry up and get out so we can clean your table" situation. It was a "so glad you enjoyed yourself, please come again!" situation.

The cinnamon rolls came out hot and damn, my mouth is watering just thinking about them. Even later that evening my other half was still good! My croissant egg sandwich was just the perfect size, and my friend's small biscuits and gravy she devoured.

We brought our own take-home containers and as we were packing up our leftovers, the manager stopped by to chat. He was very polite and immediately saw our take-home containers, which started a conversation about saving the planet, avoiding plastic, etc etc. Great guy (sorry I cannot remember his name).

BackBurner was tucked a little bit away from our route back to Phoenix but we both were ecstatic with the service and food, the few extra minutes / miles did not matter one whit.

If you have not tried BackBurner, you are missing out. Get there!!

Our waitress Lisa was so kind and attentive to each of our orders. The food was amazing and we had nice conversations with Lisa as she took our orders and delivered them when they were ready. AAA+++ service!!! One of the many reasons why Blackburn is our favorite place to go.

We have been to BackBurner twice since moving to PV (we need to go more). Both times with my parents whom were visiting for the weekend. Tanya happened to be our server for the 2 visits. She is absolutely wonderful, consistently gives great service to us & tables around us. Breakfast was great!! Food is delicious. Will be back again without visitors!

We were in town visiting my son today and wanted to try something we hadn't had. Based on reviews and looking at the menu online, I decided this had enough options for the 9 of us. I seriously cannot complain about anything. I can't remember everything we all ordered, but my husband had the 5 car pile up and I had the border omelet. So yummy! Great portions! Our waitress was super nice and handled our large group with ease. We also made sure to indulge in both the traditional cinnamon roll and the maple pecan. Massive and delicious! We will definitely be returning. Side note: the parking lot was packed so we were a bit apprehensive and expected a wait. There was not one and we got right in. We went around noon. They are only opened until 2pm, so plan accordingly.

One of our favorite spots for a great breakfast. The food is always good. Good service. A good menu selection. If it's a big weekend, expect a wait. Yep, it's that popular!

These guys are amazing!!! Attentive, happy, very welcoming! 1st time here with my husband. He had cheeseburger and onion rings and me veggie omelet. Let me tell you it was the best omelet and I had a small bite of the cheeseburger and it was very good. My biscuit was so light and flaky, wonderful.
They stayed open way over closing time so it looks like it is a favorite of many people. Music was not super loud either. We have to rate a 5 star here

Can't say enough good things about this place. They've been around forever, and we've never had a bad meal here. It gets really busy on the weekends, but it's worth the wait. The wait staff is always friendly, and the food is always good

As in any mornings on the weekend, it is going to be busy but the staff is very prompt on clearing tables and getting you seated, which is appreciated having older parents that are usually with us.

The staff is friendly and courteous. Certainly prompt when it comes to other requests being made.

Food is good, straight up basic homecooked breakfast but done well. Our families have been coming here for over a year and we haven't had any complaints at all.

Well we tried again. This time it was great. I had the breakfast sandwich with ham. Very good. My husband had French toast, eggs and 🥓. I got the huge cinnamon roll for later. Ok service but they were very busy.

We went here for a family breakfast and it was superb. Really enjoyed the eggs Benedict and the eggs & chicken fried steak. Definitely a place to return to.

quick delightful service awesome food great people- it was like sitting in the kitchen of family- reasonable price under $100 4 very big delicious meals with drinks to boot! prickly pear and champagne - bloody beer and mary- yummmy! my only suggestion is to have a hold the bell pepper option- not my favorite flavor!

I love this place so much. I brought my fiancé here to show him one of my favorite childhood restaurants and we were not disappointed! Lisa took such wonderful care of us and gave so many great smiles and laughs. An absolutely 11/10 experience. I can’t thank you enough!

Love this place! Our favorite breakfast joint for sure. My husband loves their eggs benedict but with turkey sausage, and I love that I can build a healthy breakfast, poached egg, avocado and tomato. But if we are feeling I dulgent, the cinnamon roll is a go to for sure. Love that you can adjust any dish to make it your own. Great food and wonderful atmosphere!

My friends met one of the owners awhile back, offroading somewhere... anyhow, they wanted to try the restaurant so we did. It was delicious! We all got breakfast, and split one of the cinnamon rolls- divine! I went back this morning and brought some back to Chandler to share with my family.

Great service and super quick, even when it was busy. The owners really care about quality of service, food and atmosphere. I recommend this family restaurant !
