Ponce de Leon Family Dentistry

By far the best dentist office I’ve ever been to. I was terrified of dentists my entire life and the delicate care and warm, welcoming staff has completely changed that for me. They have always been so incredibly gentle when dealing with my teeth and don’t push any unnecessary treatments like some dentists offices in town. You can tell they genuinely care about the well being of their patients and take the time to develop a care plan for you. I had always had bad experiences with dentists growing up. I have been coming to this dentist office for a few years now and can say that I truly love and appreciate the work they do and the care involved. I highly recommend this office to anyone in town!

Today I broke my tooth and In a panic I called dr. haeussners office for an appointment. The office was so amazing they were able to get me in same day and actually took care of my tooth with a brand new crown!! Dr.haeussner was so gentle and took the time to explain everything! I couldn’t ask for a better experience! The Office and staff are wonderful! Definitely will recommend to all my family and friends!! Big thanks for ponce de Leon family dentistry!!

Simply the best! I dont really leave reviews but this one had to written. I have been to too many dentists over the years and have mostly been disappointed or unhappy with the work that I had done..until today. Dr Haeussner is amazing! I needed to have a crown done. All I can say is the crown looks more like my teeth than my own teeth. It is perfect in color and fit. I havent had any pain or irritation and did I mention it looks AMA-zing? I couldnt be happier. Dr Haeussner is a proffessional and what he does is state of the art dentistry. The attention to detail is impressive and something that seems to be hard to find these days. He is laid back and approachable. I feel I can ask him questions and get the best advice for the next steps for care. His staff is very kind, personable and patient. I had to schedule and reschedule my appointment and Amanda was very graceful about my hectic changes. I am thankful I found the office.

My husband and I recently moved into the area and I was looking for a dentist. I have some old fillings that need to be replaced with crowns. (I even had to have a crown replaced from another dental office that was only a year old because it had cracked.) I read the reviews about Ponce de Leon Family Dentistry and felt they would be a good fit. I’m so glad I found them! Dr. Haeussner is fantastic! He explains everything so clearly and he is very gentle. He doesn’t rush and takes the time to make sure the bite feels right. The entire staff is very kind and professional and the office is very clean. The crowns are done the same day. Great place! Great service! Great people!

I went to Ponce de Leon Dentistry as a new patient. Inside the facility was nice and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Dr. Haeussner was very laid back and professional. I had a one day crown done. Dr. Haeussner is a perfectionist, he did all the measurements himself. The crown turned out perfect (and I am very picky)! He knows what he's doing. Definitely a five star dentist!

Amazing experience! I am a new patient and they got me in so quickly compared to other offices I called. Amanda helped me get my x-rays from my old office when they wouldn't offer me any kind of reassurance that they would send them before my first visit. She also helped me get my husband into the office quickly for his first visit too. The hygienist (I'm so sorry I can't remember her name!) was so caring and took time to explain everything she was doing, I've never had that kind of attentiveness before. It was great to learn about all the things that are usually just done without explanation. Dr. Haeussner was also so helpful in determining the pros and cons of the service I was inquiring about. He made it very clear on what I was to expect and I really appreciated him giving me the tools to make an informed decision. Overall I'm so happy I found this amazing office and I'll be coming here for years to come :)

I just want to say that this dental practice is definitely a 5 star place.I am normally terrified of the dentist. I have had the best care from this place. The dentist and his staff are the best. I am no longer afraid of treatment. It was pain free and everyone in the office is caring and patient. I never wait long and they are very accommodating. I recommend going here if you are like me and have anxiety about treatment. Thank you everyone for changing my my anxiety to knowing I will have the best care!!!

Growing up, I didn’t have very good dental experiences, so as an adult I had a fear of going to the dentist. Ponce De Leon Family Dentistry changed that completely! Everyone is very friendly, knowledgeable, and makes the entire experience extremely comfortable. I never thought I would ever say I love going to the dentist- but I do! If anyone reading this is on the fence about going to this practice, do yourself a favor and make an appointment!!

This is the best dental office I have ever been to. Dr Hausner is not only incredibly skilled and down-to-earth, but also very trustworthy. Unlike other offices, you can totally trust his recommendations. He does not advise extra or unnecessary work. He’s fair and practical. The staff is all warm and welcoming. The office is beautiful and comfortable. It feels more like you’re visiting someone’s home rather than a dental office. I’ve also never had to sit in the waiting room for more than a quick moment.

Fantastic dentist and hygienists! The office is beautiful, comfortable and clean and they have handled COVID protocols flawlessly. They are open and honest with you about pricing, insurance coverage and Dr. H would never recommend something that your teeth (and wallet) do not need. I highly, highly recommend. I have been using Ponce de Leon Family Dentistry since 2007 and am thoroughly satisfied with the professionalism of the entire staff. The office is clean, organized and comfortable. My previous dental experiences prior to Ponce de Leon have not been pleasant. I have recommended friends and neighbors and will continue to recommend Dr. Haeussner and his competent staff. I have been a patient for several years now. I love the fact that they offer the opportunity to have an after-work appointment which makes it great that I don't have to take off time from work. And as the staff are great, it's a nice way to wind down at the end of a busy day. Always look forward to going. My wife likes having a day appointment and because they don't overbook, they run on time so there is never a long wait. Not everyone can say they thoroughly enjoy their time with their dental hygienist, but Cole' is great.

I moved to St. Augustine 6 years ago and did quite a bit of “dentist shopping” but wasn’t satisfied with any of them. Then I overheard some ladies in my water aerobics class rave about Dr. Haeussner and his entire staff at Ponce de Leon Family Dentistry. As soon as I walked in for my first appointment, I knew I had found my “home”. Dr. H is one skilled dentist! I literally almost drifted off to sleep while he was drilling one of my teeth to replace a crown. (This coming from someone who used to have such a dentist phobia that I would have to take a sedative before office visits). And his staff was just as warm and compassionate as he was. I am so grateful that I found this office.

Dr. H and his staff are wonderful. I’ve been a dental phobe for most of my life, but he is so gentle, I’m still nervous, but I can handle anything he does. In 53 years of being alive, Dr. H is the only dentist who realizes that a person is attached to my mouth. I highly recommend!

I like the fact that when I make an appointment I know that I will not have to wait once I get there, they do not overbook and run on time. Just had my first appointment here and I had a great time (I know, it sounds weird). The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hygienist Kasey had me cracking up the entire time. They were all very skilled and knowledgeable: Amanda in the front office had to delve further into my insurance issue, Kasey was thoroughly examining each tooth and my gums, and Dr. H examined and took the time to actually show and explain my x-rays and current recommendations. Each of them took their time, were cheerful, and seemed to really enjoy being there. I've been so used to moody dentist offices that I never looked forward to them, but now I will. :)

I have been a regular customer of Ponce de Leon Family Dentistry for over seven years now and love it. The staff is always extremely professional and courteous; you can reach tell customer service is a top priority for them. The doctor also takes his time and is very personable and easy to talk to.
