Cornerstone Animal Clinic - Dr Mike Anderson

Doctor Anderson is one of the kindest veterinarians I have ever met. He and Doctor Heather, also at Cornerstone, have helped me so very much with my 3 dogs and 3 cats. Today my 7-month-old puppy cut her foot and hit an artery. Doctor Anderson, " Dr. Mike," not only fit us in and took care of my puppy, but he also stayed late. I am so very grateful to have found Cornerstone. Thank you so much, Doctor Mike for taking care of Aurora today! I am most grateful.

We came as first time patients for our kitty Clementine who had alarming symptoms that another clinic was brushing off as nothing more than her breed and age being the cause. This clinic was warm to Clementine, even the front desk women, and they were thorough without being in a hurry and showed lots of empathy and sincerity. After the tests, we found out she had cancer and was too far along, so we sadly had to let her go. But the amount of empathy we received, especially as new patients, was incredible and I appreciate that. We didn't leave feeling like a nuisance, we left feeling sympathized and understood. They even went out of their way to make a small condolence card for Clementine's passing.

Had a bit of an emergency with my older dog and was able to get in the same day. They are very courteous And helped him on the path to recovery. I really like that they are a Christian based business.. The vet we visited with was very personable and did a great job. Took extra time to visit with us.. Charlie is 16 and still doing OK..

I had been there only with some foster pups I had. I took one of my own dogs there a few days ago and felt so relieved after leaving. He had a quick response to every question I asked. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt confident in what a vet was telling me, or advice given to me. And he actually talked to me on the phone. Most vets rarely will take phone calls or call you, it’s usually the staff that calls, therefore you can’t ever ask any additional questions. I was very happy with Dr. Anderson and we will be back ! We brought our 3 cats to see Dr Heather Mahlen today. She was very thorough examining them and so helpful explaining about the different inoculations we could give them at their advancing age. We have been cat people forever, but we learned a lot from her today. She’s terrific. We can highly recommend her and the Cornerstone Animal Clinic.

We ended up here for an emergency visit for our kitten's paw. Office was very nice and clean. These folks were fantastic, extremely kind, very transparent with costs of everything they wanted to do for her, and very thorough in explaining what they found on her x-ray, how to move forward, etc. They even took out textbooks to show us diagrams of how the ankle should look and what went wrong. I was beyond pleased with the care and accomodations we received here.

Just a great place to take your Fur Babies!!! Worked with us to get our Ol Girl in-so that she wouldn't have to do without an important medication for her Thank you

Today was my pup’s first visit at this facility and the staff were all extremely kind and patient. My dog has severe anxiety and I felt a little uneasy leading up to the visit, but Dr. Heather put me at ease and took the time to listen and answer all of my concerns. She was very empathetic and sweet, and I feel we were in good capable hands. This was a very positive experience!

Dr. Heather is an absolute treasure. I have a pittie mix that can be a lot, and she got in the floor and let her give so many kisses. She took the time to really talk to me and figure out what is going on with my dog’s allergies and anal glands. Definitely the best experience I’ve had with my pittie. My dog felt so comfortable and did so well. The entire staff is kind. I’ve had offices treat us very differently in the past because my dog can be reactive. They were so kind and accepting.

Dr Anderson is the best! I have used him for my pets for 23 years. That should tell you enough right there. He is personable and caring and gives me options when there are some. He talks to you about your pet and doesn't rush thru your appointment. I can't imagine taking them anywhere else

Dr. Mike is an outstanding vet and surgeon. He is very compassionate with his patients and their owners. He has taken excellent care of my cats from routine check-ups to surgery. The clinic operates like a well oiled machine. The staff are friendly, professional, and always organized. The pricing is fair and transparent. I highly recommend Dr. Mike and Cornerstone. I’d give more stars if I could!

The cornerstone animal clinic has been a welcoming, sincere, kind, and caring every time we have had to visit. When my dog was nearly dying from a severe infection they provided a cost sensitive care option that was enough to get our pup through the sickness she was fighting. Further their staff always have smiles and are willing to work with you through the process.

Dr. Anderson and his team are always greatly appreciated. They do a awesome job at explaining care needed and listening to our concerns. They are gentle with both our dogs and are very patient with our skiddish dog.

Dr Anderson is the best. Very straight forward, honest caring vet.
I love going to him because he doesn't add on extras if there not needed. He's been great with all 6 of my dogs.

Dr, Heather Mahlen greatly exceeded all our expectations. She patiently listened to the medical history of out cat Bubba, clearly described the medical condition issues, suggested treatment options, and then showed us how to administer the fluids and medications. Most excellent!!!

Dr Anderson is the best veterinarian I have ever taken any of my animals too. He is very friendly open a great energy about him and above all things he cares very deeply for the animals in their owners. I am a disabled vet and have a limited monthly income and he is always been more than willing to work with me on anything I needed for my little girl. If you are looking for a place to take your animals to get the best care you will possibly receive this is definitely the business you want to come to. I cannot say enough good about this place. The front staff is very friendly the nurses are very friendly it is very clean it is very bright and it is very calming. I highly highly highly recommend Dr Anderson

We found a bone tumor on our 10 year old doberman, Apollo, during an x-ray at another vet. I reached out to Dr. Anderson to discuss what options would be best for us to pursue for Apollo.

He reviewed x-rays I sent him and called me the next day. He spent 10-15 minutes discussing the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment options-particularly, whether or not surgery (amputation) would provide our dog with more comfort during the time he had left.

During our discussion, he was very respectful of any wishes we had as pet owners to keep our pet alive, but was also dutiful in informing of us what was really best for my pet. In the end, he and I both agreed that amputation and recovery would be traumatic and costly without much added quality of life.

Although I'd never met Dr. Anderson in person, he gave me the advice and answers I was looking for. He could have recommended surgery and easily brought several thousand dollars to his business, but instead, he had the best interest of my dog in mind and gave recommendations that allowed me to manage my pet's pain with our local vet back home.
