Signal Knob Overlook

The closest overlook to the northern entrance to shendoah about 39 mins driving its worth it. Come for sunset. Spectacular unforgettable views!!!! There's no bathroom nearby just incase except for nature. Great for photoshoots. You'll never forget it.

A must-see spot for all of you guys into stargazing, sunsets, cloudy/foggy conditions, and just scenic views in general! Driving down from Front Royal, this overlook is good enough (compared to the other overlooks) in terms of elevation, views, and etc. Because of all that it offers, this overlook has officially become our go-to spot for all-things relaxation!

It cost $ 30.00 for me and my husband. You can use your receipt for up to 7 days..as many times as you would like. The park stays open 24 hours.

The Skyline drive views are spectacular and breathtaking. It takes a while to get into the park because there are a lot of visitors, but the wait is worth it. Visit in the fall when the leaves are changing colors, the views as you drive and from the overlooks are beautiful, like a scene from a master's painting.

One beautiful lookout that you see on the skyline drive. Fall foliage was not at its peak, but still the views were amazing!

This place is beautiful for the sunset i have yet to go for a sunrise but the sunset is beautiful.

There is a $30 fee to drive, but it’s good for the week or so, but I think it is well worth it and if you’re with someone it’s even better.

Normally this would be one of our favorite pull offs on Skyline Drive to check out the valley.

Unfortunately the day we were there it was fogged in but we still enjoyed the ride. In one of my pictures you'll see not much when you look over the side. The ride itself is fun though and we enjoyed it regardless of the fog.

What a great view of the Shenandoah Valley while driving along Skyline Drive. We drove along the Park around 4 pm with it very cloudy and overcast. Even without the clear skies the views were stunning. The whole family enjoyed the trip, views, and photos. When the leaves start turning this will be truly breathtaking. I can't wait to come back for the views.

One of my favorite items at skyline drive, it offers a stunning view of the western side of the ridge. Great place to look at the stars at night too.

Great day trip. Views are great and easy to pull off road at designated viewing / parking areas.
